Friendly Price Gouging . I Took my X5 in for check engine light. They charged me almost $300 just for the diagnostic and a verbal estimate for repair that seemed really high for the recommended repair. I think they thought I would just go ahead and have them do the work, but I took the X5 back the same day saying I wanted to check around. I was in a hurry when I picked my car up and just assumed a written repair quote was in the stack of papers I was handed when I payed the diagnostic fee. When I got home I saw that there was no written estimate included… just a diagnostic read out of the codes they checked. So I called and got the owner and I asked him if he could email me a written estimate. He responded like that was an odd thing to ask for…that he had give me the quote…and what exactly more did I want. Really? So I said I wanted a breakdown of the parts needed, their price, the number of labor hours and the cost of labor per hour…. You know… a standard written estimate! Instead of saying “ of course, I can send that to you right away”… he acted super annoyed and started giving me a verbal breakdown of costs over the phone. As I jotted down what I could catch, I thought “why won’t he give me a written estimate”?
It wasn’t until I checked parts prices online and got a WRITTEN quote for the recommend service that It made sense. A written quote would have been evidence of the extreme price gouging Decann was attempting with me. Seriously…insist on a written quote from this shop and compare it to at least one other before having them do the work. My experience was a savings off more than half…$1.8k vs $3.9k verbal quote.
The receptionist (wife of owner I think?) was super friendly and sweet. So two stars instead of one, because I appreciate friendliness where ever it’s encountered.

I will never recommend/use this business again. I made an appointment for routine service in late June and was given an appointment late July. Fine I was not in a hurry. Brought my car in on the appointment date, as shown on my appt card, and was told there is no appointment shown on my end, don't have time today, and the earliest date I can do service is to wait another month. Really?. Took my car to another local auto shop that did the service the next day.Service: Oil change

Brought our Audi Q7 in due to a coolant leak. Decann's diagnosed and repaired the issue in less than 2 days at a reasonable price. Very reliable and fast service. Will be going back for all our repair needs going forward.

I had such high hope for this place brought my 2015 Volkswagen Beetle to have my diesel particular filter looked at and fixed he ended up doing other things then what I asked for 1 week later and 1,200 later my car never drove the same after that. and then a month later my diesel filter light came on again ! So I brought my car back to him and he told me he did not fix that when I clearly left him notes of what I wanted done ! So I leave my car again and 3 days later he calls and tells me my diesel filter is cracked and it will cost 2,600 to replace . I was shocked it's so hard to crack something like that and I drive like an old lady so I asked him to order the part and get it done ! I go in 2 days later to see if he ordered it and he said no I haven't !! With that I took my car from him brought it to Neillo Volkswagen and they just needed to clean it out at a cost of 190.00 and no my diesel filter was not cracked !!!!!!!!

My engine light came on right before we were leaving for Christmas and I just drove it in to see if they could check if the code was anything to be worried about. The owner without hesitation just said no problem come back in an hour and he checked it to find out a rat had built a home under my hood and started chewing through the wires. He is the only one working there and I really appreciated that he diagnosed it so quickly for me because I could have been stranded if I kept driving it.

Hi everyone, This is Matt Mckenzie, Son of Jack Mckenzie LA Rams. In the interim, I just wanted to pass on an establishment with integrity which is hard to find. I was really messed over by a dealership twice and I trusted them without know they were going to do me wrong.I won't mention names! Deakan's is vaulted to the highest point of contrast!
