I have shopped many comic stores, across the United States and Canada, but none can compare to Spero's Heroes. To have such an amazing institution in my own backyard is an incredible luxury. Elliot, Raza and Kevin are the best. Unbelievable selection and incredible deals are all part of just another day at Spero's. If you love vintage comics, this establishment should be at the top of your shopping list. And no, this is not a paid endorsment, just the comments of a very happy customer.

Spero’s has been my go-to Comic shop for a few years now. Elliot and the rest of the Spero’s staff are always friendly and knowledgeable on all things comics and pop culture. Highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!

This place is amazing so many wall books, long boxes and dollar books. The staff and the God Father of comics are so kind and informative. If the staff is not busy they will help you look for any books you need. I enjoy coming checking out and seeing what new stock they have. you may even see a youtuber come in once in a while. Always far in prices, give this place a try.

For my first time here great service! They knew what comics should I get!!! Omg iam soo happy with my service! I get a cool star wars toy for my son graduation! Plus I got to 2 free comics! I had the distinct pleasure in selling off the majority of my collection(approximately 5k Silver & Bronze age books) to the fine folks at Spero's today. From the moment I spoke with Kevin on the phone, to the second I walked through their front door, I knew I was at the right place. Both Kevin and Rez were courteous, respectful and fair when it came to negotiating a price for my collection. Kevin was even kind enough to drive back to my house to load up 21 long boxes and another dozen short boxes into my truck to take back to their shop.
Afterward, I had the honor to me the owner, Elliot. He was very friendly and grateful towards me.
This shop, along with all it's staff are top notch.
This is the kind of shop where you not only want to spend hours flipping through the endless rows of boxes of back issues to fill in all of those gaps, but it's the kind of shop where you are treated like family the minute you step inside the door.
Definitely one, if not the best comic shop in the valley.

An extremely welcoming atmosphere and vibe Kevin was especially helpful explaining what the store exactly carries and how it's organized. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience this is my #1 spot for classic comics/manga. I went with my wife and my little one because we passed by it a week prior and decided to give them a try...trust me its well worth your a visit.

Great old school comic book store! Came here with my kids a few months back and we had a great time. Super friendly staff/owners that we had a long convo about comics & movies with. Also has a HUGE $1 room, which I love. Will definitely be returning!

I've been going to comic book stores for three and half decades now and I can honestly say I have never had a more pleasant experience inside of one than I did at Spero's Heroes yesterday.
This is a store that has trades, toys, and miscellany but specializes in back issues. If you're a long time comic book fan looking to fill in the gaps in your collection (I know and you know they're there) this should be the first spot you visit in the Los Angeles area! I was in for two hours and I only really had the chance to dig through the "Superman" boxes; there were (quite literally) TONS of long boxes available to excavate. The prices are very affordable and the owner of the store, Elliott, gave me a veteran's discount to boot.
The staff are genial, polite, and accommodating. They explained the layout of their store, how to find what I was looking for, and engaged my wife in earnest conversation while I was rifling through the long boxes. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the shop with smiling faces and laughter all around. At the end of the visit, we answered a few trivia questions (one for me, one for the missus) and for getting them both right we got to select two free bonus books from the boxes in the front of the shop. It was a cherry on top of a great visit!
