Their customer service is terrible. I ordered a tilt-in-place manual wheelchair for my mom from this company last year. The chair requires modifications as my mom is not comfortable or positioned correctly. After more than six months with two different ATP’s and dozens of calls and texts, they have still not taken care of the issue. I recommend finding another company that actually supports their products.

Thank you so much for your help! It was short notice, but Spencer was so nice and took his time. I'm very very grateful

Quite possibly the worse medical supply company there is. My sister had enough on her plate when she was referred to them by her home health agency. Instead of entrusting someone that worked for an organization that has since gone out of business we should have done our own homework. We could have simply learned by reading the reviews other patients experienced similar problems.Getting through via phone is still a major problem. “Looking into” the problem 10 months ago evidently got overlooked. I should have stuck to my 3 strike theory. Instead my sister said the customer service rep assured her they would do everything they could for her husband so we trusted her. Big mistake. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and there is no follow up or communication How does a company get all the way to the point of getting a physician order, medical history, insurance info, and schedule an assessment for a fitting and show up to the appointment to learn they don’t accept the patients insurance. That was one of the first questions answered not to mention a copy of insurance was forwarded to them. In the future when sending a professional out for an assessment if there is a problem, as a suggestion the problem should NOT be disclosed or communicated in from of a patient that suffered from Severe TBI. Anxiety frustration and restlessness starts immediately and lasts well pass the time of the professionals departure. Maybe the company should consider training their professionals that go out into the field to be more professional. It’s truly sad that all care comes down to what insurance covers and doesn’t cover. What’s even sadder is having a patient who is bed bound wait the time frame asked of him and then pull the rug out from his feet just to leave him more helpless than before.Lesson learned make sure to read reviews and trust other customers knowledge is power.I do not believe I provided a patient name in my review. AND The chief operating officer did reach out to my sister to “try to make things right”…However she returned his call to offer a second chance for them to redeem themselves but no return call on their part. Evidently protocol is to try to extinguish negative poor reviews but NOT do anything about it. Goes back to “actions speak louder than words”.

My most recent experience with this company was much better. I was kept in the loop, so I understood how the process was going to work. If I had any questions I got a call back in a reasonable amount time by somebody willing to spend the time to clarify anything, which I really appreciate. Thanks Access Medical

Impossible to get through by phone, they don't return calls or respond to emails. I'm having my doctor refer me to someone who actually talks to their potential customers.

Access Medical Wheelchairs is the BEST custom chair supplier in San Diego. They 100% live up to every step as explained on their website. Technician came to our home, did comprehensive evaluation of our custom chair needs. Next, technician and physician did a Zoom meeting to determine final specs for chair. Delivery was flawless. From first phone contact with Access and each step, polite, professional wonderful experience with people we can count on.

The worse company ever !!! I have been waiting for parts for more than 3 months now. Every time I call the company, I get the run around. Employees are so incompetent; they do not return calls and contradict themselves. They demand paperwork to be signed so they can hold you accountable for the charges and when you say NO they turn their back on you. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING. Most Insurances pay for repairs and parts. Stay away from this company. I do not recommend this company for ANYTHING.

They are very very slow and all I needed was a simple wheelchair cushion. I thought i was going to a better company but that has not been the case. they are claiming they just got the "paper" work from the DR but i dont believe it. 3 months to get a new whellchair cushion..... pretty sure you can get one much faster from another company. FYI some people are pretty helpfull but I dont know about other departments within the company.

This is the 2nd time in over 5 years that Blaine and his team have far exceeded expectations in making sure that the electric wheelchair chair my wife needed met all of her needs. I regret that I forgot, in 2017, to provide a proper review for getting my wife "fitted" with just the right chair that met all of her needs. Blaine and his staff have worked tirelessly to advocate for all the various functions which were needed to allow my wife greatest access to the various places where she needs to go. This was true in in both 2017 and now today in 2022. Blaine leads a company that is a model for all the other companies out there, in terms of their customer service and follow through to insure their patients needs are not only met but even exceed what the industry standard may be. We are very greatful that Blaine now has a satellite office in the Imperial Valley through which we received our latest electric wheelchair. We are very blessed to have found Blaine and he has earned our loyalty for any future needs as well.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Access Medical went above and beyond to make sure that my mom received the wheelchair she needs not only for now, but also for many years to come based on the nature of her disability. I was truly amazed at the thorough and thoughtful process. Blaine Hunt is who we worked with and I cannot say enough positive things about him! He is truly a caring and genuine person who takes pride in helping others. Kindness goes a long way and when that is paired with high quality work, you cannot go wrong. Blaine and Access Medical is incomparable!

My opinion- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Or be very, very careful what you sign. Do not sign a waiver of liability if you are planning on being reimbursed through Medicare and if they tell you to pay up front DO NOT DO IT. They have been giving me the run around for approximately a year- sat on my money for approximately a year. Be very careful. Kevin is legit and so is Jana but as a whole this company is not trustworthy in my opinion.

I was not pleased with this company at all whatsoever, instead of listening to me as to what style and accessories. I wanted in a wheelchair they listened to my family and now I'm stuck using a manual wheelchair that I'm not comfortable using at all. Will never recommend this company to anyone

Unfortunately I've done everything I can at this point. Beware of working with this company. They took my money and held it for over a year and made mistake after mistake submitting my claim to Medicare. I definitely will not be working with them again. Casey Trotter is particularly nasty. Definitely will not be working with these people again. They have one or two people who are good in Kevin and Jana but the rest are extremely suspect.
