So from shampoo blow dry style ? Now I'm waiting for POLICE. I called for a simple task and they schedule me for 2pm Then ask to come for 2:30 , Which wasn't convenient. When I got there , he asked me question how I'd like my hair. I said blow dry with a round brush and clip in extension . He looked at me like I asked for the moon... said he doesn't work with clip ins. I said ok , I'll do it myself , can we do the shampoo blow dry curl ? " no , I'm sorry , I'm not going to work on you hair , I'm going to ask you leave " Excuse what? I'm on my 2 hrs lunch break , had to wait 30 min cause he was late then tell me I need to leave because he has no skills. I can understand he got vexed when I asked him " if you aren't using round brush when you blow dry then that do you use , isn't it a hair salon ?" He left , I asked the other ladies who was the manager , they said he was the OWNER? Well mister owner that can't blow dry with a round brush ? In my 40 years of life, never have I met a hair dresser yet a owner that didn't know how to work on hair. It wasn't anything complicated. He came back from the back room and pushed me out of the salon . Thankfully I captured it on video and showed the police that reminded Pablo that putting his hand on client is liability. The police even said sorry on his behalf. I will make sure the ALL WORLD can watch how I was treated there and uploaded the video on you tube and all my SM platform. I do have an accent so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the poor treatment I received . I hate to write such a poor review but this was extremely humiliating. I had to pay the price of him having no skills with a complete humiliation and bullying from him and one of his employee that kept poking me with the brush asking me to leave. I have - it - all - on - film I'm a podcaster from Paris visiting Santa Cruz and needed to get my hair done for a live podcast. Pablo could of truly mess my all day up but thankfully scott at the mall was the absolute hero , incredible vibe and impeccable skills. That you can't do hair is one thing That you get vexed and ask the client to leave is another . Round brush = volume and folded ends What is it that I asked that was over the top? If someone is having a bad day, the best is to go blow up some steam on a punching bag I'm a client not a peasant. I will write BBB as well and make sure they get notified. I hate to think this was discrimination ... but I also hate to think a hair dresser can't do a blow dry Hope this review helps It's way better / classier / higher end salon in Amaya cruz Scott: you are my hero ! I looked awesome for my podcast. You saved the situation. Thank you for that. Pablo , maybe time to retire.

I had a great experience with Danielle earlier this month. I was low on time and needed my hair cut by Friday but I wasn't finding anyone available. However; Danielle was fantastic enough to fit me in before closing (we even went quite a bit past!) so I could have it done in time! My hair had become too grown out so I wanted to get a wolf cut (**** mullet hybrid) but I was slightly anxious getting it cut too short. Luckily, Danielle was able to work with me finding a length that I was comfortable with and looked fantastic! No joke - this was the hairstyle I had been looking for my whole life! I am not too experienced with hair care but Danielle was happy to teach me the best way to style my hair which has been so helpful! I've received so many compliments on my hair that I couldn't recommend Danielle enough!

I have been going to Kepari for over 20 years. Staci Has been cutting my hair during that time. She does an excellent job. In fact I get comments often on my hair cut. From my observations the other hair dressers also do a great job. I highly recommend Kepare. It's very professional.

I have been coming to Kepare for over 20 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else in Santa Cruz to get my hair cut. I started with Pablo and when he moved away for a while I was referred to Donna. They are both top-notch professionals and lots of fun to chat with too! I have received lots of compliments on my hair thanks to both of them. I don't do hair color but all the stylists seem to be very expert in that area too. Many of the other stylists have also been at Kepare 20+ years, and I found the place originally by asking for a referral from a hair salon products creator/inventor (Nicolas Hair Care) through my old stylist in Santa Fe. This salon also happens to be a warm, fun community. A shout out to Meredith at reception who is a sweetheart of the first order!

I wanted a trim and some added layers to my curly hair was well as highlights- I left with frizzy, sticky hair, uneven layers, and a weird u-shaped balayage all over my head. I went to a woman, I think her name was Danielle but may have been another hairstylist, excited because it was a spontaneous idea (treat my self !) and she said she was a curly hair specialist. The color: We discussed my options because of a previous copper color in my hair and how it's super grown out. She sounded like she knew what she's doing but honestly other than some more copper blended up by my face (the money pieces she described) it's literally the same as I came in. She even left dye residue on my face and I noticed once I got in the car. She charged me 175 for the worst dye job. The cut and style: she cut off so much hair. She cut these "layers" in big chunks and my previously thick curly spirals were thinned out. You can see how random these pieces of "layers" are and how uneven it is wet or dry. FYI she cut my hair dry first, then did the dye job, washed it, and then cut it wet, styled it, and cut it some more?? The styling was AWFUL. What was frustrating was the idea that she was a curly hair stylist that continuously kept adding product on product, diffusing erratically, and when I was obviously not happy with the frizzy poof she left me in she said " oh sorry I must've really put more volume than you like". I don't even know what she put in my hair but it left my hair sticky and dry and struggled to come out even with clarifying shampoo. That whole mess was like $30 I even tipped but honestly shouldn't have. The total for this entire situation was $230. I don't want to come back to fix this mess I have been looking for a place to fix my hair before my graduation on Saturday. I hate that I wasted money just to have to pay more to fix it and hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I just had the pleasure of having Danielle do my hair after two years of shoddy pandemic hair care. I have curly hair, and it really matters that someone know what they are doing with it....Danielle was amazing! She was so quietly confidant about her skills, her cut and color was spot on and I left feeling like a million bucks. I highly recommend her, if you need a discerning eye and years of experience to give you the confidence that you are in great hands, she is the one. She also has a bright, delightful personality, which is a great bonus!

Your stylist would not let me speak, show her my previous photos of my hair and was extremely punitive towards me. I was upset by her ! I did not "arrive that way" as she told you and her apology was to herself while she mumbled under her breathe thst she'd never...?? Wasn't sure what she said but I was in tears why did she choose to blame me for her rude behavior towards me. She raised her voice at me and her apology was made I guess After I paid her and tipped her my usual 25% and left and bought product from her. I was in shock tried to forget it happened but when I saw an add some month's latter I decided to leave a comment. Every part of my response was attacked ("she leaves a comments months later"). Possibly some people hope the experience will just be forgotten but every bit of Pablo & the stylist's comeback was aimed at my character and even "diagnosed me". Not ok. You've just added insult to injury. You obviously can't hear anything even a bit unflattering. Why would publicly say that about a former customer? And I had been a client, I saw Katie 2 or 3 times. She's s sweetheart and did a great job!

I visited Danielle (Tomaz) last week for a cut and highlights. I was a first timer my regular stylist broke her arm. Danielle is very personable and anxious to help you out with knowing tips and tricks for the best colored hair. I LOVED her haircut! She actually captured my vision. I must confess the color was "off" for me. Too silver, grey, lilac. I prefer a honey/champagne color for my skin tone. Not ready to be a "blue hair!". Fortunately, Danielle was more than accommodating to switch out the color. The following week, she corrected the color and I am so happy. No charge too! Really appreciate her customer service and professional skills. Not to mention she is so likeable and very "up" on the hair industry and best ways to care for my hair. Very educated. Will definitely return for my next haircut.
