“This review is solely for the customer service for the quaint and dainty shop by the beach. My group of friends and I came into the store to browse around and nearly all of us found something that we wanted to take home! The lady that ran the store was extremely kind, patient, and friendly. It is so important to be nice to others, and this lady went above and beyond for me and my friends. We felt welcomed and encouraged to shop around, which speaks so well. I took home two cute tops that were each in the $20-$25 range before tax. Only thing is that I wish she had more options, the clothes are cute!”

“Sea Level is a charming shop full of very wearable, well made t-shirts as souvenirs or gifts with Capitola memories. Wide selection of women short sleeve, tanks, long sleeve, sweatshirts, hats & PJs. Men’s t-shirts are all on the wall & there’s a well stocked inventory so there’s several to chose from. There’s also a sales rack and children’s section too. Owner Stacy Branson is very personable and kind, she can help assist with ideas for the whole family. They offer nice gift bags that make it easy to bring back home. I bought the “turtley awesome” PJ pants for my daughter and the funny “Unleash the Kracken” for my sailor friend who loves everything nautical. You’ll have great wearable souvenirs that will remind you of Capitola Beach and the Village!”

“Been wearing vans pretty much exclusively for the last 15 years. They had this pair that caught my eye instantly but only had in a size up or down. They tried to order but decided to go home and find a cheaper pair. (Tilly's had it 30% off but wrong color). Plan on checking back tomorrow finger crossed.”

“This is a great Kohls neat store with great staff! Now the new Sephora make up center is a different story! We went to get make up for a wedding and the girl working was not helpful at all and eveything we wanted to buy was out of stock How can this be at a new store? This store will not last with horrible rude customer service! Our wedding party went next door to Ulta and had wonderful friendly service and between us ladies we spent over $600 and we're so pleased with the help we received. Sephora girl need more training and an attitude change perhaps a secret shopper could help with these issues. We will not be back to Sephora sadly!!”

“My 5 star Yelp review is primarily for the outstanding inventory. As many years as I have been coming to Gayle's Bakery in Capitola, Pacific Trading Company has been next door. Talk about a great location for them! Gayle's is like one of the busiest businesses in Santa Cruz County, so yes, potential customers are plentiful. When the time factor is right, I do enjoy popping in and doing a walk through. This is a hip and trendy shop full of cool items. Classy and quality cool stuff. Expensive cool stuff:) Clothing, jewelry, accessories, and shoes. I have to really love it to make a purchase. Today, I really loved two particular hoodies and bought them immediately. It was just cold enough in Capitola to justify these cute little numbers! Photos included. And btw...it is fall with winter not far behind. Service has always been luke warm. Nothing memorable. Unfortunately, I feel a walking on eggshells type of atmosphere during my many visits. Not sure what's up with that. (I know the return policy is pretty strict.) But today, a young woman, Isabel, greeted me immediately and came over to assist. I really appreciated that! She was helpful with her advice on which size to purchase. Thanks, Isabel. All in all, this is not a large store, but it is organized and packed with great stuff. There are always a few racks of sale items...so there is that. Next time you are in the hood, take a peek! I know you, too, will find something you just can not live without. Yeah!”

“Fairly big selection of Men's and Women's clothes and shoes, of all sizes, house-wares, Kitchen-wares and appliances, smaller furniture, electronics, jewelry, perfume/cologne and Snacks and candy, kids toys and a bunch of other random stuff. It's all pretty good quality, name brand stuff (for the most part). The employees are kinda hit and miss, some being very helpful and some the total opposite, acting like you just ruined their day by asking them questions or for help in any way. They have clothing changing rooms and a public bathroom and are very accommodating when it comes to exchanges or even just giving you store credit for your return if you don't have or lost the receipt for some reason.It is a store best suited for people on a moderate to lower budget and for the quality of most products (which is good to really good in my opinion. I would absolutely recommend anyone shop there, but don't get discouraged if you do get dealt a subpar customer service experience, because that is rarety, not the norm. Good store. Check it out ?”

“Today I went to Macy's located on 41st Avenue in Santa Cruz & I was helped by Jenny at the Estee Lauder counter. Jenny was so helpful, kind & a pleasure to work with. She told me that I qualified for the reserve cosmetics but I had to wait for 11 more days. She noticed that I wasn't a reward member so she signed me up so quickly. She also helped me choose my cosmetics that I qualified for & she even gave me samples of what I had came to purchase but had to wait. I love Macy's, Estée Lauder cosmetics & perfumes & when you deal with such a pleasurable person, it brings that much more value to the store & brand.”
