Costal Car Care is the only place I would send, in this case, my daughter to have her beautiful 2008 Toyota Yaris (with about a billion miles) maintained. Looking around at her options for repair in Long Beach was producing a range of estimates and guesses. Being a young woman she was getting the runaround. I asked her to drive south to North San Diego County (San Marcos) as I know we would get the straight poop on what was wrong. It ended up being new brakes and drums for the rears. The brakes were so bad they prepared us for a master cylinder replacement based on symptoms so we crossed our fingers and approved whatever needed to be done. Turns out just replacing the rear brakes was all it needed. In other words, they could have replaced the master cylinder and we would not have known the difference. That’s exactly why we brought our business to CCC. Not for good news but truth and honesty. They called later in the day and gave us the good news - only rear brakes were needed. In at 10 am, out at 3pm same day only added to our satisfaction. Nice to have a competent auto repair shop on your team and I recommend you move these guys to the top of your list! Btw, this was my second repair as I brought my 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman to CCC for brakes on all four wheels. Same great experience. Highly recommended!!!

This shop is frikkin fantastic! Just got some shiny new headers on my '55 Bird and they look and sound GREAT! They rebuilt my brake system and the car stops on a dime... We are so lucky to have this excellent shop close by!

Cory and the others at CCC are knowledgeable and friendly and provide excellent service and advice. The whole experience in dealing with then I felt they wanted nothing more than to provide excellent service and advice. My wife and I moved into the area 2 years ago and I have been looking around for a decent auto shop for services and maintenance. Took 2 years and finally found it.

I can't say enough good words about Cory and the gang at CCC! They truly are that mechanic shop you hope to find. They are kind, professional, priced according to their experience and fair! The most important thing to me is they are transparent. For example, I took my daily to them for regular maintenance and asked for an alignment as I thought it felt slightly off. Cory called and said it was ready to be picked up and that I didn't need the alignment. He said everything was in spec. That's something you should pay attention to on a shop. Honesty. They could have easily taken my money and did the "alignment". If you need another example, my daily is a 2015 and the transmission completely failed. Long story short, they helped coach me with some choice phrasing when it came to requesting the dealership replace the transmission on their dime. It really paid off and I was able to get it replaced at a fraction of the normal cost. I also have a weekend car that spent a couple months with them at the shop. They took very good care of her and laid out everything I needed to get her up and on the street again. They even prioritized what was most important and some items I could push for a later date. They also enjoyed showing me the work they did and showed me some areas under the car that might need some love in the future. The work they did was fantastic! Felt like a new car! Truly, from your classics to modern daily drivers, I absolutely would recommend CCC for all your car needs!

We own two aging Toyotas, and up until last year, had been having difficulty finding a good shop that was happy to work on older cars. My hunt finally brought me to Coastal Car Care. It is 24 miles from our residence, but well worth every mile.
When we chose to keep driving our older cars, more maintenance was to be expected, and sometimes the problems that come up are harder to diagnose. This is where this family-owned business really pays off! The combined knowledge with two generations of experience at this facility really makes a difference!
I’ve been working a lot with Cory there, and as an example of this expertise, we had a problem for 1 1/2 years with our Camry stalling intermittently, happening about once a month. The car wouldn’t “act up” in the shop, and previous mechanics couldn’t figure it out. Cory’s systems knowledge kicked in, however, and he quickly solved the problem! We’re so thankful to have safe, reliable transportation once again.
I’m convinced this is the best independent shop in North County. The integrity, professionalism, and expertise I’ve witnessed here is a huge relief, and I know we’ve found a shop we can depend on in the days to come.

I am a "typical reviewer" and only write reviews when I have an "out of this world" experience...good or bad. Yesterday, I had that good experience at Coastal Car Care. My car was towed to this place in rain, but when we arrived at the place, Cory was there to greet us. We discussed the symptoms I had witnessed in the car trouble I had. Cory listened to them intently and planned out his strategy for troubleshooting. The most impressive part of his troubleshooting was the simplicity with which thought...looking at eliminating smaller and simpler things out of the way. The best reason for me to write this was the honest approach in solving my issues, not making more money for himself. I just moved here from the Bay Area where I had a reliable mechanic shop I used for more than 20 years. I hope to use Coastal Car Care for the next 20+ years!

I received top-tier service for my Jeep Wrangler back in November. Many issues were addressed during my service and this family-owned business was upfront and extremely helpful during this diagnostic. They truly valued my time and cared for my vehicle and I was able to pick it up the next day (same day pick up was offered but I was occupied).
