This location always has the Apple Pay feature disabled. It is incovinenient to try to use the drive thru, and then the outdoor atm, only to have to use the inside. This places a unnecessary hassle on ADA customers. This place never has a line because everyone thinks it’s always closed and everyone uses their parking lot for that same reason at the theater. This place has poorly maintained machines that are always running out of money. Also your atm ate my card…. This place is basically a Russian roulette to getting the service you want. Cutting corners to make more profit. If BofA is truly interested, they’ll assign our reviews case numbers and invite us individually through short urls; instead of sending us copy/paste links to their social website.

I made an appointment and went to organize some things. I dealt with the manager and another employee and they were both nice and helpful. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I definitely appreciate efficiency of the staff.

There is a very clear reason this Bank of America has 1.5 stars on Yelp. Customer service is non existent and branch manager lacks flexibility and any desire to accommodate complex transactions. Bank elsewhere.

I opened a business and personal account and couldn't be happier with my choice! The La Costa Town Center location is nothing but professional and willing to help! High five to all the employees at this location, you all are top notch!

Jorge Valenzuela (market manager of this Bank of America and other neighboring branches) is incompetent at his job and unfit to be the leader here. Bring back the lady before him who knew how to manage a market correctly. Jorge discriminates against anybody working under him that does not speak Spanish. In other words, if you don't speak Spanish, Jorge won't promote you. In addition, he only promotes you if you are constantly kissing his butt. If Jorge feels like anybody in a lower position than him is more well off than him financially, he will treat them badly. I have witnessed the way he poorly treats his employees firsthand. Jorge has attempted to get licenses for years now to try and enter a new role on the investment side of Bank of America but has failed and fallen flat on his face every time. It's pretty obvious he's unintelligent because I've seen people more unintelligent than him get the role he's looking to get. He's not cut out to do anything else and is lucky to still even be in the role he's in. I've been told Jorge strictly relies on the sales performance of the employees at his Encinitas branch to put food on his table and get the promotion he'll never get when he gives his other branches like this one absolutely zero management attention. Many of you customers who have visited his Encinitas financial center since the Covid-19 pandemic started might have noticed that branch had been shut down numerous times. When you asked any bank employee there what happened, the response you might've gotten was the branch closed down to do a deep cleaning. Put the pieces together. Why does anything close down nowadays? Basically, when that branch was closed down there were bank employees who tested positive for the coronavirus and Jorge wanted to hide it from the public. The Encinitas branch was closed down at least 3 times in the past year so what does that mean? At least 3 employees there contracted Covid-19 at least three separate times and Jorge was still hiding it. Jorge sent the order down each time to those reporting to him to ensure word did not get out regarding why that bank was closed. Jorge did not feel it was important to take action and send out phone calls/emails letting customers who visited that center know that an infection had occurred and they might have been exposed. In fact, the first time his Encinitas branch was closed down Jorge knew of the infection and still had the branch remain open on the Monday following the weekend Jorge was made aware of this. Crazy right? That's 8 hours of potential infections to the customers. Imagine having this piece of information kept from you, and you just went home to your high risk family members. Imagine how you would feel if you contracted the virus at Bank of America, infected those around you, and someone you loved potentially lost their life. If you don't see a problem with how Jorge Valenzuela operates as a manager during this pandemic, then there's a problem here too. Oh and I'll throw in another piece of information before I conclude this review. The La Costa Bank of America by the equinox gym which Jorge also manages has had its fair share of Covid infections that have also been kept from customers. On top of that, back when the La Costa branch was open on Saturdays, the manager of that location asked for multiple consecutive Saturdays off with approval from Jorge, so Jorge chose not to even open that branch on those Saturdays. That left Encinitas as the only open branch in that area. So if you ever wondered why Encinitas was the only branch open certain Saturdays when you were trying to do banking near there, you can thank Jorge Valenzuela for letting his La Costa branch employees enjoy some good weekends which sent all customers to the Encinitas branch. Bank of America needs to remove bad market managers starting with Jorge Valenzuela.

This is the worst Bank of America i've ever been to. They just tried to cancel my card because i wanted to take money out of the atm, something i do at least 1x per week. Then, when i went inside looking for help because my card just spontaneously got suspended for the second time in a month, the teller refused to help me because i was a little flustered. Do as little direct interaction with this location as possible. The employees are undertrained & basically incompetent and this location will try to cancel your card for any & every reason. I've never had these problems anywhere else but this Bank of America is a nightmare every single time.

Bank of America is trash. If your thinking about starting an account, don't. These people don't care about their customers. The service and responses are absolutely ridiculous. Try dealing with the phone tree and find out how short your patience is.

This is the worst Bank of America branch I have ever experienced by far. The account services representative told me on multiple occasions that my account now has the requested changes implemented and then I look and there are no changes. Every time I go in, they never help me with what I need help with and instead they keep trying to pitch me on a HELOC which I already have. I would avoid this place like the plague!

It's a smaller bank and somewhat secluded, you'd think it would be a quick in and out bank stop. Think again. I have been here 3 times. 1st time the teller did not want to help me and pushed the ATM with telephone attached. She didn't understand those would be taking her job sooner than later and that I don't support that and wanted her to help me. 2nd and 3rd time I was first in line with people being helped. I have never in my life waited so long for a single customer. First was a business owner doing a deposit and small chatting while the transaction was happening which forced me to wait longer than I should have. Sentence or two here and there while instead of working the teller was talking. Do this 10 times in a singe transaction suddenly it's a 10 minute transaction. 3rd time this woman in front of me was finished with her transaction and then needed one more thing. This happened, and I'm not kidding 4 different times. If you have a customer taking this long at the window tell them to make an appointment. Suddenly there is a line, again not exaggerating, to the door from one woman. Unacceptable

The worst customer service, in addition to being incompetent and rude always! Does management ever read reviews or care??? #

Went in to cash a check and experienced THE WORST customer service. Scowling faces, rude attitudes, and I was the only customer but it took 20 minutes for this simple transaction. They even charged me $8 because I wasn't an account holder. Well, you can bet after this experience that I never will be!

Customer service is terrible! Why don't you just close the branch instead of having a skeleton crew.
