The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a business I am paying for services from. No communication and emails and phone calls go un answered for weeks. Do yourself a favor and find another tax professional/accountant who actually values their clients and responds back in a timely manner.

*** STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE*** Dorothy is the worst Tax Accountant!!! PERIOD. She will NEVER return your calls or respond to your emails no matter how urgent your matter may be. What she charges for her terrible service is a joke and not to mention all the errors she makes! She definitely should not be in business!! Please believe the reviews posted about her and find yourself a reliable/knowledgeable tax accountant.

Seems closed. Building is empty. No forwarding address. I guess if they did your taxes in the past you're hosed

Like the others on here, wish I could give negative Stars!! Dishonest, unprofessional and unethical. I was instructed by Dorothy to bring a check to her office immediately for $500 dollars. I did as told. I needed my taxes done MARCH OF 2020 for my PPP, because my business was affected drastically by Covid 19. I called and called , then I called and called to get my money back! I never received any contact from Dorothy. So today I stopped by the office on Hamilton. Dorothy was very flustered and didn't want to talk about it in front of her employees.!!!!! Ha! She told me she sent me a letter and a check. She tells me that it is not for $500 DOLLARS!!! THIEF !!!!!!! I have no idea what she is charging me for! She never responded to me, and never did my taxes. (In the past 11 months) To take advantage of a small business owner like this is disgusting to me. And it should be to you too! I'm going to call the licensing board or whoever I need to, and report her. If you need a license to be a tax preparer she should have her's revoked.

We have always had good service at Bay Area Tax. Dorothy has always been professional and gives us good tax advice when planning for the following year. Turn around of tax prep is quick. We have recommended her to friends and family.

Mindy has prepared my taxes since the mid-1980’s! I don’t know what I’d do without her! She even did my taxes when I lived in the Midwest! She’s the BEST! 100% HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Believe the reviews. This place is unprofessional and inept. So rude and so many mistakes on our return. We would never have worked with them because of their yelp rating, but our tax guy sold his business to them when he retired. This isn't just an angry customer. I truly want to warn people to not work with them.

It's unfortunate Ted retired, but you cannot imagine what it was like watching Dorothy be unprofessional. Phone calls not returned, emails not acknowledged, but especially money up front. Please read before going to this business.
