New Leaf Community Markets has been a fixture in Central Coast communities for over 30 years, starting as a small cooperative in 1985 and now operating 5 community-hub grocery stores. Staying true to its progressive roots and good-for-the-community ethos, New Leaf is committed to providing sustainable, locally produced natural and organic food. Customers can find a wide variety of California-grown produce, meat, and seafood, much of it sourced from within 100 miles of the stores. The stores feature a deli, butchers counter, salad and hot food bars, and an olive stand, catering to diverse dietary needs with ample vegan and vegetarian options. Shoppers praise the high-quality, flavorful offerings, from the BLAT sandwich with crispy tempeh bacon to the fresh and tasty Thai cabbage peanut salad. While the prices at New Leaf may be on the higher end, customers are willing to pay for the quality and commitment to sustainability. With a focus on nourishing both the community and the environment, New Leaf continues to be a beloved grocery destination on the Central Coast.
Produce is good, other groceries are fine I guess, although staples are much cheaper elsewhere. Enjoy the neighborhood coupons.
New location's layout is abysmal -- especially the produce section crowding the checkout and how much of the store is dedicated to food bars.

The new store is wonderful, but i received a call regarding the drawing that was held when you first opened, i was in the shower, so my grandchild answered, a lady said we won a drawing prize and to come by, when i stopped in, nobody knew anything about it. 😊

The vegan BLAT Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato sandwich is a great lunch option, brought it with me to work on a day that I didn't bring food from home. The tempeh bacon was nice and crispy and savory. Also, tried the Thai cabbage peanut salad which was very fresh and flavorful.
