Mr. Stern, the owner, has integrity, he is the best mechanic, at the least, in all of El Dorado County. He treats every customer with respect and delivers honest work. This is the shop to visit when your ride is letting you down. 5 stars all day long!

We recently moved into a new office and noticed this shop right behind us. Needing a regular place to maintain/repair the fleet for our company we called them due to convenience. So glad we did! Tom has been so fair and honest on every bit of work he's done for us. He also helped take care of a small issue on my personal car which was very appreciated. Would recommend them, especially since they are a small family owned business!

I pick up motor cycle parts across from them once a year, these guys are d******* I was parking and this old guy threw his dogs ball in the next spot over to me wile I was pulling in. And when I picked up my part I was about to leave the parking lot, the owner and the worker with the dog was mean mugging me, these guys have there heads up there A** and they where just sitting the whole time so if you wonder why your vehicle is taking soo long they are to Busy shoving there Noses Up Peoples A** H*****

I can not say enough about Tom and this shop... Not only did he save me several hundred dollars... he is nice, and stands by his work.. I have been working on cars for over 40 years and my grandpa owned a shop for close to 50 years. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that was unsure about cars and wanted honesty!Have my sisters car in this shop now.. Tom is 2 for 2 .. His willingness to help and try and find you the best prices... One of the most upstanding shop owners I have ever dealt with!

We've been to see Tom a few times for our truck. He called and let us know what exactly the problem was and our cost. He has the work done and vehicle ready in a timely manner. He's honest and straightforward. I won't go anywhere else!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Value I can not say enough about Tom and this shop... Not only did he save me several hundred dollars... he is nice, and stands by his work.. I have been working on cars for over 40 years and my grandpa owned a shop for close to 50 years. Our shop has since closed down and I do not have a lift or tools to do certain jobs. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that was unsure about cars and wanted honesty! He fixed the AC on my Honda CRV... Now I have my sisters car in this shop now.. Tom is 2 for 2 .. His willingness to help and try and find you the best prices... One of the most upstanding shop owners I have ever dealt with! Trust me when I say... give him a shot first... I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

They have always had a reputation of being arrogant and passing on oil changes and such, but last night their AAA service would not tow my car because it isn't being towed to their shop; stating that it could not be towed at night to a closed shop. I told them that the owner was on the shop premises , but the tow truck driver indignantly refused. I called AAA the next morning and Stern's told them that they didn't tow vehicles without someone being at the vehicle when they arrived. Thats an absolute lie as the truck was in my driveway and I was at home waiting for them. As I said they have always been arrogant and over priced, but when a new owner bought into the company I expected it to become the GO TOO shop in this small town; instead they are the same company they have always been. Now they seem to be just an overpriced bunch of grease monkeys

Over charged on parts.. 2... 4 times.. Really disappointed... Labor charges exaggerated... I figure I paid $400 .. $500 more than I should have... Would give Zero Stars if I could...
