Went to Cambria in July of 2017 by accident (long story). We weren't prepared for the cool evening temps, so the wife and I wandered into the Cambria General Store looking for jacket or hoodie. Note: We didn't try to use the restroom like some of these poor souls review-bombing the place, so I can't speak to that experience. However, we did have the absolute pleasure of meeting Lorraine (Loreen). Not only did she come out from behind the counter to help me select an appropriate hoodie (they only had one style), but she asked us where we were from and how we wound up in Cambria. This woman is an absolute gem of a person and a national treasure. I still have the hoodie. My cat sleeps on it sometimes. Yoshi loves it. I hope to make it back to Cambria one day, and I hope I get to talk to Lorraine again. I'm down for trying some of their fried chicken, too.

Would definitely stop here again, gas price was reasonable, plenty of snacks and drinks, and picked up 3 bundles of wood for under $8 each!

Great customer service, great spot to buy gifts or souvenirs! We ran across this place during our trip down PCH and wish I could've bought more souvenirs to bring back home ! Not a big wine selection if you are looking for wine but there are plenty of other spots around that little strip where you can find more options.

Always stop here when I'm in town. They have pretty much every drink snack soda and chip sweet salty savory tobacco and lotto also fuel. One stop shop and very reasonable prices. Cheaper than their competitors close by for sure. And the employee(s) I only see one he's great very very nice and helpful. Thank you

Doesnt get much better, the world we now exist in requires so much political correctness that no one can tell right from wrong. The folks here are good enough to make sure you get what youre needing when you come in without kissing someones behind for the sake of a soda and a bag of chips! Thank you! You ate appreciated!

I hit a deer tonight. Apparently it happens all the time, but as a city boy I was pretty shaken. Loreen at the counter could see it in my face and immediately walked around to offer hug and comfort. After some deep breaths I felt much better. She knew the next steps, how to report it and all that. She's a gem of a human, who knew every single person who went in on a first name basis and welcomed everyone warmly. My experience there made me terribly envious of the obviously close-knit community they have. Will be shopping here for the rest of my stay. The shop had everything I needed at a very reasonable price.

Travelers: Avoid at all costs Had the most unnerving experience at this place - we stopped to get some gas. I went inside to use the bathroom - they appeared to be public restrooms, with one labelled Men and one labelled Women. The bathroom was filthy, but who am I to complain about that, I always appreciate the use of restrooms at gas stations. However, when I walked out, the woman behind the counter began accosting me, asking me what I was "doing in the restroom" (not sure how much detail she wanted...?), and literally screaming - like, actual, full-throated, toddler-volume screaming at me at the top of her lungs for using the gas station restroom without "asking her first". This was one of the most bizarre and demented experiences I've ever had in any business, period. Whoever is letting this woman - who clearly has some deep and unchecked anger issues - interact with customers is a fool. Needless to say we opted to get gas at the nearby Shell. As a bonus, nobody appeared to be shrieking at any customers over there. Here's a tip to the store: maybe put up a sign saying you don't have public restrooms, or lock the doors on the restrooms, or take off the "Men" and "Women" signs on the doors. In the meantime, dear traveller: dear god, do not go here for any reason.

Didn't really find anything for myself but my father in law ended up purchasing some type of horse wall decoration thing... yeah idk - they have a lot of neat things and you'll definitely kill some time in here. Either way go ahead and stop by for a browse

This place is a trip! Very small with a few necessities but definitely not a store for groceries. Picture a convenience store that’s not all that convenient. The owner is very funny but extremely salty as well. If it’s late and you need cigarettes or a six pack, it’s a port in a storm.
