“Spent three nights with our dog and this place fit our needs perfectly. Walking distance to solid food and coffee options, not loud at night, and had a nice bed and breakfast feel. We had some very small, minor inconveniences come up during the stay and they were addressed promptly and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were good! Highly recommend and would stay there again if we ever visit Oceanside.”

A beautiful view of the garden from our Laguna room, peaceful, quiet, wonderful roof top patio, gorgeous flowers everywhere, loved the comfortable bed, the relaxing fireplace was most enjoyable and the very easy check in and out, so much better than a big busy crowded hotel. I wish we could come back much sooner.”

“We just had a great 4-Day stay at this lovely hotel. Hotel, room, and surroundings very nice, clean, and well kept. Parking was easy and convenient. Loved the restaurant next door! The location was just perfect as we wanted to visit all the beachside towns between Oceanside and Del Mar which we did. The bed was very comfortable and loved the large walk-in shower. I do wish our room would have had a small table with two chairs (small dining set) to sit at but otherwise, our overall experience was great!”

“My wife and I are in our 50's. We travel a lot. We both grew up at the So-Cal beaches and now live 2 hours inland. One of our favorite things to do to get away, is stay near the beach a few times per year to enjoy the perfect moist weather, the relaxing sound of waves, and a little bit of night life in terms of restaurants and shops.
We found Beach Terrace on the internet and decided to give it a try. We travel a lot and I admit that I am picky since I have been in the service business for over 35 years. I can tell the difference between a place where the management see customers as dollar signs or people with expectations. I am the latter.
Let me tell you! This place is awesome! They have thought of every detail. Clean, large, comfortable rooms with THE BEST views anywhere if you want to hear and stare at the ocean.
Beach service with chairs and umbrellas brought to you. A pool deck area with lounge chairs, 4 fire pits, 85 degree water, showers and again THE VIEW! Bicycles, Board games available, Boogie Boards etc.
We ordered pillows off the pillow menu and they were awesome. Fast professional service.
Walking distance to many many great restaurants and shops.
My wife and I are hooked. Park your car for a few days and really enjoy a clean place in a clean beautiful small beach town. We'll be back for sure!”
“Very quaint motel! Our particular family-style suite had a partial view of the ocean, and was conveniently located near lots of spots where we could walk to for breakfast or lunch! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!
Rooms: We booked a family suite that had one bedroom with a queen bed and full kitchenette and bathroom, and an adjoining door that led to a second bedroom that had two full beds! Perfect for me and my two boys in their 20s!
Walkability: There were several cute breakfast and lunch spots that were easily walkable from the motel. I will definitely stay there again!”

“I loved staying here. Charming rooms. They look just like the pictures. Easy walkability to many restaurants and bars. Short drive to LA Jolla or Carlsbad. About half an hour to the zoo, safari park, mission beach. It's an adult oriented neighborhood. I didn't see a single child, which is a good thing for here. There is nothing for children to do.
The bad reviews have to be from people with weird expectations. This property was built in 1920. That's part of the charm. It's a small, privately owned hotel, so it won't have all the fancy amenities of a giant chain.
The rooms are charming. Very clean. It's an old building so some small defects (loose tile, small showers) are to be expected. But again, that's part of the charm. The road outside is pretty busy from about 6 am to 6 pm, then quiets down a lot. I slept with my windows open. Some sound from neighboring rooms comes through everyone's open windows, but none through walls. I'm an early bird, but if you're a late riser and light sleeper, you may have to shut the windows after 6 am. Garbage trucks, traffic, the normal stuff. There is also a train that goes by, but I stayed a week and only heard it honk it's horn once.
I hate to even post a review because I don't want everyone knowing about this place. But I couldn't resist.”

“Stayed this weekend for legoland, everything was perfect, this hotel was amazing, Great quiet location with a starbucks, sushi, gas station In side the plaza. Our room was clean, staff was very helpful, every morning there was warm delightful breakfast with staff cleaning every minute making sure everything ran smoothly & lady was very attentive. Young gentleman always making sure everything was in order. Very happy with this place. Will definitely be booking again!”

“I can't say enough good things about the hotel. I had an issue with my room and Sabrina at the front desk was amazing. The managers Stephanie and Rebecca were outstanding. I've never seen a response like this. The staff are always smiling and the front desk greets you coming or going. The location is primo!! The spa is great! The property is spotless. “We had a spacious room with 2 queen beds.The place was clean, the housekeeping was golden! super kind ✨?The breakfast was modest. Not that many meat options, in fact I believe there was only one, it wasn't bacon.There were a couple of bread choices and you can make your own waffle, but I didn't get one because there was a slight queue for it specifically. Fresh fruits were available. There was banana, apple, orange, and mandarin.”

“We loved our stay at the legoland hotel. location was super convenient, lots of hidden surprises around the hotel. The elevators were also a surprise and great every time. The restaurants required a reservation, but I booked breakfast everyday the first day we arrived so there wasnt an issue there. We tried both the bricks and castle restaurants for dinner both were good. Everywhere is a dance party, and the staff did events every night from bingo to dancing to story telling. It was a wonderful experience for both adults and kids alike. We ended up using valet parking because it was easy. All the models throughout the hotel were amazing. The pirate ship play area was perfect to spend time in before the park opened. Our kids completed the scavenger hunt the very first night and the pool is heated! but only open till 7.”

“Cute hotel just blocks from the beach. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. They even brought us muffins and juice in the morning. The only drawback for us was no coffee machine in the room, but they have a fancy coffee machine in the lobby.
Walkability: Just a couple of blocks from Seaside Market and Starbucks coffee. Great breakfast place right across the street. A couple of blocks to the beach. A great walking trail (rail trail) about two blocks away. Close to everything you need in Cardiff.”
