Cutely decorated friendly place.
They used to be a lot better. Last visit: a lot of very worn out clothes, prices are more expensive than I remember, and stained pants.
On the flipside, they are producing more new items in their own personal collections. Hats, hoodies, jewelry etc. All very cute. Maybe this is where they should be heading.
For the price they are charging for used items: $26 for a velour dress, $15 for pants, $10 for a top, you can find better brands and better condition at a Goodwill boutique.

I was in town for a visit and this store came highly recommended. Now I am highly recommending it. If you’re there, it’s a must! The first time I went in I bought a few things for myself. Great second hand store with great prices and selection! I even went back for seconds. I’m sure glad I did because Allison was working and she’s absolutely fabulous! I felt like I made a quick friend!
Where can you find a shop that you definitely leave with purchases and make friends? This one right here?

I have bought a lot of items from this spot over the years (jeans, pants, dresses, tops, sweaters, etc.) Selection is great; prices are great - there's always something new to tempt you. Have never sold here but thinking of trying it out. Definitely worth a visit for anyone in Capitola.

My favorite store in SC County fer sure! The clothes they accept are trending, in great condition and frankly hip as hell. And they are intermixed with cool new items like bras, hats, jewelry, bags, beach blankets, and so much more! I was in Monterey and was at a busy thrift shop. Overheard the staff talking about how excited they were to be taking a 'field trip' to check out "the best shop in Santa Cruz: The Closet Shopper. I butted into their conversation to tell them "it's true!" They were in for a fun field trip. This store is NOT to be missed if you are visiting from out to town and should be visited regularly if you are local.

The staff at this store need a refresher in customer service. Or at least recognizing people when they walk in your store. Went a few days ago, and not once did they greet or recognize we were there. The two ladies in the front were too busy gossiping over someone who just recently went and was trying to sell some clothes. So, If you want to be talked about by the clothes you're trying to sell, then this is the place to go!! So sad. Learn some decency and respect those who are even trying to give you business. Won't be coming here again.

Lots of jewelery that I fell in love with. Fun knick knacks. Didn't look at clothing much --- had to run.

Best store to buy clothes at. You can get something a little older and style You can get newer style. Pretty much everything! It is a great gift store as well!

I love this place. I go here all the time, and my favorite jacket is from the Closet Shopper. This place is an absolute gem. It is a bit pricier than your average “thrift store” but it is more high end and you pay that extra bit for the beautifully organized clothes and goods the owners have to offer.

I agree with the previous reviews. I have sold here a few times and they don't buy much and didn't want any of my expensive designer stuff. Diesel jeans that retail for $250-350, Coach clog sandals in pristine shape, and very unique/rare. Or my All Saints shoes. Most of the stuff sold there seems like Forever 21, Target brand. Not sure what they are going for when buying, it may be time to re-evaluate their (potential) customer base??
