Amazing place! Their haunted corn maze is the most scary one that I have ever been to. The actors are amazing. They hide in the corners and surprise you with scream and chain saws. Near the end, there was a small maze that we couldn’t find the exit. We asked one actor of how to get out. He guided us to a loop and scared us again. It was so fun. The popcorn is very delicious.

5 dollar for entry and 12 for entry+cup. This year July 31 was the last day for picking but strawberry was very fresh and juicy.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Carlsbad Strawberry Company, it was the perfect place for our family outing. The staff was friendly and accommodating, definitely an unforgettable experience! Whether you're a strawberry enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a unique adventure, this place is an absolute gem.

It has always been a thing for me to pick strawberries from the field. I was so happy to check this off my bucket list!!I ordered elote, and the corn was juicy and sweet with just the right amount of seasoning, played corn hole for the first time, I lost, but can't wait for a rematch next year. I also bought some amazing produce. It was a great day

Bring rain or mud boots! The place you purchase your $12 strawberry picking bucket is nowhere near the berry access gate. Just lots of signs saying "no refunds" and then we get to the actual fields and there's wet mud between every row we ARE allowed to pick from, some fields were closed off. Even if you don't want to pick berries and just want to accompany or chaperone your child, they charge you $5 to enter the fields. Have they always been this money hungry? This is on top of the admission to simply enter the grounds to begin with. Also did visit the bunnies and the sweet pony, Casper. More separate fees for interaction. My daughter was allowed to feed the pony some strawberries we managed to pick. Don't wear shoes you'd rather not ruin!

Fun activity to do with others, and the strawberries are pretty sweet. Prices are somewhat crazy, as you pay $12 to get a small container to put the strawberries you pick in (pictured below). I would say you can only get around a pound of strawberries for the container, which if you don’t mind paying $12 for, go for it. Also, while picking the strawberries, it was somewhat hard to juggle the flimsy container and scissors given to pick the strawberries, and I can’t imagine trying to juggle more than one container (if you wanted more strawberries) and if you had kids to handle. Especially since the rows are somewhat small to walk through. I would’ve preferred a container with a handle, or something more sturdy and sustainable to put strawberries in, maybe a keepsake basket. Overall a fun experience though.

The best strawberries I’ve ever ate. So sweet and delicious. $12 for a bucket you can fill. It’s a little narrow between rows bring a pair of shoes you don’t care about getting dirty

This place is so much fuuun! I came down and brought my little one, he absolutely loved hunting for strawberries. They have a beautiful Sunflower Maze with huge gorgeous flowers all around. As far as the strawberry fields go, there are tons of strawberries to pick. I would advice staying away from the crowds because each row has only so much strawberries to pick and they go fast. Also, buckets are $12 and they're not that big. Over all this place was great, beautiful place to bring the kids or a fun date! Will be coming every year for sure.

A beautiful field of strawberries with a plethora of side shows.Totes itself as a struggling family farm, but the family is somewhere else, maybe on their European vacation or cruising a yacht someplace - this is not the operation of a struggling family farm. The strawberries are tasty. Much cheaper at the store. Charge for everything, even just to walk the field following your kids around.Overall, it’s a fun and enjoyable experience, made annoying by the lack of value on this “struggling family farm.”

A must have experience for people in San Diego or LA. Unique life experience. Surprisingly their farm has very sweet straberries compared to others. We like going every year for this Experience and pick fresh strawberries as our kids like it a lot. There are other activities as well there for kids and nice photo ops.

I had been to this place a few years ago. Originally it started as just a u-pick strawberry farm, but now they have expanded it to have pony rides, bounce house, sunflower maze etc as well.We went a few weeks ago and it seems the best strawberries are all gone or yet to come. The majority of the strawberries that we saw were half ripe or raw. The fully ripe ones were majorly rotten. We were there for about an hour and were hardly able to fill two buckets. The bounce house and pony rides were reasonably priced and the kids enjoyed it more than the strawberry picking. The ladies enjoyed taking pictures in the sunflower fields/maze.Overall a good trip. Will have to time the visit correctly next year to get hands on a better crop.

I didn't come to pick my own berries, just to buy. A half flat was $32. The berries were large and bright red... and bland. I was so bummed. They looked so good! But they were clearly bred for looks rather than flavor. And flavor is really what I'm going for. Juiciness level was already, but bland juice isn't very exciting. They have stands in a couple locations in north county, so you don't have to go all the way up to Carlsbad for a box if you're from down south. And the people are very friendly! So three stars seems fair. But I just really want really delicious strawberries....

PT Barnum. The 1906 world's fair. Charles Ponzi. The Carlsbad strawberry company. All on the short list of the greatest scams of all time. What an absolute cluster. First they charge you $5/head to get in. Get in to what you say? That's unclear. There are some corn hole games but those are unmonitored and uncared for so children stand on them and the bean bags scatter to the wind. You are then, once inside, honored to be able to pay a hefty surcharge to pick your own strawberries. Kind of like if a surgeon allowed you to do your own colonoscopy and then paid him a higher price for it. Truly amazing. Then comes the coup de grace. That which even the boldest country road potion hawker himself wouldn't be able to pull off: $30/hour for the bounce houses. $30 to enter would have been truly laughable but it's for an hour! You could see the look of shock on the faces of those who approached it. I loudly ridiculed the pricing while those around chuckled. It boggles even the most Kafkaesque of propositions: something so preposterous it is almost beyond ridicule. TL;DR - i went to pick strawberries with my son and managed to question the depths of man's folly. Save yourself.

Their website states $5 for general admission for strawberry picking; what it fails to mention is that they charge an additional $5 admission just to get in to buy the $5 admission to the strawberry fields, so admission is $10 total (then you pay extra if you want to pick strawberries). Our group was 4 adults and one child, with just the child picking strawberries. When we got to the second window and they charged us $5 admission for the strawberry fields and we confused explained we just paid a $5 admission the worker was very rude and just responded "the sign explains it"--even though we were still left very confused as to what the first admission got us. We paid $57 for the 4 adults to watch the one kid pick a small container of strawberries. The "bucket" is more the size of a 32 oz container, although this didn't necessarily bother me personally as we were there more for the experience. Positives were that the strawberries are good and the coffee/cotton candy vendor & his kids were great! It also costs extra for the bounce houses ($20 for half hour, $30 for an hour) and the animals. I think their website needs to be more clear on pricing.
