One of the best surf shops left around! They listen and provide high-quality customized Long-boards to Short-boards. After 45 years of buying boards, they are the best in S.D. County in my humble opinion.

Recent coastal trip, watching clean lines. Local told me about Cardiff SC, just across the tracks. Dropped in & rented from Jeff & Jay. Large tall wettie & Jeff's shaped 9'6 was perfect after being land locked for 10months. Great local, honest & earthy people - highly recommended ?

Guy "suggested" to me when I was shopping there that I should grab an Xcel cap. Bought it and hated it. Couldn't get the water out of my ear while paddling out. Went to take it back and they said no returns. Receipt says I can bring it back within 60 days for full refund (see photo of receipt). He said nope, once something touches the water we don't take it back. Hansens is a much better choice. Staff is super cool, knowledgeable, and they have a much better return policy. UPDATE: - scan the QR code it's your store.

Did you know they do ding repair? They do! Fast turn around and reasonable pricing. Here's the thing.... It's not a repair, my board looks brand new!!! Unbelievable job. Jay is also an amazing guy -- top notch service and will provide all the advice one would ever want to know about surfing. Keep it up!!

So Stoked that they changed their name to Cardiff Surf Co, much more inviting and family-oriented. Love that the owners are long-time locals and a true mom & pop establishment. I've seen the struggles they have gone through with ongoing construction that affected their parking and Buisness. Then immediately after that a global pandemic. It's a miracle they are still around. Don't hesitate to shop local and support this great little gem in Cardiff. Jay and his staff are always knowledgeable and willing to help out in any way possible.

The staff are being helpful. I have so much respect for these people. They go out of their way to help and guide the customer. Seeing how awful some of these surf shops treat customers, these people are true gems!

Iron Cross is hands-down one of the most legit local surf shops around. Geoff and Jay are salt of the earth great people.They also sell a variety of boards, surf accessories and apparel in addition to some used boards. Definitely support these guys!
