I live in New Jersey and ordered wine to be shipped, and while they were very responsive and friendly, it doesn't erase the fact that they shipped the wine across the country in 100-degree plus heat with only two 7.5-ounce ice packs. As a result, the wine arrived, and the bottle was 87 degrees. While I did sign a waiver, I assumed it would have been packed in ice to protect it. When signing a waiver, part of the agreement is you are going to uphold a certain standard, and shipping wine across the country with two small ice packs is not upholding your end of the waiver, in my opinion. I emailed them and told them, and, in general, they didn't care. If you are ordering locally, I am sure they are a good company, but if you are ordering anywhere else where shipping is involved, I would think twice about it.

If you're a serious collector these are guys you should know. Exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging. As an avid collector they understand the market and each of their clients portfolio, only offering the best and never try to "sell" a vintage that they know isn't to your liking.

I have personally been in the Fine and Rare wine business here in Northern California since 1990 and these guys take it to a new level, hands down. I have had over 100 transactions with GRW and their staff is amazing with knowledge of the fine and rare along with impeccable provenance of every bottle they sell. This review is long overdue and is being left for their warehouse staff.OMG they way they pack every single bottle, case or 3 Liters of Bordeaux, the packages could take a side trip around the earth and still show up in PRISTINE CONDITION! Bravo GRW!

A friend recommend me this company to buy some Vérité wines, I send them an email around 10PM their time and to my surprise I got a reply in less than one hour. From that moment I exchanged about 5-6 emails with Garrick Whittaker with different questions I had and adding/removing wines. I did a Yelp and Google search to find out they didn’t have any reviews yet, to which Garrick explained that previously they were operating at the same location under a different name. So it all seems like they have been in the wine-trade business for around 20 years and they know what they are doing.From the start I felt that Garrick took my inquiries seriously and put the time to answer every question. I can tell you they are amount the lowest price in almost every wine they carry, and they are definitely in the top tear quality wise!When I had built my order of 20 bottles I had to remove a few since it was some discrepancies in what I was expecting to pay and the final price, in part because I wanted to pay via CC to add a layer of protection since after all it’s the very first time ordering… The last step was to give a call to Logan Wynn to provide with the CC#, while on the phone I asked him another couple of questions and I got straightforward responses. In about 2 more hours my boxes were in FedEx possession and I got an email with tracking information from Jeremy Runkle.This morning I received all 13 bottles in a magnificent well protected fashion, with some ice packs to help with the Florida heat. Upon inspection all were in prestige conditions except one bottle of 2004 Vérité La Muse that had a slightly elevated cork. To me this is a very big deal because it’s likely that bottle was subject to excessive heat at some point in time, I’m sure it was not on the way here because they all arrived in great shape and perfectly packaged, that must have been when they acquired the wine, who knows.At the end I’m happy with the overall experience, I interacted with 3 people and they all did they parts, it feels like they are a good team and I hope we can keep on doing business in the future… I think you can do to!
