Went in after receiving a quote from the Honda Dealership for over $2000. The dealership even lied and told me I had a broken Motor mount.Not here, Dan the mechanic was completely honest and checked the motor mount and was not even broken or damaged . He was able to find that noisy rattle and fix and replace a faulty part. Even went the extra distance to clean and inspect the engine. All this for a fraction of the cost of the dealership. I did wait to be scheduled in; however, the experience and knowledge of a Honda car was worth waiting for. Thanks DanServices: General repairs & maintenance

Dan is awesome! He knows Hondas! I had an odd electrical issue on my car that was blowing out batteries. He is busy, and it can take some time to get in, so I tried to call other places. The norm now is charging for diagnostics, which I understand needs to be done in larger businesses to compensate the mechanics. That could be $150.00. I'm pretty sure these places that don't know Honda's would not have found my issue, which turned out to be some sort of sensor that will keep accessories on, thus draining the battery. It took Dan just a few minutes to disable it, and we have had no problems since. If you have a Honda or Acura, I would highly recommend Advanced Imports Specialists.

I needed the brake accumulator replaced on my Honda Hybrid. They were able to do that in less than a day. I’m very happy with the work done. The cost was very reasonable also. This is my new Honda mechanic.

AVOID : incorrect diagnosis and rude customer service, (look me up on social media as Supra2nv, I know cars , this isn't the place to take the car you love). I was having cylinder 4 misfire on my Acura MDX. Towed my high mileage (284k miles) Acura MDX to Dan based on the reviews online. Plus it was local and convenient. BIG mistake. Incorrectly diagnosed : I was told my car had a head gasket leak . Dan quoted me $2,500 for the repair or find a used engine (install $1500 + engine) . Car is only worth $7k but I was willing to do the repair as this is a very clean 1 owner car for the mileage and my son desperately needed the car . I did question the head gasket as I was not overheating at all . Dan was adamant it was a head gasket issue and was quite rude about his approach. I asked Dan if we could attempt a head gasket sealer I saw online prior to us doing a head gasket repair. Basically flush the coolant and pour in a sealer . He seemed ok with this idea but Dan's grouchy overwhelmed demeanor compelled me to call a tow truck and get the car out of there . I simply couldn't handle Dan's unprofessional behavior, I told him to please stop raising his voice for no reason . He's obviously overwhelmed and in a grumpy mood. After I lectured him on the phone about how he's being out of line . He offered to still do the coolant flush to try the gasket sealer but I refused . I told Dan "why would I have a chef cook me food that he will likely spit in." No thanks I towed the car a second time but now 68 miles to autowave in Huntington Beach as they used to work on my Acura's back in the day . They told me they diagnosed the issue , head gasket was fine, and looked like my misfire was due to needing a valve adjustment lol. Autowave fixed my engine and only cost me $472 !!!! Car is running perfect with no misfires . Not sure I trust Dan at all . Maybe Dan's $2,500 diagnosis was an mistake , maybe it was on purpose. I don't really care . I got my car out of there and don't ever want to deal with this sloppy and rude business Dan is running . Like I told Dan over the phone, one of the most surprising things here is his positive reviews online. Thanks for nothing Dan

Dan has been servicing our daughter's 2008 Honda element for several years now. We had it towed to him years ago when it wouldn't start. He was so honest, fair and competent in that situation that we continued to bring it to him through the years and he has never disappointed. Since he doesn't service my make of car and I came to trust him through the years, I asked him for a recommendation of where to service my car. When I had to take my car into his place of recommendation for an air conditioning issue and they came back that the water pump also needed to be replaced, I called Dan to confirm that he had absolute trust in this place before I paid them $2000. He took time out of his day to call them and discuss the issues with my car. He verified the pricing was fair and that the parts were genuine factory parts. He called me back and put my mind at ease, even suggesting that I ask them to save the old water pump to confirm for myself the leak. We so appreciate Dan. He is ethical, knowledgeable, meticulous in his work and fair in his pricing. Such a rare combination these days! He cares about providing the best for his clients every day. Thank you, Dan!
