Had a storage unit for 13 years. Had nothing but problems consistently. They never got my payments and would constantly text, email, or call to receive payments. When I would call to inform them that I paid weeks before, no one would ever answer the phone or call me back. They also increase the rent several times a year.

What an exceptionally pleasant Experience I had at self storage! The representative, Karina, at the front desk was delightful! The premises is extremely secure and it is located far enough down on Palomar Oaks, away from Palomar Airport Road. This brings ease in knowing it is hidden treasure on the map.
The move-in was smooth, and I am ever so graciously appreciative of this company, very affordable, too! They are running a promo ~ second month free, whoo hoh! ? two thumbs up ???

Great experience. Office person was very helpful & knowledgeable. Fast, friendly service. The grounds & unit were nice & clean. They have freight elevators & flat carts to load your stuff on & roll in/out. Very unexpected & so useful. I would recommend this place for sure.

I've had a storage unit at Carlsbad airport Self storage at 1910 Palomar Oaks Way in Carlsbad for 2 years.When I moved out I discovered that water had leaked from the roof into the back of the storage unit ruining several items.I filed the claim with Carlsbad airport Self storage and they did nothing about it they didn't file the claim I called the insurance company they said they had never received a claim or they would have immediately reached out to me Carlsbad airport Self storage that I had to pay extra money for the insurance which was included in the original quote it's mandatory to have this insurance and now they try to screw me over by not even filing the claim.I was promised the rate for a certain period of time guaranteed then they raise the rates immediately there is a problem with the elevator which they never fixed they're in the entire two years do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but Carl's bed airport self-storage their customer service sucks they lied into your face they have not filed the claim that I sent to him I did a paperwork perfectly I had pictures and they didn't even turn it into the insurance company they figure in that if they delay delay delay I'll go away well that's not going to happen.There are many more self-storage companies in the area that will treat you right I found a better one and I think you should look elsewhere other than Carlsbad airport Self storage on 1910 Palomar Oaks Way in Carlsbad off of Palomar airport road they are terrible.I dealt with Corinne and Elijah on the claim there and they said no problem we'll take care of this this happens all the time so apparently they have a problem with the roof there and a lot of stuff gets wet and damaged but apparently they think they could just screw everybody over.If you get a storage unit from them and your stuff gets damaged don't blame me I tried to warn you.

Customer beware. This place cost me a lot in time, monetary resources, and massive frustration. Due to inconsistent and conflicting information provided by multiple service agents, my belongings never got moved and have been sitting in my driveway under tarps for several days. Meanwhile, I paid for movers to load and unload my belongings twice, and deal with verbally attacking and unprofessional behavior from their Carlsbad location (Karina). StorAmerica has deceptive marketing with their truck rental, where they don’t disclose time frames upfront on their website, their representatives give varying information, and they bait and switch you once you’re scheduled to move. I escalated my issues to the district manager, and she was very resistant and finally acquiesced to rectify a small portion of the situation - even after I was treated horribly by one of their managers, and incurred monetary losses from their company’s unscrupulous practices. When I asked her where to send in a letter about my complaints, she wouldn’t provide email addresses nor contact information for the higher-ups/owners of the company. This alone shows you that they’re not transparent, ethical, and they’re trying to hide behind their shady practices. If you’re doing a straightforward storage move with no use of their truck, and you want the bare minimum, this place is for you. If you desire to work with ethical people who will be professional, not speak over you, give you legible contracts, and have consistency between what their central phone line representatives state vs their on-site managers state, then go find somewhere else to rent.

Management failed to inform us of truck usage deadlines and forced us to abandon our move in mid-way through. Items not deposited "on time" in the storage locker were left out in the rain following their truck usage return policy
