I’ve had an equinox membership previously at the West Hollywood location & after almost 2 years of not being a member I unfortunately now find myself at the La costa location…so far, I’ve been to one yoga class & it was jammed pack (not ideal) haven’t cared to try the other classes yet. There’s limited workout machines! Making the wait times long during peak hours & the machines they do have are all outdated! I’ve definitely been to way less expensive gyms with far superior equipment. 3 stair masters broken one day also all old and outdated. Sometimes it feels like I’m working out at a 24 hour fitness… when I signed up I used my friend as a referral & we both got the referral credit of $100 which the sales rep told me would be able to be applied to the snack bar, the shop or towards my monthly bill but when I told the guy at the front desk about it the first time he said he’d let “them” know and “they’d” get back to me (“they” never got back to me) I asked about it a whole month later and the lady tells me at the front desk that it must have been a miscommunication & that they don’t do use referral credits towards the snack bar or monthly bill ? k cool. Showers are clean, locker rooms are clean and walls are aesthetically pleasing.

I had the most delightful experience with Amy Adams during my hydrofacial session at Equinox. Not only was the atmosphere serene and inviting, but her expertise and attention to detail truly made the experience exceptional. My skin felt rejuvenated and glowing afterward, and I left feeling relaxed and pampered. I highly recommend Amy for anyone looking for a professional and luxurious skincare treatment. She really is extremely knowledgeable and wants to help her clients have great skin! Thank you, Amy!

I visited as a guest while on the West Coast. It’s a pretty small Equinox. The staff was super friendly, the classes were great and left me sore for days even though no workout regularly.Great juice / smoothie bar, I just wish the server paid more attention to me than to her cell phone while interacting with me.

Racist immature staff. The guests will invade your space and get your membership revoked without any investigation on what happened. Ian the general manager let them target me. Typical racist Carlsbad

Overcrowded and way overpriced, dirty/stinky/& tiny steam room. Good Yoga classes is the only reason I gave 2stars, super crowded and extremely small weight room- have to wait for every one of the few machines they have- an hour workout could easily take 2hrs due to the wait on machines! $220/mo!! Happy they finally relaxed the VAXXX mandates and allowing non-VAX'd people to join.

Snobby gym where they’ll take your money at their Earthbar but won’t let you use the restroom. What kind of establishment won’t let you use their restroom when you spend money at their establishment?!? Completely unacceptable and terrible customer service. If this is how they treat a potential customer no thanks!

To Amy in the Spa specifically - I received a hydra facial from her and I cannot speak highly enough about the experience and the results. She thoughtfully explains the process and what each phase of the facial does for your skin. I also really struggle with whiteheads and she was able to get them all out & the extractions were almost healed by the next day (which has never been the case for me after extractions). I'm so happy with the results - this is the most satisfied I've been with the results after a facial. Amy will continue to be my go to for facials from here on out.

TERRIBLE Management ! To small inside gets very crowded. They have had the same equipment for atleast 10 years. They have never upgraded their equipment. For $215 per month use your money elsewhere.

I've been going to the La Costa Equinox for about ~4 months and I can't say enough great things about the staff, trainers, variety of classes and amenities. I was previously using ClassPass and it was starting to become the same cost as a membership to Equinox without the amenities and the unlimited classes hence, the switch. I will agree that the cost of membership is high for a gym but the quality and variety of classes, access to trainers, locker room w/ steam room, and equipment is worth it if you are someone who regularly uses ClassPass or goes to local studios for cycle, mat pilates or yoga and likes access to a gym. Also, I can't say enough great things about my personal trainer Gwen who I've been working with for the past 3 months. She is amazing at what she does and has made me feel so comfortable working out with weights and machines. If you are considering Equinox I highly encourage you to check it out!

I came in today and tried to buy a guest pass like every other gym on the planet. They don't sell day passes. Only memberships. One star.

I want to express my gratitude for the outstanding service we received from Eli at Equinox. As someone deeply involved in building sales teams and follow-up processes within my industry, I am particularly discerning when it comes to these aspects. Eli not only met but exceeded my expectations with his impeccable follow-up process. What sets Eli apart is his ability to strike the perfect balance between diligence and a genuine, conversational approach. In an industry where hitting numbers can sometimes overshadow the human connection, Eli's consideration and thoughtful communication style were a breath of fresh air. He made the entire process feel like a meaningful conversation rather than just a transaction. Beyond the initial interactions, Eli has consistently maintained communication, ensuring that my partner and I have had a stellar experience. It's clear that he is dedicated to fostering positive relationships with clients, and his approach reflects a genuine care for their well-being. I also want to give a special shout-out to Luis at Equinox. Coming from a background in the fitness industry, I've witnessed and developed numerous trainers. Luis's style of progressive programming with his clientele is truly commendable. Early mornings at the gym can sometimes lack energy, but Luis brings not only expertise but also a friendly and open demeanor. The other morning, his willingness to engage in conversation added a personal touch that is often rare to find. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful to see a long-time friend, Caslyn, training inside the gym. It's heartwarming to witness familiar faces in such a well-kept and welcoming environment. In conclusion, Eli, Luis and Caslyn have contributed significantly to our positive experience at Equinox. Eli's follow-up process is a testament to his professionalism and genuine care, while Luis's expertise and friendly approach make each visit enjoyable. Kudos to both for their exceptional contributions to the Equinox experience!

"Kacy " was at front desk today chatting with friends and she didn't see me crossing the lobby while I was in a phone call. Than when I went inside the gym area. She asked a lady ( maybe a member of the gym ) to go after me and bring me to the front desk. I retuned and she said that she didn't see my "face". Than under her lack of professionalism I just show her my check in and move on, than she just said : sorry is for your security. What? If she said I need to see if your plan is active or anything related to a front desk duties I will agreed. Than I told her to pay attention with people walking in and out for my " security", I feel so upset than I give up of my training. Hope someone see that...
