I've been consistently impressed by the service at this Ace, but Diana's help today pushed my to put up a review. above and beyond helpful and nice. surprisingly this Ace often beats the Home Depot down the street for pricing.i always go here first even though it's smaller.

I received the best customer service from the twoSales ladies working at the cash register. They spent a lot of time with me helping to find a wheelbarrow that I was looking for. They helped me to not only order it but get it delivered to my house. I also enjoyed their great personalities and friendliness they showed me. They even called me to let me know the delivery was coming to my house soon. It's been a great experience for me.

Everything is locked up. EDIT: I go to plenty of stores in the area that do not lock up items. I go to a physical store for convenience not to be treated like a criminal. Don't worry I got everything at Home Depot. You lost a customer.

Excellent customer service if you need help someone is always there to help you. When I go there I'm in and out very quickly and buy what I need. There's hardly no waiting in line. The store is always clean. They are very friendly.

I have an old watch that needed a new battery. I really didn't wanna have to go to a watch repair shop over something so simple. Today I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and was helped immediately by Ryan. He was able to take the watch apart and find the battery really fast. I was really impressed with his skills and his customer service. He was super professional and super patient with me as I had to make a couple of phone calls and get the picture of the battery. Ryan seem to be the employee to go to if you need help because when I got there he was just finishing with a customer and when I left, he was helping another customer. Per the conversations I heard he's extremely knowledgeable and I hope this review gets to the right person to see how amazing this employee is.

Andrew L took my order of 10 bags of top soil, 3 bags of potting soil and 5 bags of manure with efficiency and courtesy. Then, he helped load the carts and assisted in putting them all into the truck bed. And he did it all with kindness and charm.

I have lived part time in San Jose and part time in LA for over a decade. I came when the store first opened because I had redoing some cabinet hardware around my parents house. I was eager to check out the new store! ,However, I struggled to find what I needed and no one asked if I needed help. I had to track down employees and when I did, they didn't know what I was talking about. After I showed them a picture they were able to get me to the right isle (which I had already scoured) but there wasn't anything appropriate. I ended up buying more than I needed from Amazon. Then, I came back from being to my apartment in LA to help my Dad recover from surgery. The interior of my apartment building in LA had just been remodeled & I had just gotten new keys for my apartment door. I always had great experience with keys In 20yrs we had never had a bad key made from the Curtner store. So, I went to the Bascom Ace to get my keys made. That time, I was greeted multiple times and helped immediately. The woman who made 2 sets of 1 key, was incredibly friendly & helpful BUT I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach by the way she kept filing one of the keys. So, I explained my situation & asked if the keys didn't work, even though I wouldn't be back until the summer, if they would fix it for me. The person checking me out, the lady who made my keys and another person at the counter all assured me that even though there was a 30day return policy, that fixing it would be possible. So, I just went into the store to see about getting my key fixed. I am an understanding person & was concerned that not having my receipt was going to be an issue. Since that was my responsibility, I was prepared to leave if it was necessary because I am a person with great integrity & demanding I be the exception to the rule all these months later seemed entitled behavior that I deplore. Even though I was told it would be taken care of and most people would feel entitled because of that. That's just not worth it in my opinion because everyone is just trying to do their jobs. However, as I started to explain my situation, the woman seemed to judge me. She became obviously skeptical of my "story" when I said that one key worked and one didn't work... and that it was for my apartment in LA. She looked at my hands, while I was standing a few feet away, that had the keys in my hand on a keychain with other keys.Then, she interrupted me before I could even finish explaining my situation and said that they don't even have that kind of key there.I was in absolute shock. I couldn't believe she was accusing me of LYING about getting my keys made here. Normally, I think this kind of an issue over a receipt/too much time would be rather petty to hold against a business. However, I just can't remember another time anything like that has ever happened to me. I'm just beyond disappointed in my experience here. I told her that I couldn't believe she was accusing me of lying about getting my keys made there. I said it was close to the store opening, so maybe they don't carry them anymore BUT there's only 1 store here I got keys made at this year & it was this one. I started shaking and became visibly physically shook. I said "maybe you don't carry them now but you did. I only got copies of my keys made at one store & this was it." I asked if they kept a copy of the purchase history with our membership because I always use that at Ace. That would prove my truthfulness. At least she apologized when I expressed my hurt & shock at her accusation of me lying about it. But, she was really disrespectful the whole time. But, I left without buying the other things on my list for Ace. I was fully prepared to buy up to $200 worth of household repair items, gardening tools, cleaning supplies and soaps. Of course if they had it all in stock. But, after this experience, we will stick with the Curtner store which has never in over 20yrs made keys that don't

About 6 months ago I went to return a garbage disposal. And the Fat old lady at the counter first goes on about the original box. And it can't be returned because no original box. I even had the receipt from one mont earlier. Fast forward to today this man came up to the counter with a garden hose that needed to be returned. She went into the same line. You need toe original box. This lady's house must be stacked to the ceiling with the boxes of stuff she has bought because that's what people do I guess. Any way her customer service skills are absent and it has ruined the reputation of this store. I urge you to go to another ace all the others in the area are very helpful.

Very proactive team. I was shopping for paints and while checking out, the clerk asked if it needed to be mixed. I wasn’t sure what that meant but requested it be made as ready-to-use as possible. I really appreciate that he asked, otherwise I’d be making an Adriana’s trip.

After spending a fortune on soil and mulch from a nearby nursery I was delighted to discover Ace carries both items! True, not as much selection but it was a quick & easy transaction, and much cheaper. Also the young man loaded the packages in my trunk.
