I challenge any lover of Bordeaux varietals to try Bumgarner’s Cuvée rouge. It is an EXTREMELY smooth wine with a great body & rich texture. The finish transitions extremely well. I don’t know if I can even remember anything to compare this to, its not complex at all but offers a full body and smooth finish. It is a sort of simplistic elegance that finishes perfectly. This wine is straight perfection and one of the best local wines we’ve experienced between Amador and El Dorado County. I love the boutique vibe and the owners are hands on and really amazing people. The whole experience was like a breath of fresh air and the wine my God. It’s really good. We found a new local favorite for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed the abundant fig tree that we got to sit under while sipping our wine/cider. They were very hospitable and welcoming when we arrived, and we got to sit in a beautiful shaded area which was nice:) will definitely be back!

One of the best wineries in Apple Hill! Great customer service! Great variety and inside/outside seating options! We are wine club members and it's such a great deal, plus two locations to try and lots of fun events during the year.

Stumbled upon this spot and by the 4th visit we became members. All the staff are very friendly and joys to talk with. Friday night pizza and live music is a great way to end the work week. We love to get the table under the beautiful fog trees. We love their ciders as much as their wines. Thank you ladies!

This place is a gem! Jennifer Bumgarner was so helpful from beginning to end of our visit! She responded to my emails promptly, prior to the event. She took my reservation and immediately changed it when I asked for her assistance. In person, Jennifer is so kind, friendly and just as helpful! She even checked up on us at the end of the night to see how everything was. The music by Vogel and Cain was so relaxing- a beautiful singing voice and a very talented duo! Definitely a wonderful way to end the work week! The pizza was delicious with fresh-tasting ingredients. The red wine was rich and bold- it paired well with the mouthwatering pizza! We will be back for sure! Thank you, Jennifer and the staff at Bumgarner Winery! Highly recommend! 5/5!

This place is in a little compound of wine tasting rooms and a brewery. It's really cute and would be nice to visit all of the different ones. This place has a nice tasting room as well as a large patio with tables. We did the full tasting which has 7 wines. They make a wide variety of wines with grapes all grown in the region. We particularly liked the Viognier and the Tempranillo. Everything was really good though. They also make ciders, which were equally fantastic. I like that they have reusable pop top bottles for wine and cider you can bring back to get filled. I would definitely come back!

Don't give this place your business. They are bluntly racist. Came here with extended family and couldn't even get acknowledged. They took three other groups that came after us and we didn't even get a "hello" when he was near us. We left without having been spoken to. Please find another place to support.

Favorite place for ciders. Many different types in redeemable/refillable bottles. Also some great wines in traditional format and refillable.
