Originally, my partner and I had a lovely time at the Candle Bar. The scents and options were incredible, and the process was a lot of fun. The girl there was sweet and accommodating as I painstakingly spent over an hour arranging the crystals atop my candle (since it was supposed to be used for my wedding).Unfortunately, she didn't care at all as she shoved the tissue paper down into the warm wax, absolutely destroying the design and burying the crystal I brought from home (given to me by my partner at the beginning of our relationship). I came home and excitedly unwrapped it only to openly sob at the carelessness.An absolute waste of money since I can no longer use this candle for its intended purpose. I'm so sad.It's a great concept, but you may want to go somewhere else to do it... Don't risk the heartbreak.***In response to the owner, I should clarify, I was not exaggerating when I said I spent over an hour positioning each crystal. At this point, I've just decided to burn down this candle, get them out myself, and go somewhere else. The entire experience was a date on our anniversary, exactly 6 months before our wedding. It was very meticulously planned.Perhaps speak to your employees about either letting the wax set or not shoving the tissue paper down into the candles when wrapping them. I just hope this didn't happen to anyone else.

Had a great women's day out at the Candle Bar! Sandra was so 11helpful and nice to everyone, even when it got busy. It takes time from start to finished work, but wax has to harden. There are lots of nice shops to visit while waiting.

Looking for something fun to do in Carlsbad look no further! We had a blast creating our candles with lots of help from Madeline. The other good news is once they are burned down you can refill again with your favorite scents, flowers, or stones.

Its a nice place and nice activity to do, maybe little bit pricey, but over all is nice experience have multiple choices.

This is a great place to go with a group of girlfriends, no matter what age. I took my 10 yr old and her friend and they loved the experience of making their own candles.The girl working there was very friendly and patient with them. The candles turned out so pretty!

Today my boyfriend and I came into the candle bar as part of our one year anniversary celebration and it was such a great experience. There were so many vessels to choose from as well as fragrances. I had so many questions as this was my our first time making a candle and Daisy went above and beyond in customer service. She was so sweet, patient, and answered all of my questions. This was such a great experience for us and I can say Daisy was a part of that. So thank you Daisy for your excellent customer service. We will definitely be back (:

I came in here on Saturday for my birthday with my sister in law and my ever so supportive husband. I have an absolute OBSESSION with candles and have always wanted to do something like this, so when I found out there was this cute little shop close to our home where you can custom make your own candle down to the scent(s), and jar it comes in I had to do it! The two women working while we were there Madeline and Kayla were SO kind and SO helpful with the entire process. I highly recommend this to anyone just looking for something fun to do, especially if you're a candle lover like myself. Also a huge upside, anytime our candle runs out we get to come back and get 50% off our next candle and can choose an entirely new jar and scent(s)! So awesome!

I didn't know it is a big thing to make your own candles in SD; saw so many places have unique candles and this place offers making your own; you can pick from different sizes, scents, filling, topping etc...the combination is endless!The girl who helped us was very nice and patient and explained to us how things work and giving us suggestions. My kid was having a good time making her own candle as a souvenir.
