“One word to describe this place - PRICEY.My review is only about buying gravel/stone/road base/ Decomposed granite.The employees are all super helpful and nice, but you definitely pay for the convenience of having it close by.Pros:Easy accessGreat serviceGood supply and optionsWorth it if you need small amounts of materialCons:Pricey compared to larger material yardsNot a lot of options for loose materialRoad base is chunkier than you'd really like for projects like starter layer for pavers.Material sold by the 1/3 cu yard, but same price as a full cubic yard of material at other places slightly farther out of townI'd go here again inly when I need small amounts of stuff otherwise it's cheaper to drive farther for larger loads.”

“I had ordered broken concrete for my project and Josh was super helpful.On delivery day, he sent out Joel who brought all the pallets on the big truck then masterfully operated his forklift to drop the pallets off right next to the work site. Because he was careful and thoughtful, he made sure that he did not run over any of the hard-to-see sprinklers. I could not be more pleased with the friendliness and professionalism - thank you Central Valley Builders!!”
“5/9/23 I so appreciate my visit at Superior Moulding because they are old school...greet you when you arrive with a, "How can I help you?" I showed Gio the baseboard sample where he knew the code number and that is was a special order item available the next day. Before I could follow up the next day Superior called me saying it was ready. From the front door to everyone's eye contact with a hello and smile, to their knowledgeable service, to their incredible products and showroom, to the friendly Will Call who cut my wood this is an example of how to run an excellent business where customers enjoy giving their money to. “I've been coming to Central Valley Builders Supply since 1994 when I was rebuilding my house after it fell in the Northridge Earthquake. I've been here to get re-bar, sand and gravel, wood, stepping stones, concrete bags, mortar, and tools. It's always been a good experience with easy parking and friendly employees. Located on Sepulveda near Oxnard it's easy to find. Josh has been very helpful and quite nice to my wife and I. He should be running this place in my opinion. You order and pay at the desk inside and then wait outside the door for someone to get your paperwork. Soon your materials are brought right to your Car or Truck. Prices are reasonable and competitive. It can be busy early in the day but lightens up before noon”

“Phil in tools is working his butt off today. People might complain about the wait, but let's not forget he didn't choose to lock up all the tools, that's a Home Depot policy because of thefts. He helped every customer with grace and patience. Perhaps Home Depot could staff another person to help because Phil had to walk each person to check out and that is very time consuming.”

“I am a DIY kind of person who creates projects around the house...inside and out. Today I had an idea to put medium sized grey rocks in my outdoor planter section...so I headed to Jacobi Building Materials in Canoga Park. Roberto helped me calculate how many bags I would need for the square footage that I wanted to cover. Another staff member showed me the various sizes I could choose from...but I was matching an existing area so with my samples it took like 30 seconds to find them!They have a delivery option (not too expensive) and guess what? They delivered itwithin a few hours!!! 23 bags worth! My son and I got started and within two hours we were done and it looks amazing!Thank you Jacobi Building Materials and Roberto! PS On my way out I spotted some gorgeous huge boulder-type rocks...what will my next project be (tee hee)!”
