One star is generous for this place . Thier mission statement is they provide a safe place for the men they provide help to educate and help find jobs and housing etc. all untrue. This is a very unsafe place . On Dec 10,23 a resident there white male brutally stabbed a young black man with a trowel and severely beat up another . These men had to witness this attack blood shooting everywhere as they sit on beds two ft apart scared to move afraid it was going to happene to them there was no staff around to intervene until it was over and police were there. The blood wasn’t cleaned up from floor walls for days and nothing was done to help these men with the trauma they experienced. The best part Catholic charities wanted this to stay quiet so public as well as the big contributors never find out so the money would t be pulled one resident was told that he couldn’t stay because he wrote about the incident online when it was to stay quiet. The men there are s armed to be there as they have no security or staff to keep it safe there There are so many more issues going on there that are swept under the rug but residents are told to keep quiet or leave and they have nowhere to go so they keep quiet this is wrong what kind of people allow this to happen and punish the men for being afraid and opening thier mouth ? I have someone there who is over 60 has health issues and disabled hard time walking doing a lot of things from two strokes . He is on disability and social security but needs help with finding assisted living facility his insurance will take and in area where he can get around with no car the workers there do not help at all which is maddening as that’s why they get paid for each person there . He wants to be out of shelter unlike most that are comfortable there not progressing toward future and they don’t push them to find housing but they do him he’s not a drug addict or criminal never been one or in jail yet the o es who are seem to get help not him it’s ridiculous then the food is minimal and poor quality I have observed many times the men sitting top of hill getting high drinking as well as the Hispanic group bringing alcohol in place it’s not a healthy safe place for someone who is there due to health issues that made him lose home and wants to get help to be independent agsin

They were there when I needed them. Patrick,of staff,stood head and shoulders above the rest in his kindness and compassion. This guy conveys the nature of Catholic Charities origins. Kudos Patrick!

I really appreciate being here. I even did a interview with channel 5 news. But on January 12th I was hit by a car and dragged under it. But I'm going back to work very soon. And I hope they will let me come back. I was in a bad situation and bad people I hope there gone ? thanks to all the staff very kind ? thank you

I sleep in my car and needed a electrical outlet for vacuum my bed sealed so it wont be too much space on car during day and they helped me out without issues! Gods keep them blessed! They helped me out so much with just a simple yes… ???????

Nice place. Good people BUT they have a huge security issue. They let random people in and out of their gates, resulting in people NOT assigned to their bunks sleeping overnight to attack specific residents.

A very balanced place to begin building life again. The staff is quite equipped to help you with your needs with ears and guidance, just enough when given the fair chance. Committed environment and just enough grit of experiences to give you a reality check. People that work with this place have a genuine passion for understanding and helping those in need. There's always room for improvement but staff doesn't shun away your ideas.. definately a place where innovative ideas for helping those in need may be born. Through the pandemic it stood strong to continue their services and maintain functionality for the people. The food has always been great specially on a day of great appetite and volunteers have an enormous gift of giving. HUUUGE ?THANKS volunteers and donors and staff..

They truly provide a great service for those in need especially with positive vibes the whole time helping people improve their lives! on top of that I find myself yet again humbled and they're willing to help me tonight so that I don't have to struggle unnecessarily. God bless this place and all the people that work there and volunteer!
