Had the most wonderful stay at this property! The service is impeccable, everyone at the front desk is very friendly and welcoming; specifically Andrew A; he was very attentive and helped guide me through the process of extending my stay, even though it was 6am!! I enjoyed this hotel so much I decided to extend my room. the location is fantastic, you overlook the ocean, right on sunset cliff and the staff is friendly and always helpful with whatever your needs are for your stay.

I was not impressed with this location. The beds were comfortable but very outdated. The pillows were horrific. They were so soft that I had to fold them in half so my head just didn't sink into them. The bed covers were itchy also. They didn't offer any incentives as far as free breakfast or anything. They had a $24 breakfast buffet. Which I think is a bit expensive, honestly. The trash cans had no liners in them. The trash cans, mini refrigerator, and microwave were incredibly tiny. The bathroom was nice. I did enjoy that feature. Every day, I had someone come into my room and straighten up the place, but I was only there 4 nights. I asked them not to have anyone come in, and they came in anyway. (Shaking my head) The do not disturb sign was missing from my room, so I couldn't place it on the door for housekeeping to see, however I did inform the front desk that I would prefer no one to come in daily. Clearly, that was not told to the housekeeping staff, as I requested. There was an awful smell in the hallways of the hotel, as well. The carpets were dingy and dirty also. They listed a lot of amenities that were not inside the hotel but instead nearby. I would not recommend this particular location. I would stay at another hotel in Carlsbad, CA, personally.

Rooms were ok, location was bad as constant noise from the road. The bar service/breakfast was over priced. I doubt I’ll stay there again.

Location is walking distance from the beach. Hotel itself is nice, and maintained. They offer a variety of fun outdoor games like ping pong, darts, and corn hole. The bartender made us cocktails that were so bad we would have rather just had shots.
Mainly just slept here and the bed was very comfortable. Tv doesn’t have a guide.

We were in San Diego for a family gathering and wanted to stay near the family member's home. The Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad was a good option with availability, so I pounced on one of the last few available rooms for the dates we needed.
We were very pleased with the location, which was out of the way and quiet. The facility was very well-maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet and had all our needed basic amenities. The bed and mattress were very comfortable, and that was a big plus.
There is a restaurant in the building. We did not eat there, but the people who did seemed very happy with the food.
The place has a nice yard with a fireplace and a pool. When we were there, it was too cold to take advantage of these facilities, but I'm sure those who have found them relaxing and fun.
The Inn has a parking lot, but it costs $22 per night. I was not too happy about that, but there were no other options.
All in all, we were happy with our stay and will consider staying there again.
Rooms: Very comfortable and well maintained.

I met Shiva and Skylar at the front desk upon my arrival - and they were excellent!! They patiently answered all my questions and provided great tips towards making my stay memorable! Loved my room. Received a fair rate due to the off season. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. I wasn't able to check out the pool or jacuzzi so i couldn't tell you about the temperature but it looked lovely.
Only downsides were the pay for breakfast ($20 for buffet or off the menu items) and the pay for parking ($22 each night). Wish i knew that going in, but the parking lot felt safe and there was plenty of it so that was nice. In the end the proximity to the beach was my favorite part of this stay.
