I had an addiction to alcohol . Someone 3rd party suggested this place and without doing any research I blindly walked into this trap. Within 48 hours I saw 5 people walk away from this place blaming one man .. the crackhead black drummer

Your store is never open. Your site says you’re open now I’ve been up three times this week and you’re not open it gets a little annoying .

I discovered U-Turn for Christ as a thrift store so I am doing a review as a thrift store only although I am aware of what their mission is.The only negative opinion I have about this thrift store is items are a little disorganized. Most times only 1 person is at the store to watch the register so it's understandable. This place has a good variety of items, from furniture to trinkets to exercise equipment. Being close to Tahoe I saw many skis and snowboards. There are also clothing, household items, tools, electronics, building material, and even appliances. I have seen brand new items here. And best of all, they sell for pennies on a dollar.

I spoke with a few of the KINDEST gentleman to arrange a donation pickup. We are cleaning out my elderly grandmothers house and had a garage worth of just stuff that needed to go somewhere that needed it. I contacted UTurn with a recommendation from my aunt who is involved in Calvary chapel and they where super responsive, super helpful, and so so kind. They took majority of our donations and where prompt with pickup time. I spoke with Johnny and I believe Eric. All interactions where great and I fully recommend doing business with this organization

I attended in 2017. God brought my mom home sudden and by surprise after I left U-Turn. Because of U-Turn my mother got to see my life change before she died. I had new dreams, new life goals, new aspirations, found Gods intent in my life, and my parents were proud. Jesus cleaned up my life. I am always very happy, but I found it is possible to wake up everyday in shock with how happy my life can be. I didn't just have regular joy; but really really awesome joy, and purpose. Serving in the military, seeing brothers I served with commit suicide, living in third world countries, and every other trial or difficulty I had been through in my life, none compared to the tormenting and painful 4 months that followed my mom's death. The only reassuring thing in my grief was knowing God changed me and my life for a reason, he showed me what my job was supposed to be, and showed me what true happiness was. After my time at U-Turn was finished, somehow, the program was still helping me through the grief process, because of my newfound joy and purpose in life. Even 3 years later, I am more happy than I have ever been. My money and time spent there is the best life investment I have ever made. God used Pastor Jeremy and Mrs. S to give me so much. U-Turn is awesome. Jesus used U-Turn to come into my life and change it.

While I was visiting my mother-in-law she had asked about a dish set and the lady behind the counter told us that it was $10, I grabbed the dishes and brought it up to the counter cuz I was going to buy it for my mother-in-law. When I reach the counter she told me that it was $20. We decided not to purchase them and left. Later my mother-in-law had gone back and some other lady asked about the same dishes. The lady at the counter told her $15, she decided not to purchase but my mother-in-law kind of wanted them so she brought them up to the counter where the lady told her $40. I just have one question, WHAT!? Needless to say my mother-in-law did not purchase them and we will never go back.

Wonder how long they keep things. Father of one of my kids committed suicide and they donated all his belongings left after a sale. Was hoping to find something of remembrance if at all possible.

I met my husband while he was serving in the ministry and have had the opportunity to see what it did for him and for many other men's lives to be changed. I have seen relationships restored, families reunited, and individuals flourish and go on to serve, becoming a part of something bigger than themselves. This ministry can truly make the selfish selfless as these men are given structure and a clear path on their walk with the Lord, but it's not without diligent work on everyone's part.

Been shopping here for 18 years. I love the selection, prices are like a thrift store should be. The biggest plus is it's for a great cause. They give much back to our community.
