I rarely leave reviews, but today’s experience at USPS left me speechless—and not in a good way.
I walked into the post office fully prepared, as someone who spends nearly $1,000 a month on USPS services through EDDM and Priority Mail. I had one simple question about measuring and weighing an item, and instead of getting even a baseline level of customer service, I was met with pure indifference.
Ben, the employee who helped me, could not stop glancing at his watch like it was a countdown to his escape. His body language screamed, “I don’t care.” He looked so uncomfortable and distracted, I honestly thought he either had to use the bathroom or had mentally clocked out 30 minutes before his shift was over.
I had a package I was trying to ship back via ground, and I asked what it would cost. Before I could even finish my sentence, he cut me off and said, “Well, you have to put a label on it first or write on it.” I told him I had a marker ready and just wanted to know what it would cost.
Instead of helping, he started making grunts behind his mask, lifting his hand to check his watch every five seconds, and clearly acting like I was keeping him from something more important.
He finally put it on the scale and said it would start at $28 and change and go up. I said, “Okay, great. So what’s next?” and he replied, “Well, then I have to measure it.”
I looked at him and said, “I can see you’re clearly disturbed. Is something going on?” He answered, “The guy’s going to close the door,” and I told him that was fine. But it was obvious he wanted me gone more than he wanted to help.
So I left. I decided people like him are not worth my time. I’ll take my business to UPS.
This is exactly why USPS continues to lose ground. In the private sector, someone like Ben wouldn’t last a week. But because USPS is a protected government-run operation, accountability is nonexistent, and customer experience is treated like an afterthought—if it’s even considered at all.
USPS, you are on life support for a reason. Encounters like this are exactly why people cheer on your eventual downfall. Shape up or step aside for those who understand that serving the public is a responsibility, not an inconvenience.

The people working here are so rude and condescending. I greeted them and they weren't even polite enough to say hi. There was a delivery attempt that I needed to resolve and they were not at all helpful, just rude and condescending. I can tell you hate your job, no need to take it out on other people.

The guy there named Lawrence is the rudest person on postal offices I have dealt with.
He hates his job.

To the Post Office Staff ~ Especially Whoever Handles the Mailboxes,
If you don’t care about doing your job properly, please step aside and let someone who actually takes pride in their work take over. The service is consistently careless and disrespectful. People rely on you, and your attitude shows zero professionalism. Enough is enough.

I rented a PO Box after two months I checked it and it was full of someone else mails. I canceled it immediately and I requested refund and the black big guy was freaked out. No refund because our worker made a mistake……

People in this USPS office HATE their job, they just don't want to work, they were retaining my mail due to a broken mailbox at my apartment complex and the bald guy, BEN tried to give me the mail of ANOTHER PERSON, he clearly doesn't care. You are letting these people handle sensible information and the worst thing is we have no other option that keep using the USPS services. its a nightmare.

The old bald guy named Ben is terrible. He tells you to fill out forms that you don’t need then keep asking the lady what to do. Also not very polite. He should be fired.

Don’t go here at 2pm on a Saturday
Some dumb bald old man made me wrap my box in priority tape, then scans my prepaid label, then says oh we can’t use this packaging because you used priority tape, so you’ll need to by our clear tape or pay extra.
why’d you tell me to use the priority tape???

Truly a 0 Star facility. Such passive aggressive behavior from the older old man with glasses. Absolutely no customer service to the point of no politeness whatsoever. Almost like, “How do you say I hate my job without saying I hate my job?” If you’re having a bad day and hate your life, don’t take it out on the people that walk in and had to stand in line for “service”. Sooooo passive aggressive. Told the man this was ridiculous and left. Headed to UPS. Nobody deserves to be mishandled by a government employee. Just retire already. Don’t take your disappointing life out on customers.

10 days and the package has yet to move from this facility, why doesn't USPS investigate the problem?

Mr lernie Asian man very rude and disrespectful it’s very sad that I can’t go to another usps this is my home usps but this man is very rude he has no customer service he hates his job doesn’t like to help the customers, he screams like a child throws tantrums and if he doesn’t like the way you speak to him which is a good manner he gets mad and refuses to help or says immature thing and days you can report me I don’t need them they need me . So unfortunately it doesn’t matter how many complaints their is they do not care .
