It's really frustrating that they won't update their current open hours. We've tried 3 different times this season to go and pick apples and get my husband their cinnamon sauce that he loves, and they're closed every time even though their Google and phone recording say they will be open. It doesn't take much to update those kinds of things.

We had such an incredible experience at Denver Dan's! I'd never gone apple picking before, but they made it easy with provided pails and a top down map of the farm with each part of the orchard labeled so we knew exactly what we were picking. The man there was so nice and helped us choose which apples to go out and pick based on what we wanted to make with them. It seemed like we may have gotten there too early for some of the trees (we were there in late September), but we managed to pick two buckets of gravenstein, gala, and fuji apples that made the most delicious pies! We'll definitely be back for more!

Dan and Staff are Super friendly and helpful. We had a fun time picking apples. We will be back next month for more. Helpful tip: Wear long pants to avoid the weeds and tall grass.

Very friendly, dog friendly, family friendly, and best place to pick apples. Wide variety of apples to choose from and you can sample as you go! I'm definitely coming back next year. We were turned away at other places to pick apples because we had a dog.

We went on a Thursday which was great because there weren't any other people there. We did the pick your own apples. They have a huge property so plenty of walking and variety of apples to choose from. The apples were delicious and Ernie who works there (Dan's nephew) was really friendly!

Read about this place from an online article. So glad I decided to visit this place with my family. Had great fun picking apples. There were so many apples this year they just kept falling to the ground! Plenty of different types too. Highly suggest calling them before going. Sept - Oct is apple season. Come here early (by 10am) to experience less crowds. It's Dan's nephew who is running the place now. He was very welcoming and showed us the map of the farm. Don't think twice, just go for it!

I haven't been to Apple Hill in over a decade and didn't know how big it was until this last visit. We intentionally made a day of it so we started at High Hill and went to various spots based on recommendations.Denver Dan was on our list as we were told that had the best crisps there, so we stopped by about midway through our visit. We were the only people there at Denver Dan's when we stopped in and were greeted by the gentleman working there. We looked around at everything for a bit and eventually made our way back to the refrigerated area. Where the apples pies and crisps were located, and eventually decided to get a small blackberry& apple crisp...which was AMAZING!!! We were bummed that we didn't get the larger one but it just gives us a reason to go back soon, lol. Before leaving we talked to the guy working there about the farm and various apples there, and we left us pick out a couple apples for free for each of us. And we offered to core and peel them for us, which turned the apples into this delicious accordion/slinky type of product.OVERALL: Definitely one of the smaller games as far as what people may come here for. But staff here was very friendly and the crisps here are a MUST try! Definitely coming back again.

Love this gem of an Apple Farm. My family and I have been coming to Denver Dans for the past 10+ years it seems now. We make it a tradition every year to pick up some of their cobblers and we grab our apple cider too. They do offer other goodies like applesauce. It's a nice little stop. There is a bench and table you can sit at to enjoy some snacks or lunch if you brought some with you. We tend to make it a whole day thing ourselves. It can get busy at times but for the most part it's a nice quiet spot. The people running it are always super friendly, talkative and helpful. It's great they have a binder with some history you can read about the farm. Last visit my little one got to pick an apple from the large bin for free to snack on. They peeled it and sliced it on the apple peeler for him. Was a super sweet gesture and my little guy was so excited watching it and then getting to eat it. Wish I had more photos to post, Have to make sure to post more when we visit again. See you all next year!

We picked apples here in past. No u-pick for the 2022 because of the late snow earlier in the year.

The other apple farms were pretty busy. So we decided to drive to Denver Dan’s further away from the crowds.Soo worth it! The man who helped, might of been Dan :), was so sweet with our toddler and showed him the apple slicer. He cut up an apple for us and also gave us a free bag of caramel corn! We bought an apple crisp and some cider as well. Definitely coming back to visit again!

This is a wonderful u-pick farm and the owner (I believe it's the owner) is an amazing man who wants to ensure everyone has a wonderful time! Our son was upset the u-pick wasn't open this year due to the April frost and he took the time to peel an apple with his spiral slicer to let him hold the apple on his thumb. We come here every year and even with the unfortunate frost event for all apple farmers it was still an enjoyable trip and we'll be back next year!
