We spent the weekend here for our OA ordeal. I'm not sure if this is a fair evaluation as this is a new property for the BSA. As is common with most BSA camps be prepared to hike between the dining hall and camping areas. The good news is that things are closer together than what we are used to and the hiking is not steep. Yahoo. There is quite a bit of construction going on. The bathroom facilities are vault toilets which in themselves aren't bad but the doors are warped and delaminating to the point of being either very hard to close or impossible to close. A gentleman walked in on me once as the door couldn't close all the way. An "Occupied" sign might be helpful but the solution is non-warping doors. The dining hall is open air which is common for Scout camps. The food was AWESOME. The volunteer staff was friendly and helpful. The seats on the benches though were so low that getting up was difficult. (OK, I'm old.) Perhaps having the ability to reserve a table with higher benches for older/otherly abled Scouters would be helpful. There were a few benches there that were like that. Another item that needs to be developed is getting water out to camping areas, if possible. We managed well during the day as water was delivered, however, with the camping sites being dry, you need to be prepared to bring your thermos or insulated water jug to your campsite for water at night or in the morning. There are two sinks in the dining area for hand washing. The dirt is red so be prepared to wash everything including your car. I look forward to seeing this site develop in the coming years.

It is for sure no Camp Lassen but it has potential. Lots and lots of work to get to that point though (time and money that in my opinion would be better spent bringing Camp Lassen up).

Love this place! My womens group rents this facility every summer that it is available for the past 10 years with the exception of 2014 and 2016 when the facility switched management then ownership. We love the pool and the kitchen is top notch! There is room for tents but i personally sleep in the lean to bunk beds outside! There is a small stage as well as a fire pit with seating, you can't go wrong here its the outing i look forward to every year!!Not to mention the outrageous amounts of blackberry bushes that have the absolute sweetest fruit. This place continues to grow and improve on their facilities. Can't wait to see what they do next.

It was a cool place to camp because of the sleeping in a bed and under a structure but open to the outdoors only bad thing is to go swimming you have to drive to a nearby lake like 5-10 min down the road
