Can't buy anything if your sales staff claims they are short staffed so customers can't try anything on. Good thing there are lots of other stores to purchase from with open dressing rooms!

Dear Guess Customer Service,I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had at the Guess store in Carlsbad, California.On Dec. 29, 2023, I encountered an extremely unpleasant situation with your employees, who later identified themselves as Karine, claiming to be the store manager, and her colleague, Maria. The encounter left me feeling very disrespected and stressed, and I believe it is crucial for Guess management to be aware of such incidents and review the store cameras.During my attempt to return items, I was met with hostility from your employees. The first one was not welcoming from the beginning, and the second lady, who claimed to be the store manager, supported her colleague instead of assisting the customer. She told me that the order was placed in September and didn't allow me to show my online order on my phone. I tried to explain that it might be a mistake on your end, as I didn't place any orders in September, and all the items were purchased in December. However, she continued to disrespect me, refusing to process the return and accusing me of being rude--a claim that I found baseless and unjustified. In fact, she was very rude as a manager. I have never had the same awful experience in any other store in the past. I am still shocked and upset when I remember how they both treated me today. The lady who called herself the store manager went further and threatened me repeatedly that she would call the security guard to throw me out. The security guy came and, although he knew them and seemed to be friends with them, didn't take any action as he noticed I wasn't violating anything.Anyhow, I decided to call Guess customer service as she was continuing to treat me disrespectfully, insisting that I leave the store. I stayed calm and called customer service, and meanwhile, until connected to the customer service supervisor, I asked for her name and the other lady's name to share with the customer service supervisor. Surprisingly, she told me that they are not allowed to share their real names, explaining that they don't have name tags and should use fake names. I asked her to write down their names, either real or fake, and she wrote her names as Karine (the one who claimed she is the store manager) and the other lady Maria. So, I am not sure if she shared their real names, but I have her handwriting. This policy seems highly unusual and unprofessional. The United States never promotes lies. So, how come Guess taught its employees to lie!!!I sought assistance from Guess customer service and connected with Louis, who not only shared his name, Louis, but also his employee code, which was 71. Louis demonstrated professionalism and listened to my concerns. Together, we discovered that the issue stemmed from a discrepancy in date formats, where all papers accompanying the package were written in the European style (day-month-year.....06/12/2023). I don't understand how they returned a few items with the same date order, and then she made an excuse for the last one, whereas other papers have been written in the same order....day/month/year.While I appreciate Louis's assistance, I am troubled by the stark contrast in behavior between him and the store employees. I believe it is essential for the district manager and regional manager to address this inconsistency and clarify whether Guess instructs its employees to use fake names, as indicated by Karine.I am sharing my experience with others and am hesitant to continue supporting Guess unless I receive a sincere apology from the employee involved. It is my hope that Guess does not allow untrained and unprofessional behavior to tarnish its reputation.I kindly request a prompt written response further investigation into this matter.I looking forward to hearing from Guess managment.

Could not find the clothes we wanted. Guess management instead of replying with the same sentences to each complainant should carefully review and reply in a professional manner with an apology.Customers are prime in business, particularly when giant famous brands are in competition. Secondly, staff needs training to deal with the customers...

I came in to try on jeans and they said the fitting room was closed and the store closed in 30 mins. Later on I found out the mall didn’t close for another hour. Lame.

I gave one star just to get on this board as zero stars weren't an option. I'm a huge fan of this brand but this Carlsbad store closed every fitting room today. Not even a single stall was open to try on sizes before purchasing. The Manager claimed it was to prevent smash and grabs...but I have yet to hear about these types of thieves actually taking the time to try on the armful of clothes they are about to steal. Put a sign on the front door if your fitting rooms are closed so we don't waste time shopping, only to find out in the end.

I went there yesterday july 14 and i dont like the sales person. They are not friendly, not helping of what u want. They are so dry of how they approach the customer.

Customer service is absolutely terrible. Asked for help twice and the employee pretended to hear me both times. Wouldn't help me find my size, rolled their eyes at me, and then wouldn't let me in the fitting room because they were about to close. It was 7:15 and they close at 8pm.Would not recommend

The salesperson #358050 had poor customer service skills. We were met with her at the register where we asked a simple question about the item maybe being 25% off. Instead of professionally communicating that it was not, that the sign was possibly for a different section, she answered full of attitude with her gum coming out of her mouth, basically yelling NOPE nope nope.It’s not wonder they are short staffed, nobody wants to work with staff like this.
