Being on the phone with Bank of America wanted to make me rip my own hair out so I decided to just stop by the branch and thank God I did. Shawn (not sure what his last name was) was so helpful and patient! 10/10 would stop by again.

Amazing customer service. Very friendly and helpful. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to find that the bank was open that late on a Saturday. Everyone greeted me with a smile, and I was able to take care of what I needed to.

The mortgage banker dude that acts like a host at a restaurant HATE him. I tried to be courteous the first time and he did help me the first time but he still did do some negative things. That I just tolerated for the moment. The second time though I had to say something.. Seriously everything I go in there.. he thinks he knows me by calling me a whole different name, the past time he describes a random black dude "AJ" and I asks me; "Do you need help with your EBT card". I just wanted to yell at him like; SERIOUSLY not all black people look the same!! Somebody needs a sensitivity training or at least learn how to work in a corporate environment because I've worked corporate, any no way I could call a Latino Jesus but his name is Albert or something different or if I called a YT Brittany but her name Felicia. If (home loans guy ..see I don't know your but I'm not going to call you some random YT name cause I respect you.. even though you don't respect me) you are not 1000% sure of someone's name (or pronouns) I'd be like.. Hello how can we help you today? Maybe just MAYBE ask for my name. So there's no mistakes made. Plus I don't a single soul who goes TO A BANK for a personal experience nor have I EVER had a EBT card. You asking me everything about the EBT has racist vibes. I know I don't know wear a suit to the bank but c'mon bruh. Why don't you just ask me what do I need help with today?! BE A PROFESSIONAL IF YOU'RE GOING TO WORK IN A PROFESSIONAL SETTING!! Y'all need to get sh*t. I started banking with you cause you were the best option, it appeared you clearly about small businesses, black Americans and I'm know I'm getting whole different vibe. GET IT TOGETHER!!! I would give you a no stars if it were an option after my last experience. Crazy part of this I RARELY ever go inside the bank. So to experience this just heightened it all.

This branch (El Camino Real Carlsbad) is completely devoid of basic business manners! The employees here NEVER answer the phone. Even worse, they, managers included, behave like they HATE their jobs and the customers. The DMV has more cheerful and polite and intelligent employees.Seriously- how is this monolithic bank still in business??? DONE GIVING THEM MY BUSINESS & my money. Closing out accounts TODAY.

The bank and all of the people working here are actually the worst. Bad customer service & a fee for everything.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service! Pre-Covid. I had the unfortunate task of trying to close out my deceased, mothers safe deposit box. I was told by the manager at that time that I had to be present for that drilling, incorrect information! As I was out of state, it was a huge hardship to go down there. Then Covid struck! Fast forward to June 2023. No answer at the branch as usual so I spoke with Bank Of America's estate unit and the Safe Deposit Box unit. The only two units in Bank Of America with outstanding customer service by the way. They advised me that I never had to go in person and explained how to organize the box drilling, and closure from out of state. The bank manager in Carlsbad had my personal information from bothe of these units and was asked to contact me, but she did not bother. On July 13. She had the box drilled, and the contents were to be mailed to the local B of A branch for me. Today July 19, the local branch had the courtesy to call and tell me that the safe deposit box was empty. You would think that the bank manager in Carlsbad would've at least had the courtesy to call and let me know this on the 13th! Clearly, Bank Of America branch managers could care less about people, and considering this whole process took over four years you would think that she would have had one iota of consideration. I will never bank at Bank of America again. I have other choices where the employees are caring, and well-informed, not in competent.

Don't normally review banks. But this is the most unpleasant BOAs I have been to. On top of the long waiting times my bank teller could not even help me with what I needed to accomplish even though bank tellers at other BOA centers were able to do so at other locations. Will not be coming back to this center!

Absolutely the worst banking experience I've ever had. This branch should be shut down and all of the employees fired. I recommend that anybody who has funds deposited with Bank Of America take your money anywhere else. And by all means if you can't, avoid using the El Camino Real branch in Carlsbad, (San Diego) California. Ridiculously long wait time (40 minutes to cash a check) and non existent customer service of such a low level that I'm grateful there was thick glass separating me from the teller. Now for a formal complaint to the district manager. How does a bank as large as BofA even exist. Every time I've had to come here it's been an unbelievable bad experience. After today I had to leave a review to warn everybody. If they don't care about me then they certainly don't care about you.

I disagree with the other posts. I had a very pleasant experience at this branch. My card was stolen. The teller helped not only get a temporary card but took the time to show me how to access it on Apple Pay until my new one arrived In the mail. He even got me with a banker and helped me changed my password. I do agree that the lines can be long, people need to remember that B of A also does the EDD card. And many people are still unemployed from the pandemic. That is why all Bank of Americas have long lines today not just this branch. I think this is a solid branch.

Honestly they just need more tellers. Also, business client but doesn't mean anything when you stand in business line. Just get more tellers. It's a 45 min endeavor everytime.

Horrible wait times. So much is spent getting the customers, but they don't spend on us when we are here.

Canceling my bankMembership with these people. It took me over an hour to speak with a teller on a Saturday afternoon. Multiple 'managers' walking around not helping. Only 2 tellers moving a snails pace. Ridiculous.
