I come to Capitola during the summer a few times a month. And every time I come during the store hours they are NEVER open. I've emailed on the site no response. I've tried social media nothing. I hate leaving a bad review but this is ridiculous. Because my bf and I are trying to beat the crazy heat wave came to Capitola, first thing after parking was checking the shop to see if it was open guess what it wasn't.

Charming and inviting, Village Sea Glass is full of timeless sea glass art created and offered by a friendly shop owner. Always the first stop whenever in Capitola Village . . . or the reason to make a stop in the Village!UPDATE: I posted this review when the original owner of Village Seaglass, Polly, owned the shop. Since a new owner, Eileen took over, I visited once to inquire about my AnneStandz continuing to be sold at Village Sea Glass. I was so shocked by Eileen’s rudeness I will not return to shop. There is no longer the warmth and inviting charm of former owner, Polly. This shop now looks and feels like a discount warehouse of too many schmaltzy trinkets made by the new owner overpowering beautiful pieces by true artisans and artists it reminded me of a Claire’s ear piercing store. Just horrible...and sad.

Beautiful glass art jewelry and crafts. Just browsing and then saw some rings at the counter. Ended up buying a cool spoon ring! Reasonable price too. I have one from years ago that doesn't fit anymore so was excited to find a new one! My daughter got a new toe ring with a sun and moon for $15. Fits perfectly.

Beautiful shop with local artist work. Great display of sea glass and other gorgeous display of art, plates, wind chimes, candles and cards. The customer service was outstanding and the shop was very organized and well priced. This is the place to come when you are in the Capitola Village if you are looking for a special gift for someone and your sea glass needs.

Can't believe how rude the gal clerking in this store is. I asked a question she responded with such a superior air that I apologized for asking the question. She then called me extremely defensive. Even if that is your thought don't say it out loud. She blew a sale. Don't shop here.

So happy with my experience here!!! My family and I spent three weeks throughout Calabria, Italy and my daughters spent their days collecting sea glass from the various beaches we stayed at. As a way to memorialize our wonderful trip, I wanted to create something special from the sea glass that was collected. I found Village Sea Glass while visiting my apartment in the Capitola Village and was awed by the selection of jewelry they had. I brought my bag of sea glass and immediately Polly knew exactly what I wanted! Within three weeks, I had a number of jewelry pieces made from the glass that my daughters collected. Just see the pictures! We are beyond happy with everything!!!

This shop has the sweetest little gifts of nature with sea glass, sterling silver jewelry, photography of sea glass, and Driftwood sea glass art. Things are reasonably priced and very beautiful. A great place for gifts and stocking stuffers.
