I could give a lower star I would. Miss quoted kennel costs over Christmas and I’m sitting in tears and they over charged me the high price anyway. Holding my dogs hostage and not even letting me see them until the Karen manager could get down to talk to me. Someone is in tears and you have their dogs and you wouldn’t even let them be in the same room or come downstairs while I wait.Watch them have no appointments and sitting empty, and yet charge an exorbitant emergency fee to see an ill cat just because he called that day saying the cat was ill and now it’s an emergency for them and they are going to charge the huge high price. Know they had no customers to see that day, and it was not a weekend. Avoid this particular location because they are a bunch of heartless, greedy terrible people.

Dr. Hoang is AMAZING! I have an anxious special needs dog (Shiba Inu) and she is always kind and understanding while making sure he gets the best care. We relocated from the East Coast and it was tough to find a vet that would take care of my guy, but she stepped up to the challenge and has been the BEST vet I have ever had. The support staff is amazing as well, very kind and understanding, even when I get overwhelmed. A million thanks to Winchester VCA, and HIGHLY recommend them for your pets care.

I’m a retired veterinary technician. So when I say I love the staff at VCA Winchester it means something. Dr Salsman is my service dog’s vet and she really likes him. He genuinely loves the pets and it shows.

This veterinarian hospital is great, they are truly lifesavers! My dog was suffering from frequent and reoccurring skin condition that resulted in an extreme amount of hair loss that persisted and increasingly got worse over the course of several months and she also had a foul oder to her skin as well that persisted even after she was bathed. I went to several veterinary clinics and saw several veterinarians trying to treat my dog's skin condition but it wasn't until I found Dr. Yung at VCA Winchester Animal Hospital that I was truly able to find the information and help that I needed regarding my dogs skin condition.Upon examination, Dr. Yung was immediately able to form an opinion as to what my dog Maggie's diagnoses was and and then she preformed the proper tests on Maggie in order to confirm the diagnoses. It turns out that my dog was suffering from allergies that would cause her to have bacterial infections as well as a yeast infections on her skin. These infections were causing massive amounts of hair loss all over her body and they were even spreading to her eyes and inside her ears. My dog Maggie was so miserable and her belly was so raw from her licking her skin that she would frequently howl out in pain and scratch herself frequently. Not only was Dr. Yung able to diagnose and treat Maggie's skin condition, she was also able to find and inform me of a heart murmur that Maggie was suffering from. We are still working on testing Maggie's heart murmur but whatever happens I feel confident that she will receive the best care possible with Dr. Yung at VCA Winchester Animal Hospital. It may take a bit of time to get into an appointment with VCA Winchester Animal Hospital due to their very busy schedule here. That being said, I promise you that it is worth the wait to see Dr. Yung. They are also very reasonably priced here as well. Additionally, I was recently made aware of a health care package that they have for growing puppies that is offered in the form of a reasonably priced 12 month payment plan. I, personally, am on a very tight budget these days, and so I found their health care package very beneficial. I am very thankful for VCA Winchester Animal Hospital. In fact, I just got a new addition to my family, an adorable Boston Terrier puppy named Lucie and we will be entrusting her care to VCA Winchester Animal Hospital. We are super excited to be continuing Maggie and Lucie's care with VCA Winchester Animal Hospital and I am super thankful for Dr. Yung and all of her knowledge, wisdom, and expertise. A special shout out and thanks to all of the other wonderful team members at VCA Winchester Animal Clinic as well!

We have been bringing our dogs here for years and the service here has dramatically declined. The staff are friendly and polite however there have been too many issues for us to continue bringing our pets here. We recently called about 2 weeks ago to let them know we were boarding our dogs and they needed to be up to date and fully vaccinated for boarding so we made an appointment and I brought my dogs in. ( one of these dog passed away from old age a few days ago so she ended up not being part of the second part of this) Today when I went to drop my still living dog for boarding and the boarding employee checked his records sent by VCA he was in fact NOT given all the vaccines needed and I was not able to leave him. When I called VCA to see what the confusion was the woman on the phone said oh sorry we missed noticing he needed that vaccine and it's too late to give it now ... there's a 7 day period after , before your dog can be boarded. So now I cannot board my dog and have nowhere to take him for boarding due to the miscommunication and negligence. Also - let's say the boarding place missed that info and they accepted our dog and then he got sick while staying there. Just unacceptable all around. If you do decide to bring your dogs here I recommend triple checking that they truly do receive the vaccines they need and that no paperwork or chart info is missed. However after other issues we've had there and now this very unfortunate situation my trust with them caring for my animals is completely broken and we will never return here. There is another VCA in Gilroy with amazing staff and service and we will be taking our business there from now on. I'm posting this review in hopes to save someone else from the absolute chaos of having to find last minute care for days for your beloved animals - I truly hope this does not happen to anyone else.PS I've called to speak to a manager or supervisor to figure out what went wrong here and no one has called me back.

