This review is for the terrific, talented and tireless Terry Gordon! We have now bought two houses and had a number of refinances but nobody has really sat down and taken the time to educate us on the intricacies of securing the best mortgage like Terry has. He explained the federal law to us, the Dodd Frank act and how that played into our scenario. He explained how he works his magic and wizardry to lock in a rate for his clients at just the right time. He took the time to advise of possible future credit pitfalls and how to avoid them so as to not bust the deal before close. I particularly appreciate this because as a lawyer I do a lot of protecting clients against future what ifs and I think it is almost a lost art for people providing services to do this. This is what Terry did. He crunched numbers with us. He called us within a half hour of first being referred to him, therefore the epitome of prompt. He drafted applications for us so we would not have to. He spent hours explaining things to us and more hours providing us numerous spreadsheets of different scenarios. Not once in all our house buying experience have we ever encountered such information and service. Thankful to have been referred to him and I feel the need to share this information with others looking for the same absolute best of the best quality of service. Thank you Terry! Dealing with two professionals, Terry and Mel, was a very positive experience. They are efficient, friendly, and treat clients with courtesy and deal with them as individuals encouraging their feedback. The loan was completed in less time than I expected and if I need future assistance I will definitely return to First Funding.

2nd time user here. Terry and Melody are absolutely the best mortgage brokers in the area. The 30 years experience they have is clear from the get go. During our first time thru the process they were incredibly helpful and willing to answer any question we had has new home buyers. Walked us thru step by step making sure we were comfortable with the process. The second time thru they delivered once again. They bent over backwards to provide us different options based on different price points we were looking at. They make the process so easy. Had absolutely positive experiences with them. I recommend them to everyone I know who is looking to purchase a home.

3rd Time user. Had a vacation condo in Palm Springs that foreclosed 4 years ago due to the economy. So refinancing my primary residence by any means was a difficult negotiation. Terry through diligent research found the ruling to allow me to proceed. It wasn't easy. A lot of letter writing and phone calls by Terry produced excellent results. Terry & Gladys were a great team to work with, probably the best. I am a first time home buyer and he was very thorough, patient and walked me through all of my questions and did not hesitate to go above and offer me info I had not even thought of. He loves what he does and it reflects in his level of customer service. Even my real estate agent commented on how on it Terry was with the entire process. Terry gets back to you immediate any time of the day night morning weekend you name it. He made the house buying process seem so easy, I will definitely recommend him to anyone.

Terry came recommended to us by our real estate agent after having a couple of lackluster experiences with other mortgage brokers. My husband and I were motivated to buy our first home here in California, but still weren't positive what we could afford and what our options were. After our first meeting with Terry we were practically giddy about the fact that we so clearly understood our options. He is the absolute master of clear and concise spreadsheets, which is exactly what we were looking for. He went over the pros and cons of the interest rates we could choose, and took into account the tax implications of each, which made a big difference in our decision (and was something neither other brokers we saw laid out for us). We of course had many, many questions along the way and Terry (and his wonderful assistant, Gladys) was incredibly responsive, even while on vacation. When we had an offer accepted, he was quick to get everything in order and stayed on top of every tiny detail to make sure there were no hiccups along the way. I had co-signed on another home loan for a family member who was thinking of refinancing and he took the time to sort through his finances and recommend a refinance plan, which was way above and beyond what we expected of him. We couldn't recommend Terry enough. He made the process of getting a home loan as smooth as it could be and we will definitely be back when we decide to refinance or buy a new home down the road. *Update: We just refinanced our home with Terry and had another great experience. He was again up front and clear with us about all of our options and everything went smoothly in the process. Will look forward to working with him once again when we are ready to buy another home.

My husband and I first meet Terry about 5 years ago when he helped us through the process of buying our first home- a townhouse with and FHA loan. He was absolutely wonderful through the process. Since then we have referred several friends to him and they have all been extremely happy with his professionalism and high standards. Recently we sold our townhouse and purchased a new home. Again, Terry went above and beyond for us. He wrote a custom letter to the seller for each offer we made to help increase our chances of offer acceptance. He continued to impress us and our agent all the way through the process. Terry took the time to explain things when we had questions. He never seemed brief or put out by our many questions. He explained everything to us so that we truly understood. He really sets the bar! We would highly recommend him to anyone!

I don't know if it was the right time to buy, but I do know it was the right time to meet Terry Gordon of First Funding in Campbell, California. My wife and I purchased our first home and just finished unpacking the last few boxes. When we first met Terry in December of 2012, we weren't credit worthy of locking in the best rate, nor did we have a down payment sizable enough to secure the mortgage option we desired. The initial consultation from Terry was essentially a financial literacy workshop on mortgage loan options. We walked away with colorful spreadsheets of loan options and a plan to increase our down payment as well as credit scores in order to reach our targeted mortgage. Although we weren't in the position to buy, Terry never dismissed us or pressured us to feel obligated to his loan office. My wife and I left Terry's office with confidence and the motivation to stay on course. We continued checking in with Terry who was never too busy for us. He has an outstanding team in his office where we received professional and courteous service. Once we were in the stage of submitting offers and suddenly found ourselves in escrow, Terry, Gladys, and the rest of his staff took care of the majority of leg work necessary to meet deadlines from the various agencies requiring documents. Thanks to Terry, his office team, and our amazing realtor we locked in a rate better than we expected and a beautiful home for our family.

Terry provided top service and went above and beyond. He helped me finance my first home purchase and I could not be happier with his service. We just purchased our second home and Terry was our hero (and Gladys too)! We were so impressed with his knowledge and ability to communicate to us the various loan options while keeping our loan within a monthly payment he said we could afford. He also attended the escrow signing, going above and beyond the usual loan folks, communicating to our realtors the loan details. I recommend Terry to everyone who wants a straight ahead, knowledgeable broker who really knows his stuff and cares about his clients! TERRY ROCKS!!!!

This review is long over due. My husband and I were first time buyers when we started working with Terry. We had already been looking for 2 years when we met him. We met with several brokers prior to him. One broker literally told "buy anything in this market, doesn't matter where, just get in." Really? It would only make sense to me that if I have to live there I'm going to want to be there. I don't want to be scared to go home. Another broker told us if we were still looking at buying under FHA he would not help us because he would not make enough for him to spend his time on us. Terry was great first time we met he assured us he would get it done and be there for us. He helped us understand different options of putting in our offers and breaking down what things would look like on paper depending on how we closed. Him and his staff are always available for help. Everyone is very nice. When we needed an approval letter for an offer there was never a delay. We've been in our new house about 7 months. And from the day we closed Terry said if we need anything not to hesitate to email or call him. I have taken advantage of this with some tax stuff that has come in the mail and he has never hesitated to email me back with in a couple minutes of my email including some I send late at night. I have sent his card to everyone i know shopping for a home and highly highly recommend working with Terry.
