Worst and disgusting return service here. If there is someone who doesn’t know how to do their job, they need to have better training until they are qualified. Not only that but if you make a mistake due to the lack of training, at least have the decency to apologize. Btw whoever is the store manager, the attitude is not better either. How ironic.

I just walked out of the store. Though I LOVE Free People and have shopped the App many times, I walked out without a thing. When I was here a few weeks ago to return a pair of boots that had been gifted to me over the holidays that unfortunately did not fit well, they helped me immediately. This time, no help. I circled twice because I REALLY wanted to use my credit today, but did not see what I had looked at on the app. Not one of the 3 store clerks asked if I needed help, which I did! They continued chatting away about another customer who they presumably did not like. I will never come back. As someone who worked MANY years at high end retail, I was appalled by their behavior and lack of service.

I used to be completely obsessed with Free People! Since may of 2021, I ordered 60 times from them! Not 60 items but 60 times, most often multiple items! So now that we've established how much I used to love them, you'll be surprised to find out I've stopped altogether over a month ago and haven't gone back, not planning to! Their clothes have gotten flimsier, worse quality and I friggin hate spending $200 for a sweater only to have it disintegrated in less than a year! Their on sale stuff is even worse! I don't understand what the heck happened! They used to be on par with Anthropologie- I mean they are the same pretty much, but A's clothes are a lot higher quality and you can bet they're not gonna disintegrate within a year! Same with Urban Outfitters- sister store- but again, higher quality! Free People, Whatta heck happened?? Please fix this issue so I can enjoy your slammin styles again! Please! Now- I see a lot of people saying the sales staff is rude etc! I've been in there many times and dealt with ALL of them! They're the sweetest girls!! What are you people talking about? Maybe you are the problem?? I'm nice to them, I'm polite to them, they give me that double in return!! Perhaps the people who complain have just sour, nasty attitudes! Or maybe it was employees who no longer work there. But I wanted to clear that up: in 2021/2022, the girls who work at the Canoga Park location are muah chef's kiss perfectly nice!! This whole critique of them got me so mad, I upped my rating from 2 to 3 stars!

Izzy is amazing! She saved the day! The holiday season can get crazy- but this FP is consistent in their great customer service and friendliness. A+

I like this store. We keep going to other stores that are very 90s . I feel like I'm getting ready to go to a rave . Not this again! I like the vibe here way better ! More 70s ! Bellbottoms patchwork still hobo chic. The quality is amazing . Always been a huge fan of free people

Free People is one of my all time favorite brands and I have spent A LOT of $$ with them. I normally shop online but today I decided to shop in the store for the first time. I figured it would be good to try before I buy. I ended up spending close to $400 but not one person greeted me, asked me if I needed help or asked me if I wanted a dressing room. I walked around with clothes in my arms and finally walked to the dressing room and asked an employee if I could place them in the fitting room. Again, while in the dressing room, nobody came to check on me or anything. This is during Covid times, so it’s not like the store was super busy or crowded. The cashier rung me up and quite sure she took credit for the sale. I’ve worked in retail for quite some time and this was just disappointing, especially for my first visit in store rather than online. The staff needs training in what customer service is all about. Wow! I worked in retail for 7 years and I must say that I felt compelled to come on here after a wonderful experience with the manager, Jesse (and shout out to the associate helping out on the neighboring register - you are a sweetheart, too!). I silently observed both of them just gracefully navigate transactions and customer service with the utmost class - a true pleasure to behold. The way they communicated with each other as a team and the clientele was really a breath of fresh air - so much so that I may ditch online shopping just to circle back to these two. I bet the whole damn team is like this - thank you for being sweet humans, Jesse and Team!!

I'm writing about Free People's terrible sizing of their products. I wear an XS or S size. Orders from other stores in these sizes fit me perfectly. I love FP's products and styling but nothing fits. I buy mostly online and I just purchased the twisted heart cozy denim jacket in an XS. It was huge, probably a large in other manufacturers sizes. Pants from free people are always about 6-12" too long. I don't know who they're styling clothes for, but their sizing makes no sense. Since there's nothing smaller than xs, I guess I'm not the demographic they're selling to. Too bad...I'll stick with Nordstrom and other sellers.
