They have gotten better, pricing-wise, in the last year. They weren't always the best prices (compared to the Morena, Vista and San Marcos locations), but they seem to have the better lines than the Vista location. I attribute that to the demographics of Carlsbad.
Many of the gas station monitors are not very bright people and I have watched them allow people to hold up lines, block traffic, and sit at a pump that's not being used for three and four minutes.
If you ever consider getting the upside app, if you're getting $200 in rebates from upside, spend $60 for a Costco membership and you will save exponentially. More money. Take $0.07 off or $0.50 off, Costco will give you the bigger savings and they use top tier gas exclusively. Plus, Costco gas has tire pressure stations that are free and open during their store business hours

Generally the best prices in the North county. Good quality gas. It's called top tier. The only problem is there are usually lines most of the day so it'll take you a few minutes to get up to the pump

Usually the best gasoline prices around, but lines can be long. My husband and I frequently get up early on Saturday or Sunday morning and head over to Costco for gas and encounter no lines!

Consistently lower gas prices. Go early morning or late evening if you don't want to wait too long!

Always the best prices.

Best gas prices around. Lines can be long, but there are 3 pumps per line so they go relatively fast.

Usual layout but the traffic was heavy, couldn't fill gas yesterday. Had to do it today at a different location

Always busy but the line seems to move quite quickly. The lower cost of gas makes up for the wate.

Cheap gas, always a line. 35 gal tank make it worth going here

Cheaper than the surrounding gas stations as usual but costlier when compared to other Costco gas stations outside the San Diego area. Can't help as ⛽ is costly in SD. Wait times are high and getting in can be a bit late.

At least on a Friday morning, had a quick fill and no wait.

All Costco locations are reliably great. Quality, value, customer satisfaction assured. They have my loyalty, respect and trust.
However, the trouble with this one, sadly like several others in San Diego and Orange Counties is it is extremely overcrowded.
I got gas here and the line started on Palomar Road. 55 minutes of creeping thru a line of hundreds of cars.
My car uses only premium grade and holds about 16 gallons when near empty. So I saved about 16 bucks versus alternatives in the immediate area.
This visit I had plenty of time, so the wait was well worth it. Otherwise I would only visit very early or late.
