My wife drives a 2016 X3 which spent the first few years of its life serviced at a BMW shop. After the extended maintenance plan expired it was time to look for an independent shop. I found Mark here on Yelp. I regret not switching to Mark right away after the original maintenance plan expired. At 112k miles, it has its share of wear and tear, but overall it still runs great thanks to House of Bmrs.

I have owned my BMW since it was new - 2002. I have always taken care of it. When I moved to Santa Clarita 5 years ago I looked for a BMW mechanic without going to a dealership. A friend recommended Mark at House of BMRS. Great choice! Mark always makes time to help me with small or larger repairs. His prices are fair and the work is excellent. I can tell his other customers are happy and he seems to have long standing relationships with most of them. I totally trust Mark to diagnose and fix whatever is needed to keep my BMW in great shape. Thank you Mark!

I will never go back to this place again. I asked Mark for the price of a tune-up and new brakes, and he told me that he would assess my car, then call me in an hour or two to give an estimate. Instead, three hours passed and he didn’t call, so I called to find out the status of my car. He told me that the car was ready for pick-up and that it didn’t need brakes for several months, so I head over to pick-up the car. When I get there, he hands me a bill for $365.00 and tells me that he did an oil change and he performed a software update, neither of which I asked for, nor authorized. I have no way of verifying whether he performed an update or not, nor whether or not he changed the oil, which I did NOT ask for or request. I stood in shock for a moment, and was going to lay into him, as I’m a trained lawyer, then I just sighed and left the facility. I get tired of arguing with unsavory people as they are everywhere in this day and age. He also handed me an assessment of over $2500.00 worth of tune-up items for me to have him perform in the near future, after he performed unauthorized services already. I can go to the BMW dealer and get a full tune-up for $549 for my nine year old car. I looked at him incredulously for a minute, sighed, then simply walked out of the shop knowing that I’ll never go there again. $365.00 lesson learned. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I had my car towed to House of BMRs due to it needing the starter replaced. I was told by Mark, the owner, that it would cost $750 for the starter and when I seemed shocked it was that much he assured me that this was a brand new OEM starter plus there of course was the cost of labor. I normally take my car to a mechanic in Simi Valley due to the fact that Mark doesn't have a very good track record as far as fixing things correctly. My roommate had work done a few years back and a gasket was missing after the service, causing oil to leak all over the garage floor. Another friend had a similar situation where Mark's son worked on his vehicle and forgot to replace a valve and fortunately my friend was standing there and had to remind him to put the valve back on. This particular day, however, I decided I didn't want to tow my car all the way to Simi so late in the day and that I would give Mark another chance. Big mistake. The next day we rented a car as it would take an additional day to fix the starter. Mark made it sound like it was a job that took hours however I have been informed by my other mechanic and several other knowledgeable people that it takes about 2 1/2 hours tops. Went to get the car the following day. My father out of the goodness of his heart paid the $750 plus tax (over $800) and put it on a credit card for me as this was an unexpected expense I didn't have the money to pay for. I started the car up and it sounded like I was driving a jalopy straight from the 1940's or something. It was making a sound I'd never heard before so I turned around in the parking lot and asked Mark to explain why my car sounded this way. He immediately said "It's your crank sensor." I asked how on earth the crank sensor now needing fixing after he had just replaced the starter. He got very defensive and said that the starter is nowhere near the crank sensor so it wasn't his fault. I asked how much that was going to cost and he said $380 but he couldn't fix it until the following week as it was his birthday and he was off to party in Laughlin. It should be noted here he and the other mechanic drink Pacifico beer all day long and that his need to party far outweighs his need to repair the cars his is paid to service. He told me I could go ahead and drive my car like that because it wouldn't hurt anything. I believe this was on a Friday so I drove my car like this until the following Wednesday or so. Each time I started the car was an effort and it would take several tries to get the engine to turn over. The following week I went back in via a ride with Uber. My car sounded okay so I drove it back home. Later in the afternoon I went to drive my car to the store and it was making the most God awful sound and took about 10 tries to start it. When I called Mark to tell him this he blamed me and said that all that starting of the car over the past week must have just put too much wear and tear on the starter. He said he would order a new one through the warranty but that I would have to pay him for his labor for about 3 more hours. I let him know this wasn't right but he repeatedly told me it wasn't his fault and he was going to charge me. He couldn't fit me in for several days (somewhere around a week give or take) and I brought it back in and paid for yet another Uber back home. When I finally got my car back and tried to start it my car took a long time to turn over once again. Mark said all I had to do was pay him with a 12 pack rather than for his time so I bought he and his drunken mechanic a case of Pacifico and left. He said as I was leaving "You'll have to come back one day soon so we can figure out why it is still having that hard start problem." My friend and I noticed that the car wasn't shifting out of first gear at all so we finally had it towed out to the German Auto Doctor in Simi - where I should have taken my car to begin with. Dave knows his stuff and doesn't consume alcohol while he works on cars. It cost me an ad

I recently needed some advice on putting a new engine into my Mini Countryman since it overheated and the dealer said it needed to be replaced. I had no where to start other than to check in with Yelp. Mark had great reviews so I figured it was worth a shot. I was expecting him to tell me to bring in my car and charge me for an inspection. Surprisingly he provided is opinion and explained things in a way that didn't go over my head. I really appreciated his advice.

This is the best auto shop around. I have a BMW X 3. Mark and staff are honest, provided outstanding customer service, and are true professionals. The dealer wanted thousands of dollars to replace my struts (I usually only go to the dealer for maintenance). Mark did it for less than half of what the dealer wanted. Additionally, I got excellent service/pricing for additional repairs which saved me thousands of dollars and time since the repairs didn't take Mark long and he was flexible. My car is now riding just as good as it did when I first bought it! Save your self a lot of time and money, skip the dealer, and go see Mark.

Called and made an appointment for a power steering pump replacement that another shop recommended on my bmw. Took it in and was advised by Mark that it was not the pump but something minor! Saved me money and was very nice and informative. Found a new local spot for my BMW needs. Thank you Mark

Marc is very honest guy and prices are really reasonable. He fixed the halo head light on my wife's 328i for 60 bucks while other shops said I needed the whole head light assembly which came to 700.00 with labor. If you have a BMW you should be bringing it to Marc. Great shop ?
