A few years ago, I went to Bergmann's on the recommendation from a dear friend in Carlsbad. I needed my wedding band/ engagement ring repaired. It was a custom set that I designed. The main diamond was from my Mother-in-laws ring...so very sentimental. I used to paint and wallpaper for a living, and never took it off. My bad !!!! The back of the set cracked and split open. I lost a few side stones because of it. Bergmann's made it look like new again. I was ever so grateful !!! The price for all the work done, was very reasonable !!! They are a wonderful Mom and Pop store and are knowledgable, personable and trustworthy. I would not take my jewelry anywhere else. I am not a big Yelp reviewer....I was looking for their phone #. I need to take in a ring for my son. It belonged to his birth father and left to him in his passing. The tiny diamond fell out...and I need to make sure it is repaired correctly. Go there for all your repairs as well as purchases !!!! They totally deserve 5 stars !!!!!

Purchased my wife's engagement ring and our wedding bands here and she couldn't be happier. Extremely high quality stone and unreal craftsmanship went into the custom setting. We were treated like family and did business here even though we live out of state. The best!

My husband bought my engagement and wedding band from the Bergmann's 15 years ago. They are the finest and best kind of people around. I always went back for them to polish and make sure all the prongs on my diamond were in good working order. 15 years later, they are still taking care of the rings they sold us. What a blessing it is to have this kind of high quality customer service available to us in San Diego.

Dropped off pair of earrings over a month again to attach back to some Chanel earrings that they don't make anymore. So get ready to deal with hell and chasing this lady around just to get anyone to speak to you. I mean just call their answering machine still says 2017 and pretty much tells u I don't return phone calls so good luck. Awesome customer service!! So yesterday I drop by to just pick my earrings up bc I can't get anyone to call me back over a month later and of course they re closed Wednesday's lol awesome so I stop by today old lady giving ME attitude lol and then on top of it they were fixed (very shitty) but fixed and she still didn't call me to come get them so idk what the hell she was defending! But she's like 100 years old and I know she's in her ways and of course never wrong lol so good luck dealing with her. Chk out picture. They welded a back to it. wow how trashy this is how u fix jewelry. I'm gonna be embarrassed to wear them Incase anyone sees the botch job and would think they re knock offs now so thanks a lot! I did not beg u to fix them, they're Chanel I don't need to beg people to work with Chanel. so do not speak abt my earrings like it's beneath u with u fake stones comment! Get a life and call people back when u have their belongings bottom line! I called multiple times and ur answering machine does not say you don't call people back it says I will get to u sooner with email. But clearly you feel the need to defend everything, down to the FACT that ur machine still says 2017... fact correct? So ur response is well it's only 6 weeks into the year.. ya.. and?? just proving my point perfectly. But if u returned messages it wouldn't be a problem but when I'm trying to get a hold of you for a month, I start to question maybe I don't have the hours right since ur machine still says 2017.. makes sense now?or u have another defense? Pls do not worry abt me returning.. did u think I would? but if it makes u feel like u had the last word more power to you. thanks for your awesome customer service. I love two sec away hence ur place coming up on google don't give urself too much credit.. there's a jeweler on every corner. I guess my expectations are too high to expect a "my bad I didn't get back to u for a month when you were calling" I had to just finally snap and just come pick them up!! thank God I did bc He only knows when I would have gotten a hold of you. Everything I said was the truth so we'll see if you can utter a sorry I ignored your phn calls and messages I'm too busy dealing with my "fine jewelry" to get to u. I'm still a customer I don't care if I'm buying a 5k ring or a ten dollar fix u treat ppl the same. I have been trained in hospitality so maybe I'm just unreasonable and impossible to please or could be I just would like a phone call abt my favorite earrings that I have been killing myself to get a hold of you since u "understand" so much how ppl can be attached to their items (especially when they can't get ahold of the people that have their things) like u just said. My problem was never the time it took either, it was not returning my numerous phn calls and messages. That's what I'm telling ppl, I didn't say anything abt ur jewelry bc I don't know anything abt that.I'm telling ppl abt dealing with you and how u treated me. YOU still give me attitude when I had to come in just to get my earrings bc I couldn't get a hold of you but maybe you're better when people spend more money. Good luck lady.

This post is in response to Dyana H from oceanside who posted a one star review.... I am writing on behalf of someone who was in the store watching your extremely RUDE behavior and attitude towards not only the owner of Bergman's Fine Jewelry, but the customers who were being taken care of before you walked in. First and foremost, its a FINE jewelry store and knock off cheap Chanel earrings that you consider to be "fine," don't fit the mold of the level of jewelry this local business is accustomed to caring for. People have been supporting this business for over 40 years for a reason and have had the utmost satisfaction the entire time. That is because that woman you called old, also has the experience and knowledge to give to customers when they bring in the true "fine" jewelry. Sorry she isn't in the business of fixing cheap and fake jewelry that required glue. Even though she isn't in that business of dealing with your knock of jewels, she still took the time to try and explain everything to you regarding what you wanted accomplished. She also only charged you $9.50 even though the rhinestones cost her more than that. If that isn't called 5 star customer service, than you are blind! She went above and beyond for custom order rhinestones that took time because it was a special order and circumstance. Also, on another note, did your mother teach you to be THAT rude and disrespectful to elders and others? Next time take your classless act elsewhere!! Learn to be nice and appreciative!