NOTE: I've NEVER written a negative review anywhere. But this questionably suspect DVM warrants one. This review is solely based on my one and only deplorable experience with "Dr." Jenice Hayes. She joined the clinic after I had already been a client there for many years. I would like to further disclose that Drs. Hoang and Salzman are extremely skilled, empathetic, and personable. My pets and I worked with them regularly. (Dr. Mitjans was not employed with this facility when I last visited.)It's also important to note that the hospital managers at this facility turnover regularly. Their current manager is not the one I had dealt with prior, and has zero firsthand knowledge to what transpired. So any feedback from their front office staff that might follow is irrelevant.I need to call attention to anyone who might need Hayes in an urgent situation. She lacks basic care, evidence-based clinical skills, candor, professionalism, and accountability. I had two sister pets experiencing an allergic reaction and lengthy vomiting. I called VCA to bring them in, and unfortunately only Jenice Hayes was on-staff at the moment. I had never heard of her and didn't know she had joined the clinic.Jenice Hayes not only refused to see my animals, she refused to simply talk with me via phone or call me back. Her rationale according to the front desk staff - who have all since quit - was that "I was not her patient, and she had never seen my animals prior." Same small clinic, but suddenly she decided what animals she wants to see?Hayes COWARDLY stated via her staff that I would have to take them to the Sage ER. The front desk personnel profusely apologized and could not explain any good reason why she would not at least quickly call me back to allay my concerns. Meanwhile I ran them to Sage. When I called this VCA back later to inquire what possible reason she could have to treat me as she had, I was told that they simply didn't know. I shared with them that I don't care what her reason was, I had always seen whatever vet was available to me, no questions asked. EVER. I began with Dr. Rogers - whom since retired. When he was unavailable, I would see Drs. Hoang or Salzman or whomever I was told was available. Yet, NOW when I needed them to accommodate my sick animals, suddenly this nasty vet didn't want to play by the same courtesies. It was inconvenient to her.Keep in mind that she had plenty of time to relay messages to me via staff members, but lacked decency or professionalism to just call me back at some point.I was furious. And rightfully so, since I could've lost both sibling pets and had to spend over $1,200 at an ER. Do yourself a favor and learn from my experience. No matter how she might favorably position herself to you when convenient for HER, if you're ever in a bind, and she "ain't feelin' it" to see you, she'll let you and your pets suffer before she lifts a finger. She gives this facility a bad name. The upside is that I found another clinic that's not only more affordable - and doesn't try to peddle unhealthy Hill's Science Diet foods - but would never leave pets in peril. It's no exaggeration that Jenice Hayes shouldn't be selling goldfish at Petco. The LAST thing she should be is a anyone's vet.

This VCA location has been great with vaccines and wellness check/ maintainance. However, we haven't been able to find a doctor that we like and trust. Last week, Tue. Dec. 20th after one week or so something is bothering my girl, I saw she was dripping some liquid on the floor. I did a free catch sample and sent it in immediately at VCA hoping to get a result asap, and medicate her if needed before everyone went on holiday break. The doctor Noah Salzman told me multiple times he would call me to let me know the results the next day afternoon (Wed. Dec. 21). Wed. afternoon came and went, I didn't get any call, any voicemail or email. I called the clinic and they said the doctor already went home and wouldn't be at work for the next 10 days (or some other extended days). Thursday morning I called again and again trying to understand what the test results are. I was told they couldn't find a doctor to let me know and their office manager wasn't around to handle this situation, either. So basically this whole place went on vacation before anyone else did and didn't care if your pet was hanging there urgently waiting for a test results that would determine if your pet needed meds or not. I had to cancel my busy holiday schedules of the day on Thu. (in much distress), call around different animal clinics trying to get another sample and a new test (thinking we've lost 2 days). We finally were able to get an appointment at VCA Blossom Hill Thu. afternoon. Dr. Regan was able to aquire the test results from Winchester and let me know the results that was sitting at Winchester with no doctors available to let me know. After I was in very much anger and told them I would file a complaint, the doctor (Salzman) kept calling me Thu. night and sent message to let me know the results that I already knew. If he did the same on Wed. night and made sure I got the results I needed at the time, It would've saved me from cancelling my plans, calling everywhere, going to see another doctor and traumatizing my girl allover again. This is the second doctor appointment I had with this location. My first one wasn't memorable and I didn't like the doctor's approach on something that I didn't remember.
