Awesome place to get a Christmas tree. We opted for the Alpine Noble Fir this year and we are so happy with it! Really sets the mood and it is so fragrant compared to our trees in the past from HD. It was awesome to see that the trees were being watered prior to purchase which is not the case from big box store trees that are bunched tightly together. The branches on our tree seem much stronger than others we have had in the past.

Visited Armstrongs yesterday so my girlfriend could browse and refresh her mind. She is going through tough times as her family is in Ukraine. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. It did the trick and got her in a better mindset. She bought some lovely flowers she could plant at home. Thank you to all who helped her.

Good - Vast selection of plants, many of them are hard to find elsewhere.Bad - Bought four plants from two locations (Carlsbad and Anaheim). All 4 plants had bugs and diseases. Bugs end up infecting other plants, and I ended up with all 4 of them dead, a house full of bugs AND many other plants died in the house/yard. Moreover, they would not honor their “exchange” guarantee. Will not return.

If you live in the area, SanDiego, you must shop here for all your nursery needs. They have a huge selection of fruits and vegetables and stater roots.. Their flowers are huge and fourishing. The rose bushes are huge and gorgeous. If I hadn't had to travel six hours home with them, I would have bought at least three of them. They were really beautiful! The parking lot is full of flowers...what a lovely garden center!

I ordered strawberry plants in advance to pick up and arrived before the Flower Fields opened so I could get in and out easily. The place was almost deserted except for a single cashier helping a customer in the outside garden area. I walked in and smiled, but he did not acknowledge me. I saw no signs for where to pick up orders, so I went inside. I said hello and tried to get the attention of the only other visible employee three times, but she did not respond. Finally, I placed myself where she would see me when she turned around. When she saw me and I told her what I was there for, she advised me to go outside and ask the cashier. Who was visible busy and had been for many minutes.I waited at the checkstand for about 10 minutes without acknowledgement from the cashier as he scanned about 30 different plants for the same customer that was there when I arrived. When it was my turn, he rummaged around in the pickup area to find my 4 flats of strawberries, which were not labeled with my name or anyone else's. I had ordered the Eversweet variety, but the ones on the pickup cart were Seascape, which was not available when I placed my order. Luckily, Seascape was actually my first choice of strawberry variety because that was what I got. The cashier had trouble finding the fourth flat until I pointed out that it was on the bottom of the two-tier cart. After mentioning twice that I hoped it wasn't someone else's order and getting a shrug both times, I decided to take them.I explained that I had paid in advance and the cashier seemed confused, so I showed him my confirmation email. It then took three requests to get some butcher paper to protect my trunk from the dirt, although he had simply offered butcher paper to the customer before me.All in all, it was a lackluster experience. It seemed they couldn't be bothered with me or my business, with no greeting at the door, an employee who refused to help me although the other employee was clearly busy, and all with no sense of urgency even though I was actually in a bit of a hurry (which is why I ordered ahead).I would only go back here if I had no other choice.

They seemed to have everything. Plants were in great condition thanks to all the rain. Everything blooming. Just wonderful.

A nice big Armstrong Center as you exit the Flower Fields. This is where you can buy some of the Flower Fields paraphernalia and lady bugs to go in your garden, or with your Ranunculus. Also these flowers don't attract bees, they explain why

Bought a package of five bulbs, jumbo tecolote Ranunculus last April. Planted them as advised November 1 in huge pots. They did not grow very disappointing.

A really awesome selection of anything! Roses, trees, all kinds of plants! Beautiful variety and higher quality selection. All their plants are well cared for! Unlike Home Depot, we're many plants only survive for a few weeks because they aren't cared for!

Not sorry to leave this review for I've reached wits end with a particular invasive employee. There is a shorter blond woman who wears a (straw) hat who's repeatedly behaved and spoken inappropriately towards me. She seems to lack the basic insight to realize she's being bothersome but no manager has done anything about it. Did it occur to you that the person that you're embarassing doesn't share your sentiments? Go away. Let me shop and be undisturbed. As a shopper if you yourself don't like people hassling you if you have an animal (especially a Service Animal) then visit here alone or don't go to this location at all. I've had enough, but I'm also hearing impaired. There's two things you do with customers: act professionally in helping them and you leave them "alone." If soneone freaked out like that over me and not my dog I'd be on the horn with their supervisor ASAP. Not returning to this Carlsbad location ever.
