I've only had positive experiences at Sportsman's Supply in Campbell. One of the oldest local gun stores that I've been going to since the early 90's. Bought by first Glock 17 at Sportsman's Supply back in 1991 (I think it was 1991). Been coming here over the years, for guns, ammo, extra magaines, other accessories. I recently picked up a Ruger Max-9, which I absolutely love! Their price beat another local gun store on the Max-9. Most recently I was able to snatch up a used Springfield XD 9 Sub-Compact (almost like new) for a price I call a steal! Right after I evaluated it, I knew if I didn't snatch it up, it would have been gone immediatley, so I pulled the trigger (pun intended). They have a pretty large selection of used rifles & shotguns on display. All in all, this is a small family owned business, one of the original, old school gun stores still around. I always enjoy coming to Sportsman's Supply and checking out all the new and used pistols & rifles. Their regular, non-sale price on 1000 rounds of 9mm, beat Big-5's sale/coupon price for 1000 rounds, and the brand was better in my opinion (S&B). Highly reccomend!

I went into this place last saturday was looking for a rifle for my son. Long story short we spent about three hours there. The staff is very knowledgeable and was more than willing to spend the time to make sure my son got exactly what he was looking for. Honestly after leaving I felt like they didn't make enough profit on me for the time spent and the knowledgeable information that both me and my son received from this Establishment. I very much appreciate the staff in this shop. I wish more businesses were run like this one.

Friendly Shop Owner and Staff. A go to gun store for me. Cool accessories. An Institution for concealed carry gun, shooting sports and fishing needs. Price is fair. Location is great. I will visit again and again. ???️?

I wanted to purchase my first firearm , a pistol . I had brought all my documents as needed , My ID with the golden bear on the top right corner , Up to date DMV registration for second proof of adress and residency and of course my FSC. What's crazy is that For some reason he mentioned that my ID said " federal limits apply " (which does not) and insisted that I needed my birth certificate or passport . They didnt even want to let me hold a firearm . Not sure why , but I had all my documents as needed . Not only that , but my buddy too was also with me , we are new to this firearm industry and of course we ask questions. Instead of helping us and guiding us throughout our questions , they seemed rather annoyed and unprofessional . If this was due to our appearance on having a lot of tattoos , I sincerly think that their professionalism and work ethic should not intervene with my form of expression and my culture. I was respectful at all times and was trying to purchase a firearm with ALL exact documents required under the DOJ guidelines. I did not feel welcomed at all and I hear that they have been around for a while , so i'm hoping that others have had excellent customer service with them and that no person should ever feel unwelcomed and go through poor customer service . In the Same day I went to another shop and had no problems purchasing a firearm . All documents I brought with me were all I needed to be eligible for purchasing my first firearm.

Enter Sportsman to do a transfer of ownership. Female at counter looks at me, curbing her enthusiasm, , “ What can we do for you?” Tell her request for transfer of ownership please. Suddenly, she gives a real negative face of negativity and opens the bag. Then she starts with excuses why she’s too busy to do it. ( The store is devoid of customers except me and other person). She yells to her husband to take over. Without even stopping, owner walks past us two and says he’s too busy to do the paperwork. And the two guys behind the counter don’t know how to file the paperwork. He says he may get to us in 3 hours but better to come back on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday before 2 pm. He shakes some receipts in our face and continues back to his office where their infant is playing in a playpen. Mind you, there are no customers in the place. Friend and me look at each other and say, “ f-this, let’s go to Reed’s.” We get to Reed’s and boom, guy at counter is friendly, knowledgeable, and has no problem doing the transfer. So word to the wise. I’ve shopped Sportsman before and never felt they were that great, but bc this was conveniently located for other guy, gave Sportsman’s another chance. But nothing has changed. It’s even worse than past history. Friend, regular customer, also has written them off. So save yourself the agony, avoid this place.

Went there to do a PPT. Immediately upon arrival, the (owners?) wife soured on us when we declared our intentions. She couldn't identify the firearm despite the stamping, original bill of sale, manuals, etc. She proceeded to call her husband over who immediately chastised us for the inconvenience. New employees, wife has to run to the bank, assuming it was their kid in the playpen watching Cocomelon in the archery section.... We immediately left for Reeds Indoor Range who not only were able to help us, but succinctly and politely explain the costs the stores incur when doing a PPT vs new sale. Mind you that Sportsman Supply was empty when we arrived, not one customer in the store to bump us. Perhaps that's attributed to their attitude. Sportsman Supply WAS my go-to store over the years however I will never step foot in the store again. If you value customer service or even being treated as a human being, go somewhere else.

Great family run small business! I know how hard it is to run a small business and these guys crush it! Super nice caring and know their stuff! It can get a bit busy but I'd rather be patient and support a small business. Awesome team. Will come back soon.

Would never deal with them again. Super unprofessional! Horrible customer service and super negative attitude from most of the staff. Very selective as to who they help first. Communication sucked!! When answering the phone don't expect anyone sounding like they are happy to be there much less wanting to help. The owner was super friendly and helpful but he needs to step back from an outsiders prospective and take a good look at his team customer service. Basically if you're not purchasing get to the back of the line hurry up and wait. Yelp requires before posting to choose a star. I have to choose but if they had a negative Star I would have picked it.

AMAZING SERVICE!!!! I lost the lock they gave me when I filled out the background check and they gave me another, plus a free magazine, less than half priced ammo and as a new firearm owner the amount of comfort and confidence I feel after doing business with them makes me excited for my new adventure!
Also knowing I now have a shop in mind who is extremely accommodating and generous from the employees to the manager is a great community to have nearby and be a part of, even without all the fancy experience. You are treated very warmly at this location in San Jose and without fail they make everything very easy to understand and honestly appreciate having caring and hardworking people in this space to guide you through your questions and concerns. They will make you laugh and have happy moments and conversations with you, while still making all of your needs at the shop a huge priority. Again if you go anywhere else, don’t say I didn’t warn you #happyglockowner

If you go anywhere else but this shop for a gun service of any kind you are out of your mind!!! These guys know what they are doing!!!! Especially for someone who is new to the firearm realm, you do not want to be greeted with hostility or intense criticism like other shops in the area. They are superbly complimentary, and so kind hearted here it is incredibly above par. Armando the manager was a joy to go through the paperwork with, obviously they do not have a large staff, so they bounce around to help customers which is understandable! Also I was hurt for cash in the moment: and he took it upon himself to help me out with heavily or half price discounted ammo, locks and mags. So can we say EXCEPTIONAL?!?!?!!!!! Also no wait list, you come in and you feel welcome which is the kind of community you should expect in this area. Everything was fast too also Michael and Phil are super nice and everyone here is funny, and great to talk to, and know how to take/make a joke and it purely be for fun. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE OTHER STORES IN SJ!!!! If you want people who care about your business as much as your safety and well being you go here when you need it. #happyglockowner
