If you own a Tascam , Otari, Teac, or Fostex this spot is a treasure. My 388 has been serviced and various things fixed twice. Both times it was done in a few days and sounded better than before with problems I didn't even know I had found and fixed. Adrian knows these machines completely and charges very fair prices.

I brought in my original 388 that I purchased in 1988. Made original demos to all my recordings on it. After years of abuse, then neglect, decided to make digital transfers of all analog recordings.Obviously the thing didn't work for a multitude of reasons. After a visit to the master it is seriously as good as new. Adrian I can't thank you enough. I only wish there were more like you out there.Jude Cole

Adrian made my TEAC A-6100 work and sound awesome!! I did not have any change for the parking meter in front of his store and he gave me some so I would not get a ticket! What a guy!!

I LOVE Adrian. I have a lot of Vintage Tascam tape machines. First of all , thank God someone Can fix them. But this guy is The greatest, not JUST a repair shop ..Just look at his workBench , organized , clean and Unlike any work space I've ever Seen. He is a little , just a little ,Grumpy.... But so knowledgeable And fair prices. He seems to workAlone. I would hope he could trainA younger person to take overIn the future ...... but he's probably Witnessed the problem of hiring Today.... New millennials , don't Want to work, don't want to payTheir dues.... I Hope their parents All have a couch they can live onWhen they realize they pissedTheir lives away by the time They hit 40. Because .... That's their Future.

Adrian is a jewel. This review is a bit late, he actually performed the work on my TASCAM 52 about 5 years ago. Left channel record circuit was intermittent which was fixed beautifully and he cleaned and brought the entire deck to factory spec with the exception of the record bias which I had him calibrate to RMG SM900, aka Record the Music SM 900, a Plus 9 formulation. Couldn't be happier with the result. As I said, it's been five years now and absolutely no issues. I hope the man lives forever.

My father had passed down an old TEAC reel to reel recorder/player and this heirloom was very precious to me, particularly after he passed away. I left the item with a highly reputable audio repair center in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, they were unable to make any progress on restoring it after two years in the shop. The shopowners insisted that parts would have to be salvaged from other TEAC players and this could take a very long time. I resolved that I needed to do something about getting this item restored immediately. On account of this, I am very happy that I discovered Adrian's service center. I made phone call to Adrian, and he confidently assured me that he can get new parts installed in a matter of weeks. I retrieved my player from the first shop and brought it in the Adrian's shop within that same week. After a nice conversation explaining details about tape quality, he gave me an estimate immediately without even dismantling the unit. He provided two estimates, one basic restoration, and one that would bring the unit back to full factory TEAC specs. I opted for the latter, and this would involve what is known as a tape head relap. This meant bringing the unit to a 3rd party specialist that resurfaces the heads, as cleaners would be insufficient to get the job done. Out the door, the full cost of repairs was under $600 which is a bit less than I expected. But more importantly he promised all the repairs to be done in less than a month. He spoke with me later on the phone and discussed what kind of tapes I had on hand. Armed with this information, he was able to calibrate the bias on the machine for two kinds of tapes to optimize sound quality on recording. I brought the TEAC home last week, and immediately tested out some of my father's classic tapes, and the sound quality was just marvelous. I am so relieved that I discovered a local place in Los Angeles that can specifically repair such a rare commodity these days. I would shudder at having to ship such a fragile, bulky item across the country.

I recently had two Teac recorders worked on by Adrian and am very satisfied. One was as an A 3300SX-2T. Adrian replaced the record and playback heads, cleaned up an serviced the tape transport and finally calibrated the machine for recording using the currently manufactured SM911 tape. I tested playback using a $200 Ballfinger Sampler tape purchased from Analogy Records and was extremely impressed with the playback quality. I've tested recording using both microphone and line in inputs and the results were great.The other machine was the quarter track X300R that had not been used in over 10 years. Adrian brought it back to life by changing the belts and servicing the transport. Adrian made sure that I new how to properly load the tape so that the auto reverse function engages.In conclusion, I highly recommend Adrian Proaudio Services.

The moment I stepped in to his shop I felt at ease and knew my machine would be in good hands, his work is at meticulous as his shop is, reasonable price and Turnaround time even took the time to help answer some questions beyond the scope of the job. 5 stars
