Beautiful details all around from the room lighting, bath products and zero plastic to the friendly staff, delicious breakfast sourced from a local farm. The location is right on the ocean with a cliff walk and dramatic views. We will be back!

Very aesthetically pleasing place. High quality toiletries and such. Bfast was nice- excellent oj, coffee tea sweet bread instant oatmeal fruit. Our room (14) was pretty small. Not enough space for our stuff (needed more surface area). Maybe a place to hang the hand towel would be good too. No fridge or anything but again aesthetics were good. Kevin at front desk was lovely.

Perfect location, and such nice touches with their friendly service. Double shout out to the fact that they provide oat milk with their tea/coffee in the morning — so helpful! Would love some gluten free breakfast pastries provided without prior notice so they are available.

I have to leave a glowing recommendation for this lodge. This was just one of six places that my wife and I stayed at, on a ten day drive up the coast. But this place will be somewhere I will talk about for the rest of my life. Not, mind you, for the beautiful views, which it has an abundance of. Or for the great location, from which we were able to walk to multiple great food and wine spots. Not even for the warm, clean, and inviting rooms, which they were. But the greatest feature that this lodge has is the people who work there to make each guests stay special. My wife and I were celebrating our twenty year wedding anniversary by driving up the coast together. It was an amazing trip until we checked into one of our other locations and we noticed that my wife's wedding ring was missing the center stone. We were crushed. There is simply nothing we could do. It's worse than a needle in a haystack. After the trip was over, she emailed the locations we had stayed at, as a last ditch effort to find some hope. Three months went by and we had come to peace with the fact that we got twenty great years out of the gem, and we had started to look into replacing it. My wife got an email, out of the blue, from the great people at the Cambria Beach Lodge. They too, had been touched by the sad situation we had fallen into, and had been keeping an eye out on the cleaning equipment that they use to clean the rooms. To our amazement, they found the stone and sent it back to us. I can't tell you how special that is. It would have been so easy for them to just keep it, or disregard our misfortune. It warms my heart to know that there is still amazing people in the world that will go out of their way for complete strangers. I now have a great story to tell our family for generations, and I will always do my best to tell the story of the wonderful staff that cares at the Cambria Beach Lodge.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Rooms were modern and clean. Beds comfortable and great showers. We loved our stay here. It’s our fav place in Cambria now. Very pet friendly.

Rooms are adorable and the bed is 5 stars alone! Lobby and deck are super cute and inviting too. Can’t beat being across the street from the beach you can hear the waves crash from the room. Great walking trail to enjoy some peaceful quality time with someone or yourself. Will be back!Rooms: Cute and comfyWalkability: Great trail along the beach.

The hotel is across from the ocean. Clean and smells clean not like your typical hotel smell. Staff is nice. Breakfast is simple and conveniently packed. Definitely will come back and recommend to others. Check out the Art Shop down the street, meet Art the artist.Rooms: Rooms are clean and smells good.Safety: No suspicious activities observed.Walkability: They have this nice wooden trail built that goes far around the ocean shore. Bikes not allowed on it but strollers and wheelchairs are.Food & drinks: Nearby restaurants that are open until 9 /10pm. Good and reasonable price.

There is not a desk or refrigerator in the room. I was able to get comfy with my laptop on my lap, so that was fine. The local restaurants serve pretty large portions, and it was a shame not to be able to take my leftovers. I recommend split plates if eating locally. The room is nice, very clean, and the beds were super comfy. The sunset from the upstairs deck was beautiful. There is a local bus stop right out front that was great for getting to town during the day.Walkability: It's about a two mile walk from town but walking to eat locally is definitely possible. There is local transit available during the day. I used it and it was very clean and convenient.

I am very impressed with this small, intimate, well renovated boutique hotel! It is a perfect stop when traveling on PCH! Unfortunately, we only stayed here one night! But being in this small quaint town made us want to stay a whole week! I wish I remembered her name, however, the lady who checked us in was so hospitable! She even gave us glasses of red wine after our long travels! You can really tell the owner and/or designers were very detail oriented. The sun deck was perfect and they served a small breakfast over looking the ocean! I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, normally 4 and above…. I have no idea why this place is listed at 2 stars! I felt it a little risky when I booked but decided to move forward because of all the good reviews!!! I’m sooooo glad we stayed here!

Stayed here for 2 nights and highly recommend! Lovely, peaceful and pleasant. The location is beautiful. The staff is amazing and helpful. No A/C and it was warm but there was a fan in the room. Very clean rooms. Lots of bathroom counter space. Small closet Comfortable beds!

Absolutely perfect place to stay. My husband and I booked to stay one night, and were both sad that we didn’t stay longer. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and so cozy. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Perfect location, right on the beach, close to restaurants and shops. If we go back to California we will definitely stay again.Nearby activities: Beach, boardwalk, bike pathWalkability: Can walk to beach and restaurants

Disappointing is an understatement. Our room was not very clean, it smelled bad, and when I brought this up at check out, I was ignored. The multiple times I reached out to management about the state of the room, radio silence. This place is way too expensive for what it is. Should be $200 tops. Your money is better spent at any other hotel in the area. This one is fake nice. I’m attaching a photo of the absurd amount of dust caked into my bedside table. Will never return.We stayed here years ago, when they still cared, and I’m so disappointed to see the state of this place now. Management should be ashamed. Feels like they gave up and really don’t care about customer experience.

Great staff. Very friendly. Willing to accommodate and always with a smile. Good location. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
