I typically go to Shady Oaks or Rocklin for Disc Golf, but I randomly discovered this course pop-up on Google Maps and decided to check it out. I didn't know I would have to pay for parking to enter though. That was a surprise. The Cost was only $3 for parking, but I wasn't planning on a charge. The walk from the parking lot to the course is about 1/3 of a mile. The course is hidden and down below the Lake. The course had many challenging baskets with a bunch of obstacles. I had a ton of fun and would recommend anyone to check it out.

Great little disc shop at Cameron Park Lake. They have a good selection of discs, probably every manufacturer out there. 90% of the discs are outside in file folder fashion in long trays underneath the roof of the building. The disc prices are great, better than I'm used to from other shops in town. It appears to be a family that runs the shop, they are all super friendly, and knowledgeable. I told the gentleman I wanted a similar disc to an Innova Leopard, and he directed me to a couple of discs from other manufacturers, and then let me throw them. That never happens, I usually buy a disc and hope for the best. The only bad part is that it costs $3 to get into the park.

Quickly... This is a fun course! They move the pins weekly. They have great infocards at the tee. They have some wild pins! Some short technical pars and a few distance. Longley... You gotta stop by the pro shop. That's a disc treasure trove! Otherwise, it's like a mile hike to start the course. Then it is really a lot of fun! They have a couple of practice pins to toss at, one near the pro shop and one right next to the gate to enter the course. The pins move weekly...so it was a bit challenging for my first time here, cause I didn't know if 17 was a 250 or a 540, for example) However, it was a lot of fun! Most of the course is shaded, except the longer ones. Some of the pins have some really crazy placements, which I think is fun. Watch out for the Poison oak, I've been told, I didn't see any today, but I believe the locals. Good tees! Fun Pins! Give it a shot! Thanks CSD for getting that in!

Played in the Trilogy Challenge Bounty 2020 tournament for my first disc golf tournament ever and I had a amazing experience!
Tournament was well run and organized. Check in was smooth and organizers provided markers, snacks, hand sanitizers. Minimal to no waiting in between holes. Water (cold) stations still almost 3-4 holes with volunteers making sure we were hydrated.
Course itself was very fun and challenging with good mix of longer drive holes, hazard avoid obstacles, narrow tee offs (not sure if using correct terms). And then minimal walking between holes yay. And also very shaded with trees double yay.
Anyways had a lovely conversation with the organizer, Sharon, at the end. She’s very passionate about disc golf and it’s growth at all levels, beginners and youth. And cares about developing and expanding courses appropriately around the area and beyond, making sure courses are maintained and enjoyed by the public.
Will def look for more tournaments run by el dorado disc sports and worth the almost 2 hour drive for this kind of high quality tournament!
