Valley of the Paws Pet Grooming
22330 Sherman Way, Canoga ParkBy far the best grooming spot in the SFV ! I have a chihuahua Italian greyhound mix Cricket who is a rescue & is anxious, & Marcus is so gentle & kind to her ! He does everything he can to make my dog comfy & same for every dog that goes there ! & they have NO cages ! So the dog babies can play before parents arrive ! All the staff there are so nice too ! I really took time to find somewhere nice for my dog baby, & I am so happy I chose Valley of the Paws !

Pet Sitting & Training
Dog Sitting By Ally
8534 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Canoga ParkHere I am, just as I promised a few weeks ago when I reserved an overnight stay for Mr. MacDougal, my Tibetan Terrier. Admittedly, I was concerned about leaving him anywhere because I am rarely away from him. I literally prayed that I would be led to a truly competent, caring pet sitter. Well, my prayers were answered and I knew it when I arrived at Ally's lovely, neat, clean, beautiful home and spacious yard. The energy was very positive and I immediately recognized her as someone who has been blessed with a natural love and affinity for animals. Several other dogs had already arrived and it appeared that Ally was going to have a busy weekend! Her confidence, ability, organization and care for her 'guests' was obvious and extremely reassuring. She told me that she would be texting me many pictures of Mr. MacDougal's time with her and I knew in my heart that he would be well cared for. Ally is gifted with a special ability to communicate with dogs. I saw her in action and I remain astounded by her talents. I live in Palm Springs but visit the San Fernando Valley every few weeks as my daughter lives there. I can't begin to describe how happy, reassured and thankful I am to have found this young woman. I recommend her with absolutely NO reservations!! She sets the standard in pet care!!!

Pet Peeves Training, LLC
7925 Variel Ave, Canoga ParkSeriously, what are you waiting for? If you are looking for a great trainer, look no further. Make. The. Call. We adopted our dog (Truffle) about a year ago and he was calm for about two weeks. After that, he has been difficult. Sweet at times but at other times....really, really terrible. We've had other dogs but Ttuffle was like no other. So, enter Laura. Our dog had problems with chewing, jumping, barking, mouthing, attention seeking, pulling, reactivity, etc. You name it, we had it. But then, sometime he would just curl up next to me and somehow the world was right. Well, Laura gave me the tools to handle the behavior issues. He's not perfect yet but he's a whole lot better than the pre-Laura Era. From the moment Laura walked into our home, Truffle was barking and jumping on her. We had finished a 6 week obedience course at Petsmart and we still weren't able to control the jumping. Within 5 minutes, probably less, Laura had Truffle quiet and sitting at her feet. That was just the beginning. They say pet trainer are really training the owners and I truly believe that. I realized the lack of respect that Truffle had for me. He loved me but knew he could get away with a lot more with me. A master manipulator! Much of what is published online did not work with what we were dealing with. With Laura's guidance and support much of what we were dealing with has been remedied. A million thanks yous, Laura! You are a life saver (ours and Truffle's). And if you're still reading....BOOK NOW.

J9's K9s Dog Training
21720 Sherman Way, Canoga ParkThis morning, our 9 month old puppy got out while I was bringing up our garbage bins -- I could see him starting to nervously head in the wrong direction, but I used the emergency recall word we learned in class and he immediately turned and bolted back to me. So, THANK YOU J9's K9's So far we've taken 3 classes with Courtney -- two classes with our puppy, and one class with our older pup. Courtney is so kind, knowledgable, and clearly cares about all of her students. We will definitely be back for more classes this year and cannot recommend J9's K9's enough!

