On June 13, my wife's 2019 Mini Cooper was rear ended on hwy 17 at the Stevens creek exit. We had it towed to Dell Auto Body. We had an estimate in two days. And approval from our insurance co. in three days. Dell got on as soon as they had the go ahead from out insurance co. . Carlos and Rephael kept us informed of the progress weekly. Due to parts shortage it took longer than expected buy but when we got it back it looked like new. PERFECT parts fit and paint match. Wife is very happy and when the wife is happy I'm happy.. Hopefully we won't need their service again but if we do, we're going back to DELL.

Carlos and his staff at Dell Auto Group took great care in the work they performed on my air cooled 911.Carlos is extremely patient, pleasant and willing to talk about the job being performed. He takes into consideration different plans of attack and is conscientious, as to the best way to repair a vehicle.Josh P

This is an update to my review that Carlos Costa, of DELL AUTO GROUP, bullied me into deleting. I felt assaulted and stripped of my voice. I was bullied into compromising my integrity. As a woman who worked in Auto Body shops, as an Estimator, for years; I was appalled at what he did to me. I wrote an honest and strictly factual Yelp review, on the horrible experience we had with Dell Auto Body Group, and Carlos, told my fiance that unless I removed my review; they wouldn't work on his car again. WHY would we want an auto body shop, that lies to your face, takes double the time to "repair" your car, does shoddy paint work and misses items on their estimate; to repair our car again? It's fairly simple... Because my fiance has an Aston Martin and only a few auto body shops are authorized to work on them; (unfortunate, but true). So, bc of this, he was set to take the car in to Dell, again. The insurance company had already sent the check for repairs to Dell, but Carlos refused to work on the car until I took down my review. So, after many arguments with my fiance and many sleepless nights; I removed it. Luckily, I was able to retrieve my original review and here it is.... Only giving this body shop a 1, bc I can't give it a zero. My BF has taken his car here before, but only bc they are the ONLY shop in the area, approved to repair Aston Martins. Every time he has ever taken his car there, there has been an issue. Whether it was fit-up or paint match; you ALWAYS have to bring the car back in. Another huge issue is Carlos. To say that he is dishonest, is to be too kind. I worked as a Auto Damage Estimator for approximately 15 years. Both on the insurance side and directly inside body shops. I know all of the excuses, lies and put offs ever used and Carlos uses all of them. This last time, the car sat for over a week at a time, at least twice, without being touched. Carlos said that if the car wasn't ready by a certain date, that he would get my BF a car rental. The car wasn't ready and he reneged on the offer completely. The car was in the shop for months. We asked for a final copy of the estimate and never received it. When we did get the car back, the gas door catch still didn't work. Carlos said that that wasn't part of the accident, which it clearly was and also said that he hadn't been told about it. He then said he would put in a supplement with the insurance company, to get the part fixed. Over a week later, he still hadn't. He said he would talk to the dealer about it, he never did. Then when we decided to go in and get it and take matters into our own hands, all of a certain; Carlos tells my BF that he had one of the guys fix it on his dime??! Riiiight. UPDATE: WELL, AS OF 2021, Aston Martin has a TERRIFIC Auto Body Shop on their list of RECOMMENDED AND AUTOTIZED shops! Brooks Automotive in Fremont! Ric brought his car in to their shop and the repairs were EXCELLENT. The paint was an exact and seamless match. The repairs were professional and precise. Ric was treated with respect and valued as a customer. Finally, a body shop with integrity! *What shop wasn't recommended? Yep. You guessed it! Karma.

My 1980's Porsche was hit by another car, and several local body shops did not want to repair it because the parts would be hard to find and the work would be too expensive. Carlos was nice and took on the job, knowing that I would pay a little bit because the other car's insurance was unlikely to pay the full amount needed. To make a long story short, I helped Carlos find the old parts, but there were a few parts that were available new. The replacement panel got welded into place, and looks seamless. The paint is excellent. It took about 2-3 months, and in the end, the bill was only a few hundred dollars above what the other car's insurance paid. The car drives and looks great, and even I cannot tell where the replacement body panel was attached. I recommend Dell Auto Body, but talk with Carlos personally to get to know the shop, before you talk with others in the shop. Carlos is really friendly.

We will be taking to Aston Martin about their chose of body shops. There are plenty around that can and will do a better job.

My family and I have been very satisfied Dell Auto Body customers for more than 20 years, and when my car was damaged and needed a new bumper, I asked Mike and Carlos Costa at Dell Auto Body to make the repairs. As has been the case every time we visit Dell Auto Body, we received first-class customer service: My bumper has been replaced, the work was perfect, and once again, my car looks brand-new. You'll not find a more professional, courteous, and friendly group of people to work with. Thanks to Mike and Carlos for turning my auto accident into a positive experience!

Stay away from Dell Auto Body, aka, Dell Exotic Autoworks, at all costs. As you can see from Sean P.'s review of 12/11/18, this guy will scam you with storage fees if you do not have him do the work. I had him give me an estimate for some damage to my Sea Doo and when his estimate came in $2,200 too high I told him I was going to get a second estimate. At that time he wanted $500 for the estimate and $1,620 for storage fees. I had to go to the Bureau of Automotive Repair to get the storage fees back. Make sure you check his license before you even consider using his services.

I would advise anyone who is looking for a shop to not give this man any of your business.

As most of you already know, it's EXTREMELY difficult to find a high quality auto body shop. I've been burned in the past with sub par work (poor prep work, uneven paint, orange peal, numerous imprecations in the clear coat). I have to say I'm blown away by the quality and attention to detail on the parts I had painted. I didn't even have the car there (just the parts) and the paint match is nearly spot on. It's a 3 stage pearl white, which is difficult to get right. If you're willing to pay top dollar and have the job done right the first time this is the place to go. Mike is friendly and their communication is very good. I will be going here from now on for all my auto body needs!

General comment - looking at the reviews on Yelp for Dell and it is obvious that the people who want quality repairs appreciate quality and customers who pay peanuts and expect the world are never satisfied and that there is always another side to their story. Bottom line on Dell - they warranty their work and are by far the best collision repair facility in Silicon Valley.
