Every time I visit family in California, I persuade them to drive down the coast with the side-quest of getting shampoo bars at Ethos. The Notice Hair Co shampoo and conditioner bars are amazing, leaving hair squeaky clean, soft, and smooth. Now that we live on the East Coast, the carbon-neutral shipping has kept us stocked up. Thank you for introducing us to these fabulous products!

Lovely store, but when I checked out today they prompted me for an “optional tip” on the screen.
No, I do not want to tip on my purchase of a $40 stainless steel lunchbox and a tiny $30 jar of face lotion lol. Tipping is not a thing in retail stores, stop.

Updated response to owner: At a shoe store, the employees help you try on shoes. They don't prompt for tips at shoe stores. At a grocery store, an employee might help you find and fill containers from bulk bins. They don't prompt for tips at grocery stores. At a clothing store, the employees go in the back and dig around in boxes and piles for different sizes and colors, hand deliver them to the dressing room, and put other options back out onto the floor for you. They don't prompt for tips at clothing stores. N-o-b-o-d-y wants to tip at retail stores. Tipping should not be a thing at retail stores. Stop. And if you think employees deserve tips for filling jars, then you should have your employees themselves skip the tip screen for straight retail transactions like mine.

Love that I have a store dedicated to zero-waste. There are so many options that it becomes easy to kick plastic to the curve. It is a little expensive but it’s worth it for me.

Discovered Ethos during the Sip & Stroll event in Capitola with friends. What a fabulous find! Love the sustainable products & such a wonderful place to find birthday, thank you or housewarming gifts for everyone in your life. The staff were super helpful and friendly too.

They have some really great sustainable products. They are also now accepting tips on all purchases, which has officially turned me into a thousand year old Karen. I think I'll just make my own dish powder from now on

Fantastic shop helps you lead a more sustainable lifestyle. The mint watermelon toothpaste tablets and bar shampoo draws me this store. They have wonderful skin and body products. I wish there was a shop in San Jose.

Love this shop! Friendly crew, and the shop has a bunch of different things from beauty products to household products. Would highly recommend! Love the area it’s located, and can’t wait for them to open in DT Los Gatos.
