Excellent store with knowledgeable owners and best sell prices I could find in the South Bay. I shopped around most of San Jose before heading down here - honestly I won’t waste my time anywhere else on my next sale.

This is a gem of a coin shop and I was blown away by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Ted is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and honest. This is an excellent coin shop! I checked all the coin and bullion dealers around the entire central coast and Bay Area. The owners, Kirk and Ted are great guys. They are extremely trustworthy and honest. They offered me better prices than any other shop and they were very easy to transact with. This is the only coin ad bullion shop I’ll work with in the future.

They were very responsive to my e-mail inquiry and genuinely interested my business. It was very easy to sell to this shop. Their buying price was very close if not better than the online buyers. My payment was ready the next day, and it saved a lot of grief trying to sell it online. Will definitely return!

I've just recently had several interactions with C.B.C.E.....all were more than satisfactory and pleasant.Both Kirk and Ted are knowledgeable, attentive and in the moment with their customers/me....even without a confirmed purchase for them to realize, they continued to correspond with sincerity......I'm not used to this type of connection, yet I very much welcome it.Without going in to detail, they had committed to me for my purchase at an agreed amount. Another was willing to pay a significant amount more for the item......they were high in integrity to keep their word to sell the item at the agreed upon cost.....very cool.My recent involvements may have been the most simple, calm and enjoyable experience with "both buy and sell" with Central Bay Coin Exchange.

This was a great place to start stacking. The two guys who run the shop are friendly and honest. Very low pressure sales. Browsing is totally okay. I recommend checking them out.

I came here with my husband after doing some research of different coin shops in San Jose down to Carmel. I wanted to surprise him and take him to a few of the places for him to shop and look around. This was our first stop and the 2 gentlemen were very kind and helpful as he looked. We then proceeded to go to San Jose to at least 5 places. Some with ok reviews and others with great reviews. We had a horrible experience at each of the shops in San Jose. Rude owners, small selections but even more was that they had nothing to show us. Most were saying that they only purchased now and didn't sell at their shop anymore despite what the reviews and websites said. Needless to say I was very upset because I wanted to have a great day and let him shop around. The day didn't end on a bad note though. We came back to this shop in Capitola and the gentlemen remembered us from that morning. They talked with my husband and everything of course went over my head but it was such a pleasant experience that I will for sure be back to purchase more items for him. I felt welcomed, they didn't make me feel intimidated or stupid for not knowing anything about coins. You will not be disappointed by coming here. Don't waste your time going anywhere else.
