I have brought several pieces, through the years; two were early 1830’s hall table and original, hand scraped Boston Rocker. Broken spindles, or none at all and leg have been repaired and replaced as perfect matches. The work is impeccable!

I have had two pieces refinished by Dan. I was extremely pleased with how they turned out. One was a wooden swing well over a 100 years old, I wanted to convert it to a side table. Dans work was simply over the top amazing. I cannot say enough about his attention to detail and his work quality.

Would give 10 stars if I could. Dan Livingston is a master of his trade and his work is a labor of love. In addition to providing outstanding service, Dan loves to teach and has deep knowledge of early 20th century furnishings. He beautifully restored our early 20th century double sided writing desk that was owned by my great grandfather. It was scratched and discolored and now is without a blemish. Also restored an antique chair and antique upright desk. Time to visit at his shop to picking up the furniture was less than a week and he delivered the restored pieces in about another two weeks. It seems to me that Dan could be a museum curator but finds what he does more fun.

I had a number of pieces of furniture damaged in a move. The insurance assessor indicated the pieces could not be repaired. In search of replacement furniture, stores indicated they did not have matching pieces but referred me to livingston & sons. Livingston & Sons were able to repair my furniture and restore it like new. I was very happy with the outcome and happy I could keep my original furniture.

Although I've never met the man, he arrives very early in the morning (haha), I have talked to him several times. His pleasant phone manner is actually surpassed by his incredible talent and workmanship. I got his name from John Gibb? I think who is no longer doing table top refinishing and thank God I did!! We are moving and I had a nice pine table and leaf with a lot of scratches on top, rings from water bottles (karley) and wear and tear. Got it back today and it's absolutely gorgeous. He refinished the top and reconditioned the legs and sides. Looks amazing!!!! So happy with how it turned out!! Thank you Dan. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING FURNITURE REFINISHING!!

Dan Livingston and Jose refinished a 100+ year old cherry dining table for us and made it magnificent again. DO NOT hesitate to have them look at anything you need refinished or repaired. They are a pleasure to work with, reasonably priced and do the work in a very reasonable amount of time. Thank you Dan and Jose!!

They did a great job of putting my Howard Miller wall clock back together after it fell off the wall. You would never know that the front was pretty much shattered when they were done with it.

Thank you so much for making my grandfathers chair look brand new. It was from the late 1800's. They were very helpful, professional, polite and reasonable. You made me happy!!

The owner is PHENOMENAL he took one look at the table piece my grandfather and I brought in and gave us a price (which was NOT expensive) brought it into his shop and went to work on it. He even took the time to joke around with my old man before we left. I recommend this company for any furniture repairs!

I had some refinishing done, and I had to think about what tips would be useful to fellow Yelpers. Ok here's the deal: the craftsmanship is very good, and the prices are reasonable. I think you will be pleased with the outcome, provided that you don't expect this is Nordstrom's in terms of service. Just remember that you are there to get the work done well at a good price. Don't expect: friendly greeting, to be called when your piece is done, any kind of chit chat. You may even feel that they are being downright rude. Just ignore that --they are old school woodworkers. I'd say, support your local craftsman and go to the mall if you want someone to treat you like a customer. My work was very good and they seem like salt of the earth folks. The older fellow is actually hard of hearing.
