As with all other Safeways in California; this one has the best deals as well. The store is clean, the prices are reasonable (with the only issue being how expensive the Bay Area is), and the staff are nice and sem-professional. One of my favorite go-to grocery franchises

The store removed hand baskets from the entrances; you have to go to customer service counter to get one. Also, now they are playing annoying ads all the time. Choose another location if you can.
UPD: they requested me to change the review, but the baskets are still removed from easy access, and the ads are still blasting from the ceiling.

My husband and I live near the store and have never had any issues until today. I went to the floral department to simply to see if I could get flowers wrapped and I pushed the button for assistance. When someone showed up, her demeanor and approach was very cold and rude. She replied with " What do you want?" I say I was hoping to get some flowers wrapped? Then she looked as if I was an inconvenience to her and she walked away saying, well I don't have anyone here and I don't have anyone available. She said this and walked away from me as if it was no longer her concern or issue. I've NEVER been treated like that EVER!! I was so upset and angry. Then the next thing was the security guard started following my husband and I around the store if we were going to cause trouble or steal!!! We are the customers who were treated UNFAIRLY & UNPROFESSIONALLY. I couldn't believe it. Someone else approached me to assist, and I vented to her about my situation and she acted as if it wasn't her problem either. No apology, no care, no concern about what I went through. Simple replied, " well I'm here." I said " thank you to her for wrapping the flowers" and she didn't reply " you're welcome". I got nothing. I was so extremely upset. I was trying to figure out, " did I do something wrong? We are regulars and I no longer want to be a customer here anymore. I will be shopping other Safeway locations sadly.

Waited for help with money order/transfer. Self-checkout associate helped call Kim for assistance. After 15 minutes Kim never showed up. Cindy attempted to help but had no access to get into the system. Kim was in her office and when asked for help heard her slamming things. Poorest customer service!!

Thanks Chris, I forgot my key chain and credit card somewhere in the store when I shopped today, I was worried, car key, door keys and library cards all in, I freaked out, fortunately Chris helped me find it eventually, very appreciate it

I just wanted to take a moment and recognize Greg Silva from the Drive Up and Go Department who always goes above and beyond to give excellent customer service. He shows the customer how important he or she is to the business. Amazing experience each time. Pleasure doing business with Greg Silva!

I noticed that they recently installed a chair for the employees monitoring the self-checkout area. I'm really glad to know that Safeway is willing to take care of its associates like that.

I was running late and was rushing to get home before the Super Bowl started and remembered that I was supposed to pick up some snacks. Luckily this popped up right on my way home. Got my chips, salsa, cheese, wings etc. Quick in and out since it was mostly empty.

I should have read the reviews before coming here. I waited for a total of 45 minutes, after letting them know what space I was in, for a drive up order of only 5 items. It never came out. I currently have a foot injury and I can't walk, so I just left. Also, there is no option to cancel the order now. Thanks, Safeway.

Just witnessed a grown man panhandling from their own father I thought dude was trying to rob the elder gentlemen Safeway manager did not seem to care and got in my face definitely don't recommend coming to this store

This is the best Safeway ever! The store is clean and the staff is very friendly! The manager was super friendly and helpful! He toook care of me and was the nicest manager I have ever spoken to! He went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience here at this Safeway! I would definitely recommend this location if you are in the area! This experience made it the best grocery store in town!

Very poor customer service sadly very nice store but customer service is extremely lacking I came to customer service to obtain a money order and the manager cleared the call button didn't even acknowledge me and walked away terrible service