Mc BOBA
7222 Canoga Ave, Canoga ParkFirst time stopping by. 5/5 hidden gem. Cool lil sitting area with mini, comfy seats. Snacks n boba was great. Service was quick with kind, friendly energy. Playlist was a vibe throughout our whole time there. We got Hokkaido Milk Tea:- sooo good and very subtly sweet even when I requested 100% sugar. Haven't found a good Hokkaido milk tea since Quickly's on Balboa! Took the risk and it was a very pleasant surprise. Thai tea: on the sweeter side. Love it this way. Nutella taiyakis: My ultimate fav! These come in a pair. They come warm and don't skimp on the filling. I wanna say these stole the show, but everything was just amazing. Their boba is perfect - chewy and yummy, absorbing the flavor of whichever drink it's in. + they have Buy 1 Get 1 Free Bobas from 3:30-4:30 on Mon, Tues, & Thurs I believe. What a steal! Will be back!

Wanderlust Creamery
6600 CA-27, Canoga ParkThe two ladies who closed on September 12th 2024 were absolute angels and went above and beyond giving the BEST customer service ever.
It was my best friend's bday and the were so kind and explained all the flavors he asked about and of course gave samples and I know it seems like such a little thing but they really made the end of our night with their great personalities, perfect service, and overall sweetness.
They were about to close and it was past 9 and a huge group of people came and wanted ice cream (we were sitting nearby) and they invited them over and said we will stay open for you guys, no problem and they took excellent care of that huge group as well, which in my opinion, is above and beyond.
I wish I caught their names, they were two beautiful brunette young ladies and they deserve so much praise and recognition for.just being wonderful.
If neither of them owned it, then the boss must be proud to have them as employees...and I hope he takes as great care of them as they do the customers!!

Capital One Café
6600 CA-27 Suite 1038 Suite 1038, Canoga ParkI found this through my capitol one app and decided to stop in at topanga cafe . I was greeted by two persons when i walked in, i asked about restroom policy if i needed to show my CC to use facility and was met with no , everyone is welcome . Kyle also mentioned Cardholders get 50% off coffee beverages, they can help open new accounts and answer account questions . The shared restroom was very clean . The facility overall very tidy , i'd say busy, there were not a lot of open comfortable spaces to sit , so if you plan to come here for a long day, i'd say arrive before noon. I arrived about 1:00pm . both private rooms on a Tuesday were in use . I would suspect these are first come first served since they didn't seem to have any hard policies but before assuming that you should call . They pipe in music , it's not blaring at all and probably helps drown out the noise from the coffee/food area . What would help would be a piece of glass higher up between the food area and seating . The prices seemed fair . They keep mall hours and can use the facility as long as you wish. Overall , the vibe was chill. It didn't seem overly buzzing busy where you might have trouble concentrating . I don't recall anyone speaking out loud using the phone , personally i would find that kind of a narcissistic in this environment. This should be like a library environment , if you must chat use a private room or low tones. using your ear buds would make it totally bearable . Lots of electrical plugs all along the back area . I could see this busy on the weekends with teens coming here from Topanga social /mall to hang out for the free wi-fi. IMHO 18+ would keep the environment more of a working space vs a social space Mon-Friday .

Main Kitchen Cafe
8901 De Soto Ave, Canoga ParkThis was a nice experience. Came in for brunch and had chilaquiles and a burger. The chilaquiles were a bit under presented but were actually really good when I tasted it. Spicy and still had some crisp in the chips. Also order it with chorizo which I think brought the whole dish together. The burger was huge. I bit over seasoned but went well with all the ingredients of the sandwich. The side potatoes were mediocre. I also had a michelada which I was surprised when it was presented because it looked so good. Over the drink was average but looked good. The cranberry mimosa had good volume, good taste. I would say this a good bang for your buck. Will definitely return.

North Italia Topanga
6600 CA-27 Suite #52, Canoga ParkCame here after work with a friend, and it was so lovely. The place is huge and so festive looking. It looks really classy and spacious. You can dress up, but I was in jeans and a sweater and it was just right. We had wine and bruschetta to start, and then got pasta. The server was so so kind and helpful. She came to our table at least 8 times total thoughout the evening. The bar is so pretty as well, I love design of the place a lot! Would go again if I'm back in Topanga
