Terrible costumer service. What I assume was a manager was standing at the checkout very loudly blabbering and literally making groaning sounds about how an employee broke their leg in La Jolla. I exchanged awkward glances with other costumers. It was kind of funny, felt like we walked in on some private convo. But it's getting old since this isn't the first time I've walked in with no greetings, no help. Date : around 1:00 pm Thursday May 9th

I was searching for Sol de Janeiro to smooth my dry cracked hands from repeatedly washing my hands throughout the day. I explained the kind of skin care products and the woman who assisted me picked out a fantastic hand crème. I went with the M-61 Hydraboost and my hands are happy again! I was very surprised with this store. They carry the full perfume line of Lake & Skye which is my absolute favorite!

Great product selection, for somewhat high prices, but staff member treated me as if i was a child. I’m a teenager, and walked into the blue mercury, looking for a new moderately priced serum as i had ran out of mine. I asked her that I was looking for one, but she continuously kept saying oh you already have perfect skin, you probably just want a syrum for light hydration. She kept saying oh you need syrum for your perfect skin? And then would laugh a little bit. It made me incredibly uncomfortable, and why was my skin so good? Iv bebe using skin care since I was 11!! I ended up buying a syrum, and at checkout she said ‘oh you know your mommy’s phone number right?’ WHOLY MOLY!! You would ask a 6 year old that. I would NOT recommend this location. She honestly was trying to convince me not to buy from them?????

I love this store, this particular location, so much!! I continuously experience the best customer service possible from the ladies here. The manager, Kristen, is such a positive and helpful person, and she has made sure that her staff is knowledgeable and trustworthy. And also fun! Both Kristen and Gina go above and beyond to make sure my needs are met. Plus, the selection of top quality brands is unmatched in this area. I highly recommend this location!

Had a terrible experience at this store when attempting to make a large purchase of new foundation, concealer, powder, the works! The associate working called me "love" in a British accent at least 4 times, which was incredible off-putting. What was more off-putting was that she absolutely no help to me at all! Honestly, the concept of this store leaves me baffled. The associates that work there are not trained on the products, but yet you have to wait for them to go to the back to get the merchandise that you want to buy. So it's basically comparable to gong to a drug store where nobody is there to help you out, but at least at Target, you can just grab the product and go, once you've decided!Further, I was told me that I needed to come back and make an appointment with a brand specialist because they are the only ones that can help me. What a complete waste of time! Needless to say, I will never go back!

Terrible customer service . Walked in and wasn't even greeted . Rude blonde was loud and obnoxious & seemed annoyed when I asked for help finding a lipstick. La Jolla has better customer service! Take your business there !

Extremely helpful, welcoming and will make you want to come back. This is the type of place that you wish all beauty supply shops were like. Whatever it is that I need, I go in, state the problem and they are like beauty wizards. Tah dah! They make it appear, and the product that they suggest doesn't break the budget either. Shopping made easy. Two thumbs up and if I had more, I'd put them up too.

It's one thing to have top tier products. Its a whole 'nother ballgame when you pair that with top tier customer service! Gina and the rest of the staff are amazing. Do yourself. Go in and chat with Gina and company. You'll probably walk out with something awesome!

The last time I visited this store was in November 2021. When I arrived, the energy in the store was cold and the girls working didn't even bother to ask if I needed help as I walked in. They were all congregated by the register looking at their phones. As I walked through the store I was approached by an employee named Pamela. Wow!!! She was amazing and immediately turned my perception of the store around. She took her time explaining products and made recommendations about products that would be appropriate for my skin type. I spend a little over $800 that day thanks to her assistance. Today, I returned to the store hoping that Pamela would be there. I was hoping that I wouldn't be met by the same team I had previously experienced. To my complete surprise I was immediately welcomed by Kristen. If you have not experienced her energy yet, I would encourage you to visit her on your best or worst day. Without a doubt she will make your day better. You will walk out of this store with sore cheeks from smiling so much and you will make this one of your "go to"stores. Kristen is a gem!!! She has a beautiful, positive, and uplifting spirit. She is knowledgeable about products and totally thoughtful. She actually made me a chart of when to use what products!!! Who does that??? I wasn't the only one impressed by her character. Other women in the store were experiencing the same positive vibe that I was. I can't imagine anyone sharing space with her and not feeling like you've made a friend for life!!! Little did I know she is the new store manager!!! If I had the knowledge and time I'd apply!!! Her coworker Gina was equally as beautiful. She was clearly happy to work alongside Kristen and they both worked like a "Dream Team". Gina was equally as positive and helpful with other clients in the store. She is a complete sweetheart and does a great job of making you feel like a valued customer. I went in looking for a couple products and walked out buying a whole line of skin care. If you had been avoiding the store because of a previous negative experience, I encourage you to return so that you can give Kristen and Gina a chance to change your beauty seeking experience. I guarantee you won't regret it

This was my 1st facial at Blue Mercury, Encinitas and I absolutely loved it!! I had Esthetician Camilla and it was remarkable how knowledgeable she was. We talked about facial treatment options and reviewed products in the store before my appointment I let her guide me and was truly pleased that she listened and chose applicable products. I enjoyed the process and once situated really relaxed. My skin tone is noticeable more even now and my skin feels refreshed and alive. The micro dermabrasion was my first one and it was so much more gentle than expected. I'm so grateful and will definitely be back for future facials.
